Still riding the wave of my weekend
I am really trying to focus on the scale being data points and NOT a reason to super restrict OR feel free to stray. I have my plan--when I stick to it my weight responds in time.
Working on more movement everyday. I have set a non-negotiable minimum of 10K steps each day with a stretch goal of 15k (which does require dedictated exercise to reach).

Off to the hot springs tonight and a nice dinner at the restaurant. Hoping I can find something on the menu that won't totally do me in.. Later this month I have a bigger trip planned as well so we will see if the 175 goal becomes a reality

Oct 194 This month there is a lot going on. This weekend is my hubbyβs birthday weekend and we will be in Orlando for 3 days. Then later on I have a week long cruise. So Iβd love to lose but the real goal is to not gain anything.

Oct 11 196 Iβm ok with this. Was out of town for a holiday weekend for my hubbyβs birthday. Glad to have power today. Only lost it for a few minutes Wednesday night.
Oct 18 198! WTH! Hopefully just pms. Iβm off on my cruise tomorrow. So needed. Work has been crazy and will only get crazier. We always take the stairs and never the elevator and I will hopefully make good food choices most of the trip. Have a great weekend everyone!2 -

Had a nice overnight soaking getaway at the hot springs with my hubby and another couple we are friends with. Its an annual tradition the last few years and its a nice getaway.
Im guessing the drop might have been a fluid retention drop I am seeing from all the soaking. Even did a few cold plunges which I have been learning to appreciate more and more for reducing inflammation.
I was pretty careful with my dinner choice and had a fish dish. To be honest, the food just didn't taste all that great so I didn't end up finishing my meal . I did try a small dessert which gave me an instant headache from the vast amount of sugar in it. I did have three glasses of wine and a beer over the course of the 24 hours of our stay...
Glad to be home and back on my schedule.

Back from our three day getaway with DD and grandkids. Food was a slight challenge at the theme park and scale is showing a sodium and sugar gainβ¦..back to the drawing board with clean eating today!

Looks like I missed yesterday and I donβt know why! But it gave me more posts to read through before posting mine. Iβm inspired by you all showing up for this even though weβre all having a bit of a rough go these last few weeks. My motivation has been waning so Iβm just trying to put one foot in front of the other and hoping the inspiration will return.

I've been off my calorie watching, etc, for a month, so I know the above is simply water weight and getting back to whatever setpoint I'll be starting from again. I'm logging food, and being deliberate with what I'm eating. I've exercised this week too, but not counting any of that toward calories allowed. But I know I'm going to be bummed when I hit that first plateau and the number isn't budging like it is right now. We have some major life schtuff going on, and it would be so easy for me to eat my feelings right now. I've watched several of you handle big life stuff though, and not destroy your progress, and I want to be like you. So thank you for being good role models. This is where I'm finding my inspiration and motivation to get back to it. π©΅π©΅π©΅

@canadamarie - yes, one foot in front of the other. The hardest thing is when we hit these times when nothing is moving much , we have to keep doing the right things for our bodies and health in spite of not feeling like there is no progress. I am struggling as well and just trying to take it day by day and to help with motivation listening to some you tube videos.

@ManifestingToday - being deliberate.. I love that. It so true. Two nights ago I made a pan of brownies for the hubs and last night I really really wanted one for the taste of it but I was full from my dinner and I had hit all my numbers (with a slight overage on the carbs) so I said No, drank my water, and went to bed to read. Its hard some days for sure but I just try to keep in mind where I want to get to and I have a ways to go..
Anyone who is getting out of the "funk" or stall, can you all share any tips for those of us also struggling? (beyond upping water and increasing steps?)

I really did not anticipate this month being so stuck.. I guess after having lost about 30lbs my body is adjusting at some level. I was given the advice to increase calories for a while , which I did early on in the month and honestly I don't feel like that was good for me yet.1
