Good morning beautiful ladies!
Lanette thanks for the carpet tip!
I saw a doctor yesterday and he said three more days of clear liquids diet. I'm not really hungry, but I keep thinking it's time for a food treat. And every time I go in the kitchen I think about what I could eat. Tea or broth or water. It's getting old. I wonder how many people really can do this.
Then Saturday afternoon I can have a little plain rice, and gradually back to real food from there. So maybe a little turkey on Thanksgiving.
My sister is coming next week. I have to clear off and make her bed. I bought some games to play: checkers, Scrabble and backgammon. But I have to clear off a table, too. It's good to have goals!
Have a great day! May you be happy, healthy, safe and free!

You can do it Annie. I did it a few months ago. It's not fun, but the pain isn't fun either, so it will be worth it.
Hang in there!

Lisa, thanks for the tip about the start of a new month. I havenโt figured out how to bookmark on my phone so I just do a search every time I log in. Iโm not the most tech savvy. ๐2

All the new people There will be a new link posted sometime today that will bring you to the new November thread. This happens every month and is a great new beginning. Once there, at the top of the page will be a little piece of white ribbon. Click on this to turn it to color. That is the bookmark.
Then next time you log in, click on your picture then on the word bookmark and you will get a list of your bookmarks. If the new thread is the only one you turned the ribbon color, then you only click on the title of the page and you are here!
I hope this helps and gives you an easy way to find us!

Welcome, PdizzleB! Hi ladies, I have done two days of step aerobics. Boy, do I sweat doing all of that? I have a vast workout mat, so the step doesn't move around. I lit the candles in the fireplace and had the cinnamon clove diffuser going. I cut off the lights and had the ceiling fan going. I wanted to work out with ambiance. Initially, Rose thought I did all of this for her. When I got going, she moved out of the way. So Rose ended up sleeping while I was working out. Since I use Plant Guru when I get migraines, I thought I might try Plant Guru's deep-muscle formula. That stuff works on the back of my neck and shoulders. They should arrange for massages for nurses on Nurse's Week. Sometimes, I wonder if it is stress. I lost 8 pounds since the 14 of October. Today, I will go to the pool, work out, and maybe use the hot tub. Currently, I am tired, and I need to take the garbage out and take a nap. I was up late reading.l I found out where the store is to purchase my supplies, and they are glad I ordered new stuff. I'd better go now. Thanks, Lanette, Barbara, Carol, Lisa, Michelle, Annie, and essentially all of you, for your support.

Well ladies I am on day 14 of not washing my hair. My scalp feels more healthy, and my hair feels stronger. I am still detoxing from using shampoo though. They say it takes a month or so. I have rinsed my hair with diluted ACV and that seems to keep the oil production to a manageable level. My goal in this little experiment is to not ever use shampoo again. As long as I massage my scalp it should remain healthy, and they say if it does start getting flakes which might happen as things progress, that to continue to brush my hair, and it will go away. Up and onward! Right now it feels kind of liberating!

Mo - you are rocking it! Great job with the step aerobics and getting all of your activity in. I'll bet it helps decompress the stress you get at your job.
Lisa - love the photos of Egg and reading about her antics. The neatest cat we ever had was a gray one, Egg's twin, who showed up as a stray starving kitten at the farmhouse one day. He was a "Hemingway cat" with extra toes, so DH named him Mitts. He was a barn cat, but very friendly and affectionate and sadly got hit on the busy road in front of our house. I say I'll never get another cat but if another Mitts were to show up, he'd sure be welcome.
Annie - so when your sis comes, will you be scheduling your colonoscopy and/or other scans they want you to have? Hang in there on the liquid diet.
Rita - Love Beetlejuice! What a great costume.
PDizzle - cute photo! Turbo (cute name!) is a champ for holding still for it. I can't remember your name - could you please sign it or a nickname you want to use and your location, specific or general, at the end of each post? Thank you so much. Helps us keep each other straight.

Lanette I went ahead and scheduled the colonoscopy for January, and let my sister know. So I hope she can be here for that. She was going to drive up next week but cancelled because protests are predicted for after the election. She will be busy with her family and Thanksgiving and Christmas after that. So I don't know when we will see her.

Rebecca ~ Why in the world have you decided not to wash your hair?
I did another wall in the den today....vacuumed, mopped, cobweb removal and still need to dust table tops and lamps. I have one more half wall to do. We have an antique slate topped table in there that I can't figure out how to renew as it looks pretty dull.

My little goblins...
Today was a long day.. went and picked up Sams order, went to Wal-Mart and did shopping, then went up to Susans and put an automatic kitty litter box together, then came home and fed Alfie.. plus did laundry and going to hop in the shower..
Have to take Doris to her follow up appointment tomorrow.

Carol - a quick Google suggests a thorough clean with dish soap and water. When dry you can polish with slate oil, teak oil, or WD40!
Sounds as if you are making progress!
Quiet day. Did quite a bit of writing. I enjoyed researching the Mesozoic period, which is perfectly represented in the Jurassic Coast in the South West of England. I've been there and picked up fossils on the beach.
We had Dim Sum for lunch, Waitrose delivered, and I made a heavenly organic frittata for dinner with a cherry tomato salad. Plenty of frittata left for a sandwich lunch tomorrow.
Trying to decide whether to dye my roots tomorrow, after I've killed off the dinosaurs. I will enjoy that. I have a Zoom with my girlfriends at 4 pm.

Because I got tired of washing my hair and feeling the chemical buildup, and having an itchy scalp. I have tried so many different brands its ridiculous. Of course most are not the expensive brands either. So just giving my hair a break. Its doing well, not noticeably oily, or weird. Its a wee bit flatter but the ACV is keeping my scalp good. I have always wanted to just do away with shampooing my hair altogether, but I didn't do the correct things. My goal is to just rinse it when I shower every other day, massage my scalp daily so my natural oils get to the ends of my hair. I am making Lee smell it daily, "hey good morning, smell my hair"! I don't want it having a weird scent, and since I have no sense of smell the task is up to him!๐

Hello, everyone, and Happy Halloween;
I didn't realize today would be a holiday at my gym. I took time to show up and wash my hair. (They require this before getting in, but I'd prefer to do it at home.) Then I put PreSwim in my hair, only to discover no one was there but my therapist and office assistant. I was so embarrassed. So, I should have picked up Rose, but I was too cold to get out in the rain to get her. I decided to pick her up at home after the workout. So, I will do Tae BO today and strength training tomorrow. I better get started now. For some reason, I have been so tired and cold. I missed a message about needing me at work. Too tired and not ready.
Jeanne, I was still posting on the wrong month and couldn't figure out how to find everyone. I believe it was Barbara who found me and told me to get on the correct month. Lisa helped me with the change of the months. I am not a tech person. I do stress out at the end of the month for fear that I will lose my group family. So, I understand. My friend in Chicago wants to join, but she can not figure it out.
I am enjoying the Halloween pictures.
Rebecca, M16 helps me with my dandruff and psoriasis. Otherwise, I would have bald spots on the side of my temples.
It's the perfect Beetle juice picture, BTW.
In two more weeks, these texts and calls will hopefully stop.
I have to admit that I haven't put in new outdoor lights because every time I buy one, Julia and her ex steal it from me. So, I can not reach it. So, I didn't buy any candy. I didn't want to be stuck with it. When I move to Chicago, I will donate candy to a church that does trunk or treat.
I wanted to load photos, but I need to figure that out. I still don't understand how to bolden the names on here. Maybe I will try BBCode next time, as Barbie or Barbara told me. Anyway, have a safe and wonderful Halloween night.
XO,
Mo in Mississippi

This has been a tough day. We called 911 for Jake last night and they came and said it was just a scare with shortness of breath and left him here. Tonight he decided he wanted to go the hospital so they took him. Annie is stressed and needs a lot of attention.
