    Good Morning! How did we all do this week?

    @Zaxa2021, I am basically writing off the next couple weeks. Keeping things under control is the watchword for holidays. 🙂

    Day 43—12/08— 174.2 - Shooting for one pound a week now. It's supposed to get temporarily warmer for a couple days....hoping to get in some walking. But also might have to go to court for jury duty. Had a bagel for breakfast and made sure I took enough insulin to compensate. Chicken for dinner, I think.

    Day 44—12/09— I forgot what I weighed.....grrrrr.

    Day 45—12/10— 174.6 - I think my diabetes is fighting me for the weight....that and age. Still, I am trucking along. I am eating well so I am not concerned. December is tough anyway. I have a party on Saturday and I do want to enjoy it. I am not a big drinker....might have a glass of wine, but then just water after that.

    Day 46—12/11— 174 - Going grocery shopping in a bit, despite the deluge of rain. I ordered a cinnamon cake for Christmas and am putting it in the freezer so I won't be tempted.

    Day 47—12/12— 172.8 - Going out to dinner tonight (seafood) so I don't expect that loss to hold, but for now I'll take it.

    Day 48—12/13— 174.6 - I expected the weight, and that's fine. I know its mostly water. Back on the stick today!

    Day 49—12/14— 174.8 - S'ok...I am patient. I am still down 15 pounds from when I started. Not expecting much of a change until after the New Year.

    Beginning of Round Thoughts:
    I am Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired. I mean, I am LITERALLY both Sick with many ailments and Tired of putting myself through this back & forth! I weighed 181.6 on January 1st, 2024. This has not been a good year for me. How much progress I can make in November, December and January is very very questionable, at the very least. Those months are riddled with holidays, baking pies and cakes, making cookies and fudge. Lots of decadent dishes high in calories and carbs. And lots of shopping excursions away from home which always include restaurants and long car rides. So many celebrations including multiple family birthdays as well! These are the hardest months of the year for most of us. But I’m not throwing in the towel just yet!. I will do ALL I can, As I can, When I can. Life is going to happen and I will definitely live it, but there are lots of days where progress can still be made and/or damages can be mitigated. I must stay steadfast and strong in my resolve. This is about my health journey, not just my weight journey. I will not give up based on what month the calendar page is on!

    Day 48-12/13-194.4-(Trend weight 193.4) I made some pretty bad choices yesterday. A neighbor brought over some thick slabs of fresh homemade bread which we slathered with butter and ate with coffee. Not exactly a good choice with my T2D. I skipped my entire dinner because of it which means any chance of nutrition went straight out the window. Then late last night I got hungry watching TV (which is to be expected with such a stupid dinner) and the snacks were less than desirable. I’m glad the scale did not go up but it really didn’t go down much either. It was not a good path to weight loss progress or better health. I hope she leaves her bread home today because it’s something I have a hard time saying no to. I’d like a real meal today! The choices are always up to me, this I do know. But sometimes the willpower is out of my hands!

    Day 49-12/14-191.8-(Trend weight 193.3) I have no idea why there was such a bug whoosh today. I am questioning the scale reading and wish I would have weighed in a second place or with my second scale. Especially when I questioned it just the other day for a large drop. DGS had me hopping at the time so I’m stuck with just one reading. I’ll take the weight as a win today but will eagerly wait to see what happens tomorrow. Even though my goal is to lose ANYTHING per round, my micro mini personal goal is to stop focusing on the big picture and focus on just 5 pounds at a time. I think I was at 193.6 when I started focusing on this current 5 pounds. I need to land at 188.6. 3.2 lbs to go if the scale is accurate. T-Minus 1.8 lbs gone (I hope). We are already to the halfway point tomorrow? Yikes!!!!!

    Day 43 ~ 12/08: 175.8 Work

    Day 44 ~ 12/09: 177, Monday morning weigh ins con’t to be brutal ☹ Joined a WW virtual meeting, WW is shifting it’s plan to include lean red meats and potatoes as Zero point foods. Focus needs to be on portion sizes and being aware of saity levels.

    Day 45 ~ 12/10: 177.4 Worked. My enthusiasm for this job is waning. Makes for a longer work day. Last 3 days I’ve had different cooks every day so it’s okay but . . .

    Day 46 ~ 12/11: 175.4 not totally on plan but walked/hiked for 90 minutes. Still no snow!

    Day 47 ~ 12/12: 174.8 yeah!! Jeeeez, found mouse turds in another cupboard so deep cleaning continues. Off to town soon to buy more bleach!
    Who’s going to join me in my daily CHALLENGE?? How many times today do we pop something in to our mouths while standing up? Only eat when sitting at “our place” at the table.

    Day 48 ~ 12/13: 174.6 Failed horribly at my own challenge last nite; obviously a worse habit than I realized. So shifting it for me to track/count how many times I mindlessly pop food into my mouth while standing. Hope to lessen the number each day.

    Day 49 ~ 12/14: 176 Realizing that 90% of yesterday’s eating happened when standing. Working on it.

    The most that I have ever lost on one of these 100s is 7lbs.
    I am not sure what it is going to take, but I would like to get back to 130 and below.
    I started my weight loss journey because my doc threatened to put me on blood pressure medication for the rest of my life. I joined MFP at 198 pounds although I had been heavier than that.
    I lost enough weight to chase away high blood pressure, but now the doc is saying that my arthritis in knees, feet, and ankles would benefit greatly by me dropping another 30 pounds. That number used to be 15 pounds, but I have been gaining and gaining these last couple of years.
    I am an active person, and eat nutritious food.

    Day 43—12/08— 146.6 - back to my start weight of this 100. I have been up and down and all around it. Ice skating today : - ) And...chipping away at the last bit of my ice bank which was around 3 feet high at one point.

    Day 44—12/09— 147.8 - Eh??? Like last Sunday, I went hard on the ice mound, plus workouts plus ice skating, and barely ate. It took me all week to get that off. However, the "hill" is now gone! There was one massive boulder that came out intact so that I didn't have to chip small bits of it away : - ) I can barely move my hand this morning.


    Day 45—12/10— 147.2 - Going out for dinner. Eating out is always a recipe for a 3 pound gain for me, even if I just have a salad with Grilled Chicken...and I won't be, it is a Thai place, so will likely be Noodles of some sort. I try to eat out only 6 times per year, but I was in Cancun for almost 14 days, so ate out twice per day every day during that time. I am going to pre-log. I will be having chicken satay as an app, and then Drunken noodles. Going to make sure to get a good workout in.

    Day 46—12/11— 147.2 - Whew, really expected to see a jump after dinner out. No chicken satay : - ( The table before us got the last order of it. The main thing that I was looking forward to, I do love peanut sauce with grilled chicken skewers. I had only 200 calories prior to going out, to mitigate. 2 jobs today and tomorrow, but it is the new job, which finishes at 9pm instead of midnight : - )

    Day 47—12/12— 147.2

    Day 48—12/13— 147.8 - Quick fly by. Yesterday morning before work I began working on my "complaint" to the BC employment standards (labour board) to try to recoup my 3k of lost wages. When I went in to continue it this morning everything that I had added was gone. It looked like each page that I entered saved when I went to the next of the lengthy process. Apparently not. Staff party for my day job tonight beginning at 9:30pm, company tomorrow, company and a play on Sunday. Busy lol

    Day 49—12/14— 147.4 - I got my complaint to BC employment standards yesterday after work and before our Christmas party at my job at the Indian restaurant. The food, drinks, karaoke, presents and dancing were so great. A bunch of Filipino girls that work there made things like Adobo chicken, Cassava cake etc., plus the restaurant put out rice, beef masala, and daal mahkni. Super fun. I got home at 1:30am. Today I have company coming for Mulled Wine, Camembert and snacks. I put the mulled wine together when I got home from work at 5:30 yesterday and will turn it back on again soon so that I have that lovely smell : - )
    Surprised that I didn't gain any weight, but I danced lots :- )

    Logging and weighing every day worked for me to lose weight while I was working :)

    Weight loss Dr stopped Wegovy for a minimum of 6 weeks during recovery. We decided to stop Wegovy for 90 days and meet for follow up appointment.
    Pretty sure Wegovy is out of my system now, no limits on how much I can eat :open_mouth:

    Beginning of Round Thoughts:
    I am Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired. I mean, I am LITERALLY both Sick with many ailments and Tired of putting myself through this back & forth! I weighed 181.6 on January 1st, 2024. This has not been a good year for me. How much progress I can make in November, December and January is very very questionable, at the very least. Those months are riddled with holidays, baking pies and cakes, making cookies and fudge. Lots of decadent dishes high in calories and carbs. And lots of shopping excursions away from home which always include restaurants and long car rides. So many celebrations including multiple family birthdays as well! These are the hardest months of the year for most of us. But I’m not throwing in the towel just yet!. I will do ALL I can, As I can, When I can. Life is going to happen and I will definitely live it, but there are lots of days where progress can still be made and/or damages can be mitigated. I must stay steadfast and strong in my resolve. This is about my health journey, not just my weight journey. I will not give up based on what month the calendar page is on!

I am questioning the scale reading and wish I would have weighed in a second place or with my second scale. Especially when I questioned it just the other day for a large drop. DGS had me hopping at the time so I’m stuck with just one reading. I’ll take the weight as a win today but will eagerly wait to see what happens tomorrow. Even though my goal is to lose ANYTHING per round, my micro mini personal goal is to stop focusing on the big picture and focus on just 5 pounds at a time. I think I was at 193.6 when I started focusing on this current 5 pounds. I need to land at 188.6. 3.2 lbs to go if the scale is accurate. T-Minus 1.8 lbs gone (I hope). I’m in a wrapping frenzy and hope to get a lot more done today. A new contractor is coming in the morning for some tile work. A female which is unusual around this very small town. She will work in conjunction with my current contractor who doesn’t have a tile guy at the moment. I anticipate jealousy by my 1st contractor as she will be working around and behind his work (plumbing, drywall etc.). He has a lot of pride but is not as picky as she is. Pride goeth before a fall. I hope he will mind his manners!

    The most that I have ever lost on one of these 100s is 7lbs.
    I am not sure what it is going to take, but I would like to get back to 130 and below.
    I started my weight loss journey because my doc threatened to put me on blood pressure medication for the rest of my life. I joined MFP at 198 pounds although I had been heavier than that.
    I lost enough weight to chase away high blood pressure, but now the doc is saying that my arthritis in knees, feet, and ankles would benefit greatly by me dropping another 30 pounds. That number used to be 15 pounds, but I have been gaining and gaining these last couple of years.
    I am an active person, and eat nutritious food.
