Pounds Lost so Far: 7.6. Averages out to be just over a pound a week, which I'm happy with.
Day 51β12/16β 150.4. My food choices were horrible this weekend so this is not much of a surprise. I'm back at it today though.
Day 52β12/17β 150.8. Well this isn't good. I'll do better today than what I've been doing the last few days.

Previous and Future WeeksPrevious days' notes were lost when I got a new phone and my notes didn't get carried over. Copying and pasting from an old post proved to be too troublesome, especially for something that no one really needs or wants to re-read.
Day 36β12/01β 148.7. I was expecting my weight to be up from my sick weight yesterday, but wasn't expecting this much. I ate yesterday, but still well under my calories as I wasn't feeling great. Oh well.

Day 41β12/06β 147.0. I feel like I'm in the zone right now. I'm motivated, my healthy habits are taking hold and becoming routine, and I just feel like I'm doing things "right". I know this feeling won't last forever, but I'm going to try to hold on to it for a few more pounds at least.
Day 42β12/07β 146.4. My boys are spending the weekend with Gramma, so I'll have some more time to myself today. Have some errands, chores and things to do, but hoping to also have some down time for Me Time and maybe a little extra at the gym.

Day 43β12/08β 145.5. Hmmm... I'm dropping weight a bit too fast. Almost 2 pounds in 2 days? A bit of a woosh may have been building up, but I also think I'm a bit dehydrated. I haven't been focusing on water the last few days. So I'm going to try drinking more today, and see if my weight evens out a bit.
Day 44β12/09β 147.2. I drank more water yesterday, putting me around where I think I should be. I gotta stay hydrated.
Day 45β12/10β147.7. Took the day off from the gym, but went for a walk. Calories were just a smidge higher than I would like them to be. Going to pre-track my food today.
Day 46β12/11β 147.7. Anxiety was pretty bad. Exercise was pretty scarce yesterday. Eating was okay.
Day 47β12/12β 148.0. I was really tired yesterday so took it easy, again. Food wasn't the best. I'm going to do better today.

Day 51β12/16β 176.4 - Found out my egg lady's hens aren't laying as much this time of year, so I will have to buy eggs for about a month or so. This time of year I use a lot if eggs....especially when I am trying to lose weight.

The most that I have ever lost on one of these 100s is 7lbs.
I am not sure what it is going to take, but I would like to get back to 130 and below.
I started my weight loss journey because my doc threatened to put me on blood pressure medication for the rest of my life. I joined MFP at 198 pounds although I had been heavier than that.
I lost enough weight to chase away high blood pressure, but now the doc is saying that my arthritis in knees, feet, and ankles would benefit greatly by me dropping another 30 pounds. That number used to be 15 pounds, but I have been gaining and gaining these last couple of years.
I am an active person, and eat nutritious food.

Day 51β12/16β 147.4 - Starting a new work schedule at my day job today, 3 longer days per week for the next 2 months. I will take extra food with me (rice cakes and nut butter, apples, oranges, cheerios with almond milk) because of the longer than usual shifts. Yes, it is a restaurant lol, but I don't really eat restaurant food anymore or I would quickly be back up to 200.
Day 52β12/17β 148.2 - No idea why the jump up in weight. Very busy day at work, only time for lots of lemon water, one orange and my cheerios during 8 hours, ate a bit when I got home exhausted, but not much. I was already into my jammies when had some homemade Adobo chicken from one of the Filipino girls at work, possibly loaded with salt? Hopefully the weight gain is just a blip.
Day 53β12/18β 148.0 - Early morning car appointment, took the day off of my day job for that, just my evening job today.
Day 54β12/19β 148.0 - Into a round of: rutabaga, yam, brussels, 1/4 cup stuffing, carrots, and clubhouse gravy every night for dinner. I plan on keeping this up, I cook enough to last 2 days so it is ready for when I get home from work each night. Saturday night I plan on swaying away from this, but otherwise I feel like I am getting a bunch of much needed nutrition since I have felt exhausted for 4 or 5 days.
Day 55β12/20β 148.0 or 147.8 - I weighed 4 times and go 2 of each. Planning an indulgent night tomorrow night after work, but have prepped my veggies for tonight's dinner. On a split shift today, with a visit to the tire shop in between - getting a warning light that tire pressure is off. I did try to put air at a gas station last night, but I don't know if I did it right lol. I had the cluster panel replaced Wednesday, $2k argh. It is all in Miles instead of Kilometres, and F instead of C. I am okay with that, I grew up with that. I was finally able to see my gas gauge again! Yep, I was out of gas and didn't know it. Hi-ho hi-ho so off to work I go. Retirement is looking even further away for this girl, but it is what it is, there are always going to be unexpected expenses.

I am Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired. I mean, I am LITERALLY both Sick with many ailments and Tired of putting myself through this back & forth! I weighed 181.6 on January 1st, 2024. This has not been a good year for me. How much progress I can make in November, December and January is very very questionable, at the very least. Those months are riddled with holidays, baking pies and cakes, making cookies and fudge. Lots of decadent dishes high in calories and carbs. And lots of shopping excursions away from home which always include restaurants and long car rides. So many celebrations including multiple family birthdays as well! These are the hardest months of the year for most of us. But Iβm not throwing in the towel just yet!. I will do ALL I can, As I can, When I can. Life is going to happen and I will definitely live it, but there are lots of days where progress can still be made and/or damages can be mitigated. I must stay steadfast and strong in my resolve. This is about my health journey, not just my weight journey. I will not give up based on what month the calendar page is on!

I will try to make today a better day as tomorrow is the long travel (medical and shopping) day and it wonβt be any better. In fact, it will be worse as daughter is planning Chinese food which we Never Get unless traveling and two meals out will be required. Our dinner isnβt until the 28th so I hope to string together a few days after Friday where I can be compliant. I just got to stay away from the BLTβs (bites, licks, tastes) when I do my baking next week!

We were slammed with a winter storm so I didnβt have to get up or do an extra-early weigh-in. I was expected to travel a very long in-state day for DDβs medical appt but had to cancel that as we have been snowed in. Got some shoveling in today for sure with more to go. The rest is up to my son! I had pizza yesterday so Iβm not surprised at the uptick. Also it is Day 2 with no TMI. All excuses aside, I must stick to plan today and try to reach my water goal too. Itβs creeping back up and not conducive to that 5 pound loss Iβve been eyeing in the showroom window. T-Minus 0.8 lbs with 4.2 lbs to go. Time to get the gears out of reverse and move forward! 10/27: 222.9 - Up 5.4 lbs in one week of vacation indulgence. I really hope that some of this is water retention from travel and will shed quickly in the next 2 days. The trip with my sister was great but I drank cocktails that had way more calories than my normal glass of wine. Think that was probably my biggest mistake. Starting this round in the RED!

10/29: 218.8 / 221.1 - Gradually shedding the travel water retention and vacation weight gain. Wondering if this is my real weight which would mean I gained a real pound on this trip ... much like all my other 4 vacations in the past 2 years. Now will be the real challenge to get rid of this pound!
10/30: 217.9 / 220.1 - My knees are bothering me again after all the walking on vacation. Today Iβm going to focus on the bike exercise and go back to my PT exercises to help stretch out and strengthen the muscles around the knees.
10/31: 216.5 / 219.0 - π Yeah! A new low and my trend is under 220. All the grandkids are getting together at my daughterβs home for chili and to trick-o-treat together tonight. Iβm looking forward to it! This year we have Elsa and Ana from Frozen and a beautiful pink princess.
11/1: 217.7 / 218.4 - Indulged a little too much plus didnβt get on the bike but did walk with the grandkids trick-or-treating.
11/2: 216.8 / 217.8 - Great lunch out yesterday with an old friend. I chose a fun harvest salad with grilled chicken, spring mix lettuce, pumpkin seeds, roasted beets & butternut squash, goat cheese, quinoa with Fig Balsamic dressing. It was yummy! Never tried these veggies before roasted and never liked beets before but this I loved! Only ate half and stopped when I was full.
Today the families are going to the zoo. Lots of chasing grandkids in my future morning adventures.
11/3: 218.7 / 217.9 - Too much yesterday! Daughter brought both Kolaches and donuts which I had 1 of each. Then DIL brought key lime cup cakes she made for my birthday celebration which were yummy and I had 1 after a salad lunch and another after pasta dinner. The results of the indulgence showed up on the scale this morning.

π― Lost most of the vacation gain but Iβm still in the red for this challenge as Iβve not gotten back to my starting 217.5 pre-vacation reading. Lots of things I could have and should have done this week β¦ bike, not eat so many cupcakes, etc.
11/5: 215.8 / 217.2 - I had a βspellβ last night where my heart raced for over an hour (180 bpm). Drank water, lied down, breathing β¦ tried everything I knew to get it to slow down. I have vascular syncope and almost blacked out at dinner when it kicked in. Of course this had to be the time when my DIL and granddaughter were staying over and my sister was here for dinner. Better this morning. Wondering if I burned off the calories LOL

That new part is kind of hilarious, seeing the temperature in Farenheit again. I don't think that I have ever fully changed over to Celsius although freezing at 0 instead of 32 sort of makes sense.
My newest job is only like a block away from my house, but I still take my car to carry stuff and not walk home in the dark.
As for my pay, it will be in the hands of the government now. Those claims are first come first serve for the entire province, so it will take a few months. Basically, they will pay me, and then they will get the money from him. Obviously it will be a lot more than what he owes me since he will get dinged for unpaid taxes etc. once the case is opened. I did give him an opportunity to do right by me, but he didn't so now he is going to be in a big heap of trouble. Maybe they will confiscate his Ferrari and new Maserati that he bought this summer! I kept very careful records and documents, they are in the hands of the labour board now.4 -

Clubhouse is a spice brand. Their gravy and sauces come in packets of many varieties. They have gluten free and reduced salt versions also. I buy the reduced salt kind.
I love gravy soooo much. I enjoy drowning my veggies in it, so finding a 20 calorie variety has been a great tweak for me so that I don't have to cut down on the amount of gravy : - )2 -

I am not sure what it is going to take, but I would like to get back to 130 and below.
I started my weight loss journey because my doc threatened to put me on blood pressure medication for the rest of my life. I joined MFP at 198 pounds although I had been heavier than that.
I lost enough weight to chase away high blood pressure, but now the doc is saying that my arthritis in knees, feet, and ankles would benefit greatly by me dropping another 30 pounds. That number used to be 15 pounds, but I have been gaining and gaining these last couple of years.
I am an active person, and eat nutritious food.

Day 51β12/16β 147.4 - Starting a new work schedule at my day job today, 3 longer days per week for the next 2 months. I will take extra food with me (rice cakes and nut butter, apples, oranges, cheerios with almond milk) because of the longer than usual shifts. Yes, it is a restaurant lol, but I don't really eat restaurant food anymore or I would quickly be back up to 200.
Day 52β12/17β 148.2 - No idea why the jump up in weight. Very busy day at work, only time for lots of lemon water, one orange and my cheerios during 8 hours, ate a bit when I got home exhausted, but not much. I was already into my jammies when had some homemade Adobo chicken from one of the Filipino girls at work, possibly loaded with salt? Hopefully the weight gain is just a blip.
Day 53β12/18β 148.0 - Early morning car appointment, took the day off of my day job for that, just my evening job today.
Day 54β12/19β 148.0 - Into a round of: rutabaga, yam, brussels, 1/4 cup stuffing, carrots, and clubhouse gravy every night for dinner. I plan on keeping this up, I cook enough to last 2 days so it is ready for when I get home from work each night. Saturday night I plan on swaying away from this, but otherwise I feel like I am getting a bunch of much needed nutrition since I have felt exhausted for 4 or 5 days.
Day 55β12/20β 148.0 or 147.8 - I weighed 4 times and go 2 of each. Planning an indulgent night tomorrow night after work, but have prepped my veggies for tonight's dinner. On a split shift today, with a visit to the tire shop in between - getting a warning light that tire pressure is off. I did try to put air at a gas station last night, but I don't know if I did it right lol. I had the cluster panel replaced Wednesday, $2k argh. It is all in Miles instead of Kilometres, and F instead of C. I am okay with that, I grew up with that. I was finally able to see my gas gauge again! Yep, I was out of gas and didn't know it. Hi-ho hi-ho so off to work I go. Retirement is looking even further away for this girl, but it is what it is, there are always going to be unexpected expenses.

Beginning of Round Thoughts:
I am Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired. I mean, I am LITERALLY both Sick with many ailments and Tired of putting myself through this back & forth! I weighed 181.6 on January 1st, 2024. This has not been a good year for me. How much progress I can make in November, December and January is very very questionable, at the very least. Those months are riddled with holidays, baking pies and cakes, making cookies and fudge. Lots of decadent dishes high in calories and carbs. And lots of shopping excursions away from home which always include restaurants and long car rides. So many celebrations including multiple family birthdays as well! These are the hardest months of the year for most of us. But Iβm not throwing in the towel just yet!. I will do ALL I can, As I can, When I can. Life is going to happen and I will definitely live it, but there are lots of days where progress can still be made and/or damages can be mitigated. I must stay steadfast and strong in my resolve. This is about my health journey, not just my weight journey. I will not give up based on what month the calendar page is on!

We were slammed with a winter storm so I didnβt have to get up or do an extra-early weigh-in. I was expected to travel a very long in-state day for DDβs medical appt but had to cancel that as we have been snowed in. Got some shoveling in today for sure with more to go. The rest is up to my son! I had pizza yesterday so Iβm not surprised at the uptick. Also it is Day 2 with no TMI. All excuses aside, I must stick to plan today and try to reach my water goal too. Itβs creeping back up and not conducive to that 5 pound loss Iβve been eyeing in the showroom window. T-Minus 0.8 lbs with 4.2 lbs to go. Time to get the gears out of reverse and move forward! Lots more packages and wrapping today. Merry Jolly Jingle Bells and all that other good stuff!
Day 56-12/21-190.6-(Trend weight 192.1) Whoosh after a little TMI finally and losing all the bloat from the past couple of days that included restaurant foods. The scale is still 0.6 higher than my lowest recent reading but I didnβt expect to come out of this past week unscathed. Now, to get back on the path of losing that 5-lbs-in-no-time-frame micro mini goal! T-Minus 3.0 lbs with 2 lbs to go. I was hoping to lean into the holidays on stable footing so this really helps. We are about to enter the toughest week of the year for most of us. Iβll do all that I can to keep up the momentum. Today is my DGSβ birthday party being held at a small venue. I expect the scale will be up again tomorrow but I will make every day that I possibly can really really count in order to mitigate the damages. Itβs going to be a day-to-day thing for me for sure! Iβd really like to go into January in fairly good shape figuratively speaking. Hey, was that a double pun?
