@Michelle The alien clock is a metal alien head we found in one of the shops downtown. DH then added the clockworks which we got from Hobby Lobby. He is very crafty!

Rebecca – lovely village. Love the jewel tree, are those special jewels?

They had bbq at the soup kitchen and couldn’t save it to Monday (not sure why) so I got some to take home and give to Jess when she comes Sun to get the animals. I’m getting to know Ganon’s signals (when he needs to go out) and the cats are more and more comfortable here. Cozmo (that’s how they spell it) is getting on the counter now, which I’m sure Jess doesn’t want so we spray her. Not sure how much of a deterrent that is

Deb – my grandmother used to make crusciki. She made them so thin they melted in your mouth. Vince still remembers them (he’d have them with beer...lol). Try as I might, I could never replicate her recipe. I might try making them again and using the pasta roller to see if I can get them thin enough.

    Yea Allie!!!!

Rita – you have so much on your mind! I’d be concerned about your dh too (well, I am) Oh wow about that clock. Going to keep it in mind. Maybe they have an alien thing at ceramics. Need to go back and see how you did the numbers. Found it! Did you have to paint the numbers on it?

Today is the ceramic christmas party. I’m just going to take pigs in a blanket. I was going to make sausage cheese balls, but Vince wanted this and seeing how many people are coming to the Christmas party, it was easier to buy a couple boxes at Sam’s and just heat them up. Just wrapped the present also one for Jess that I think she’ll want to use for Christmas Eve (it’s serving dishes, hers are all chipped)

Took Ganon for a short walk. After work went to Food Lion and got crab that was on sale BOGO. Because I bought distilled water the other day at Dollar General, I got a $10 off $40 order which FL price matched.

Have yogurt in the IP right now. It should be done by the time we come back from ceramics. Going to be too dark to take Ganon for a walk, so I’ll just take him out to relieve himself.

Oh, Vince just said that it isn’t secure to send texts from an Android to an iPhone. That’s not to say that you can’t send texts, just try not to put sensitive things in it (like if you’ll be away). The FBI just made this statement.

I think I've gone completely mad. I was so excited by the hot chocolate, that I've bought two 1970 vintage retro Apilco coffee cups and saucers from Etsy. They are the traditional French bistro ones. To remind me of the first time I had real hot chocolate in Paris at the Café Brébis.
    Oh well. :oB)>:)

Well the old rowan is still standing. DH doesn’t want it coming down in the next storm so it will be coming down this week.

So many trees down and blocked roads that we have cancelled our visit to DED this afternoon. We will Skype instead.

Heather: 🥰 all the art you do with the grands. Edie is quite an individual. The mugs are wonderful. We all deserve our little indulgences.

Rita: It’s so difficult to step back when those you love are self-destructive. We are here for you, dear girl.

I’m working on my Christmas cards today.

    Loving all the Christmas photos.

🤗🤗🤗 and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.

🙋‍♀️ céad míle fáilte to any newbies.

Today I am supposed to attend a Christmas concert, but I am passing. I am sore from last nights activities! I would snore, then Lee would tap me awake and I would turn, which triggered a vertigo swirl. Then I would relax and repeat the whole deal. I lost count how many times Lee tapped me. I definitely didn't get a good nights sleep. So its raining and I just want to make soup, watch sappy Christmas movies, and make chicken soup.😁💖I might take a nap.😂

That's one of the reasons why my husband and I sleep in separate beds. Before his accident, he was jiggling the bed any time I made a peep, and I was getting no sleep. Of course I was doing the same thing to him. There were days we'd be rather cranky with each other because of the lack of sleep, but back then we had more energy than we do now. After his accident, sleep became very important, so we did the separate bed thing and that works.

Another breezy day here but only up around 65 km/h (40 mph), so it wasn't too bad.

Today was our bee group meeting - Christmas edition. That's always good fun. :)

Then we visited a friend for a couple hours.

And by then I was DONE.

We came home and I slept for 3 solid hours.

We have been so busy since we got back from Canada, last week especially ... I think it finally all caught up with me. Even after 3 hours of sleep this afternoon, I'm still very tired.

Fortunately this week doesn't look quite as busy. There's lots of work to do at work, but it will stay at work, during working hours. At this point, there's nothing on during the evenings which is really nice!

@Michelle, the number on the clock came with the clock works. They were stick on, but painted numbers would be nice too, that is if you can get the spacing right. I never could but DH did it by ‘feel’! I could never do that.
@Dianna from Padre Island WELCOME We are a very talkative bunch. Comment on what strikes you and come back often! Be sure to bookmark this page so it will be easy to find again! (Top right corner, little flag)

My son’s phone microphone doesn’t work very well, can never hear him and he has bad credit. So I broke down and added him to my phone plan and got him a new phone that he will pay for monthly (I need to do this, some of you remember why). He has already sent me by Cash App the first month’s payment. He really needs a phone as he travels about an hour each morning to get to work. It will come here and I will set it up. The Christmas plan gave me no connection charge, a free iPad, and a free Apple Watch. He is ecstatic. I just hope he will pay the monthly charges. Verizon already sent me the changes to my next bill. I will take a look at that and let DS know. Big trust on my part for him. I know he understands and I hope he will keep his end of the bargain. I have to do tough love with him, so this is a big step for both of us.

Going to work on Christmas Cards - I need to get them mailed soon!

Just saw on the news the same thing Michelle commented on. Apple to Android texts are not secure. Apple to Apple is. If you use Messenger on an Apple, it is secure. Using What’s app and other apps are good too, but both users need the same app on their phone to use it. I use Messenger a lot.

Today is: a good day to watch Dr. Who, but I will watch A Christmas Carol today, the one with Patrick Stewart in it. We are watching a different Christmas Carol/Scrooge movie every Sunday until Christmas. It’s “Imagine Being a Time Traveler” day!

Anyone here still use lard for anything? Besides being Lard Day, I see lard a lot when I grocery shop here. I do not use it, but if I made pie dough, it is the best thing for that. Hmmm. I should try that again! I was never very good at pie crusts.

All of the flowers, crafts, outdoor lights, treat ideas etc. are a joy to see.

Allie ~ Miles and Delia are very lucky to have parents who love taking them places and doing fun things at home!

Went shopping for my two grands this morning after they finally let me know what they were interested in receiving. Boy, what a headache searching the internet for things that might or might not be in stock at this late date. Wish I had known what they wanted sooner. But, it got done. Next year it might just be money!

    Good late morning ladies!

First, I admire the everyone's Christmas decorations... Carol, Margaret and Rebecca to name a few. I'm sure I missed some of you. Thanks for sharing your Christmas cheer, ladies!

An elderly acquaintance is having his 90th birthday this Wednesday so I went through my "card stash" to find one suitable. Most of the cards I have are sympathy or get well cards. :# That's my stage of life I guess, lol. :p I did find one for him. But I need to stop at Walgreens and load up on nice birthday cards again. I used to find the best ones at KMart. Really miss that store and Sears as well. Times change. :(

Allie - those photos of Delia are great, another fabulous smiler! :p You are doing super on your weight loss, by the way. ;)

Barbara - glad no major water problems. Whew!

Project this afternoon is finishing Christmas cards.

Weekly Check-in reminder for ladies participating.
