3/22- 132.4 so last round I got into the 133’s for a couple of days, then the tick up. But it was there. My goal this round will simply be to see how many days I can keep some sort of 132. Would like to end the round with a 132.X Yesterday, no walk, but did some elliptical and an hour machines at the gym. I am starting to get more comfortable there. Daily was solidly under, but I was not hungry. I think the caffeinated coffee I had at noon (before the gym) might have been a factor.
3/23- 134.2 Man, what a tease. Yesterday, was pretty perfect. Did my walk. Calories were good. Only other variable is the gym, which was mid-afternoon in the 21st. I just checked in with “Dr. Google” and I found the claim that peak fluid retention is 24-36 hours after the workout. So, maybe I can point my finger that way. I certainly have muscle pain, so we know there are some things going on.
3/24- 132.4 Ok, so two 132.X sightings in one round. Maybe there is hope it will stick around. Yesterday, I did the morning walk (5 miles) then after dinner DH and I went for a lap together (1.6ish miles). Tracking was thorough and target good (slightly higher but good nutrients). Today, skipping the walk and will do a gym day.3/25-

Good morning at the gym yesterday, otherwise most of the rest of the day was parked in front of the boob tube watching NCAA basketball. TV is a trigger for me to eat a little snick-snack here and there. Kept it to a dull roar although there was some failure.I have a 50th High School class reunion this September. (I know, some of you weren’t born yet in 1975. Maybe for some of you, your parents weren’t born yet. HA!!!)I want to be at my goal weight before that.
3/23: 227.4
Second verse, same as the first (but without gym.)We did have a diversion. Friends celebrated their marriage with a little reception yesterday. A happy story. Kayak and fishing theme, hokey but fun. We each got our own little cup of “bait.” Gummy worms and frogs. I just sat there grazing on those worse-than-worthless snacks.
Oh, and we are looking at upgrading our vehicle to a 7 passenger what-cha-ma-call-it. It’s not a van, it’s not an SUV. There are times where it would be nice to get another 2 couples into the car for a dinner (or something) out, or, to pile the kids and grandkids in for an outing. Here is the problem. To get into that third row it’s a combination of mountain climbing, yoga and spelunking. If one of them is wearing a skirt everyone else needs to wear a blindfold. Quite the task for our older friends (and for DW and me.) Maybe we should just punt and buy a Prius.

This bump should have happened yesterday, but we all know about delayed penalties for misbehavior. Yesterday my fitbit/pixel watch says I burned 11 calories. 11!Seeking no system errors today!

Well am officially laid of April 10, but had to turn in all my computers and keys Friday and no longer going to the office. Will finally have time to actually participate in this challenge in between looking for a job. As you can imagine the past few months have been chaotic as my boss assured we would have funding and ultimately had to accept the horrible conclusion we cannot survive. Have spent Saturday and Sunday coming to terms with the conclusion and readying myself for Monday. I have not ate well at the office the past few months and with all the stress have not weighed myself, rationalizing I am in a tough time. well time is up! I need to get back in control of myself, no excuses anymore. My goals, are to weigh my food and record! No wine on weekdays, and no whining anyway !!!! I have time to work out so do it in the morning and hope I get a new job soon so I can then procrastinate working out again once more.

3/23 -122.6- So happy, a pickleball club is opening not very far from my home. They had a soft opening this weekend, so played some fun games today, Yeah! Will not be open again until next Saturday, Boo!!! But easily burned a ton of calories doing something that brings me happiness.
3/24 -121.8 Played wonderful games of pickleball yesterday so easily met and exceeded my fitness goals. Tracked my food, but need to do better, no snacks after dinner ate healthy. Up early getting ready to go to work on finding a job.

January: good until I got sick. (I rarely get sick ~ thanks grandkids! )
February: it seemed my body was trying to overcompensate for being sick....it was odd.
March R1: I did fairly well last round, Down 2.2 vs the 3.3 that I wanted but I will take as a win. Continuing my focus for the month, micromanaging! My March BHAG ~Big Hair Audacious Goal is to lose 10lbs. 10lbs in March translates to about 3.9 pounds for the next 2 rounds. March R1 ~ screech and halt. I stopped micromanaging and was just mentally blah. Back on it for the remainder of the month. Surely won't do 10 but I can stay below my ending February number!How Will I do this:
Micromanager ~ proactive and timely review of my actions.
Back to participating in Step Bet which will get my steps up. Aim to burn 2,900+ calories (per Apple watch which translates into closing my move goal)
TDEE experiment ~ I will elaborate on this after a couple of weeks.

3/22 A new day, a new start. Yesterday was a solid day. Ate less than maintenance but more that (-300 kcal) = 1350. Won my tennis match and had a relaxing day. I’ve been putting off purchasing a new laptop for several years (mine is 15+ years old!!!!). Bit the bullet and purchased a new MacBook Pro. So…. I’ll be fiddling with that for the next few days. (One addiction to the next!) Make sure to get in my 10k and lifting this morning. Headed out of town to see a friend on the end-side of ALS. Helps keep life in perspective. Stay present and live moment by moment!
3/23 I fell apart at my friends house… I ate a sandwich / cookies /pound cake and then last night DH and I ate Mexican… Margarita plus chips. Crazy. So I will start again today!
3/24 much better day, but ate rice at dinner … Therefore carbs up. Ate at maintenance (1400). Protein✅. Pleased to complete🏋️♀️ for the first time in over a month. Noticeably weaker…
Today will be a full day. 🙆♀️🚶♀️💓 already. Up early to beat the rain.💪🏻 Will complete a 24-hour fast today.… May do a 36. Taking it 12 hours at a time (Not to lose weight but to regenerate cells and give my system a break!) Planning a 72-hour by Easter.

03/23-194.4- (Trend Weight: 194.5) I’m okay with this weight considering my youngest male GS’s birthday party yesterday, age 6 now. I definitely was off plan and had no exercise either since it was a bit of travel. However, we (my nephew and I) worked on the furnace all evening after I exited the party a bit early. No luck. He’s on his way over for another day of trying. Until he gets here, I am experimenting with the furnace and a theory. We’ll see how it pans out. It certainly doesn’t hurt to try unless I blow the place up! Having owned two small motels and some rental properties back in the day, I do know a little something but I’m certainly not an HVAC specialist. We did order a new part but it won’t be here until Tuesday from Amazon. Cold northern Michigan temps are horrid. It was 13 degrees last night. My poor cat was not happy. I’m doing everything I can to make her comfortable but she doesn’t like to be under the covers. We had a pur type square heater but you can only feel it if you are standing right in front of it practically touching it. It does not have any sort of blower and it certainly does not warm a room. It’s little help in a 3300 sq foot house! Please pray.

Hopefully tomorrow will bring a more realistic number. However, I probably won’t like that one either, even though it should be more accurate. Bloated and shivering today. I woke up to another 2 inches of snow today. Heat still not fixed although we are coaxing a bit of heat out of it a little at a time manually. Part is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I hope he’s right about what’s wrong. This will be the 3rd new part going on.

Hi Friends! Sorry I've been absent. My business trip went well, though long and tiring. Then I come home to back-to-back-to-back events that kept me busy. I feel like I haven't had a chance to stop and rest!
This week will be all about getting back into my routines since travel and events really disrupted me. Luckily I've managed to maintain and didn't have huge spike in my weight after all this which is the most shocking of all.
3/22- 168.93/23- 169.13/24- 169.0 - Birthday party Thursday on my return home which resulted in not nearly enough sleep Thursday night. Friday was running errands and trying to get situated again before birthday parties Saturday and Sunday. Today I'm back at work and I'm tired, but pushing through. I got up and went to the gym for my usual workout since I knew I'd set myself up for failure by allowing myself to oversleep and feel awful from that. I just walked the dogs during one of my meetings since it's supposed to get quite warm today and I need to start finding a way to get them out in the mornings now so they don't overheat. I have lunch and dinner planned and pre-logged (both meal prepped) with plenty of room for snacks leftover. Lunch isn't super filling so I'll see about supplementing it. Dinner will be quite filling since I've made it before so having a solid afternoon snack will be perfect to fill up my remaining macros. 3/24 - 131.8 lbs. I am tired of losing same weight over and over. Had long work trip, celebrations at home, spring break and just gave up on balanced lifestyle in between these events. After a month of negligence, I am feeling worse and out of control. I feel heavy to sleep at night with heartburns and generally slow and unmotivated during the day. Time to get back on track and stick to the program.3/25 -

3/22 A new day, a new start. Yesterday was a solid day. Ate less than maintenance but more that (-300 kcal) = 1350. Won my tennis match and had a relaxing day. I’ve been putting off purchasing a new laptop for several years (mine is 15+ years old!!!!). Bit the bullet and purchased a new MacBook Pro. So…. I’ll be fiddling with that for the next few days. (One addiction to the next!) Make sure to get in my 10k and lifting this morning. Headed out of town to see a friend on the end-side of ALS. Helps keep life in perspective. Stay present and live moment by moment!
3/23 I fell apart at my friends house… I ate a sandwich / cookies /pound cake and then last night DH and I ate Mexican… Margarita plus chips. Crazy. So I will start again today!
3/24 much better day, but ate rice at dinner … Therefore carbs up. Ate at maintenance (1400). Protein✅. Pleased to complete🏋️♀️ for the first time in over a month. Noticeably weaker…
Today will be a full day. 🙆♀️🚶♀️💓 already. Up early to beat the rain.💪🏻 Will complete a 24-hour fast today.… May do a 36. Taking it 12 hours at a time (Not to lose weight but to regenerate cells and give my system a break!) Planning a 72-hour by Easter.

03/24 DNW03/25 178.0 I bump up so easy and come down so slow. I was not perfect yesterday. It was hard one, I was exceptionally hungry. I did allow myself some extra snacks so I ate a smaller dinner. Definitely ate too many calories.
I felt like an awkward potato at belly dancing class. I am not a natural dancer. I’ll get my feet in the right place and realize I have scarecrow arms sticking out. Or I try to add in the hip movement and I forget how my knees work.
Ever see someone try to force graceful fingers? It looks like milking an invisible cow. I know this because the entire room is lined with mirrors.
I’m hoping some extra effort this week and no big weekend plans will help me start moving in the right direction. Both with my eating and with belly dancing.

Oh, how I can relate!! My sad attempts at that- and Zumba; only the instructors look graceful, and maybe that one lithe dancer type in the front row! Kudos to you for putting yourself out there- have fun with it!!

Good morning at the gym yesterday, otherwise most of the rest of the day was parked in front of the boob tube watching NCAA basketball. TV is a trigger for me to eat a little snick-snack here and there. Kept it to a dull roar although there was some failure.I have a 50th High School class reunion this September. (I know, some of you weren’t born yet in 1975. Maybe for some of you, your parents weren’t born yet. HA!!!)I want to be at my goal weight before that.

Second verse, same as the first (but without gym.)We did have a diversion. Friends celebrated their marriage with a little reception yesterday. A happy story. Kayak and fishing theme, hokey but fun. We each got our own little cup of “bait.” Gummy worms and frogs. I just sat there grazing on those worse-than-worthless snacks.
Oh, and we are looking at upgrading our vehicle to a 7 passenger what-cha-ma-call-it. It’s not a van, it’s not an SUV. There are times where it would be nice to get another 2 couples into the car for a dinner (or something) out, or, to pile the kids and grandkids in for an outing. Here is the problem. To get into that third row it’s a combination of mountain climbing, yoga and spelunking. If one of them is wearing a skirt everyone else needs to wear a blindfold. Quite the task for our older friends (and for DW and me.) Maybe we should just punt and buy a Prius.

This bump should have happened yesterday, but we all know about delayed penalties for misbehavior. Yesterday my fitbit/pixel watch says I burned 11 calories. 11!Seeking no system errors today!

Ate a hair (or an entire mullet) too much yesterday, but rocked the exercise.And, we bought the what-cha-ma-call-it. Used Subaru Ascent. We will likely be passing the Outback down to the kiddos for the benefit and safety of the grand kiddos. (our real motivation for a new car)
I saw a pickup truck in the showroom yesterday with a sticker price of $114,000! Limited edition. They had just sold it for $125,000. There was a bidding war evidently.
