    @dawnbgethealthy I've checked your dates for challenge 24 and they look good to me. I like the way you put the last two extra days into week 14. In my previous Excel file I had just 2 days for week 15 and it was really weird to have an average weight for just 2 days. I like 9 days better.

    @deepwoodslady @dawnbgethealthy Regarding the 'cheat days' or intentional plateaus being 'good' for overall weight loss progress, that is definitely a real thing. There are all kinds of articles and videos on this topic. It is similar to calorie cycling. Some people give themselves a weekly calorie target and then have higher and lower days.

    @Jon4189 I was surprised when I saw the 192.5 earlier in the week because I knew you had increased your IN calorie goal. You know the drill…. daily fluctuations are normal.

    @plantpowered I could eat salad three times a day, I just love crisp vegetables. I'm just finishing the last few workouts of BOD 9 Week Control Freak, they have a nightly Controlled Stretch. I'm not so good at doing them before bed, but I have been doing them after the workout and it has definitely helped with DOMS and sleep.

    Day 85—08/07— 163.8 - After a tough week, I am back on track! The anxiety has passed for now. I had the surgery on my hand 2 days ago and the pain is practically non existent...not like last time. Food is back to normal. I did discover something the other day. I treated myself to an Italian hoagie from Jersey Mike's after the surgery and it did not spike my blood sugar! Now if I ate a cup of potatoes? Different story. Not that I plan on eating a lot of hoagies. Still its nice to know.

    Day 86—08/08— 164.6 - Got out and went miniature golfing ⛳️ today. Haven't done that in ages. My SO took me. He claimed he was going to best me, but we tied. I think he was surprised.

    Had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich for lunch. Dinner will probably be a nice salad with chicken.

    Day 87—08/09— 164.6 - I had a brunch sandwich....ham and cheese on a English muffin with a little chicken soup. Snack was most of a peach....it was starting to develop mold, so I cut that part out. Dinner will probably be spaghetti with meatballs that I got as a meal at Wegman's. Cleaned the bathroom. Of all the rooms I won't neglect its the bathroom and the kitchen. Kitchen is tomorrow.

    In all the upset of the past several weeks, I forgot my little brother's birthday is tomorrow. Ran out and got him a card, put it in the mail this morning but he obviously won't get it tomorrow. I feel terrible, but nothing I can do.

    Day 88—08/10— 165.4 - Not worried about the gain. I weighed pre "data dump". Had another sandwich and peach. Dinner will probably be leftover chili and/or a salad. Feeling a little off, though....tummy is not happy. Not sure why.

    Texted little bro. He wants to donate to my vet bill. I really appreciate that. I just bought special dog food for him to help prevent a recurrence of the stones....more money. But you do what you gotta do.

    Day 89—08/11— 164.4 - Going to have the rest of my pasta salad for lunch... skipped breakfast. Dinner is up in the air for now....might just be soup and sandwich.

    Someone online discovered a yarn vending machine at our local mall. That is TOOOO dangerous for me. 😂

    Day 90—08/12— 164 - Coming down gradually again. Had bean soup and a ham and cheese on English muffin for lunch. Probably something light for dinner....maybe eggs.

    Took the dog over to my ex's backyard yesterday for some much needed exercise/play for both of us. I always know when he is overjoyed....he has "helicopter tail"!

    As for trying to make up for calories from a few low calorie days….I wouldn't. I mean, some people fast one day per week just to clean out their system. I think just be glad that you had a couple of low calorie days. Other things can mess up your metabolism much more. Hurray for not eating in bed last night too. I know that you like it though : - ) Like @age_is_just_a_number said, it is the calories over the week that count.

    Thoughts at the start of this round:

    My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. This breaks down to 0.7 lbs per challenge week. I don’t think that is too much to ask of my mind, my body and my spirit! I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

    Day 89—08/11—181.6 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 185.6) My calories were a bit too low yesterday because my dinner was so late that I didn’t find I needed snacks in bed. No snacks = whoosh. However, that is not usually what I’m able to do. Giving up the snacks in bed would be as bad as giving up Netflix and THAT is not going to happen anytime soon! I don’t want my metabolism to slow so I’ll be needing some extra calories soon. Wednesday is son’s hair appointment and I usually take him to lunch or dinner afterward. I’ll probably get more calories in on that day. The following day is my two DGS’ hair appointments in preparation for school starting. Another day out at the restaurant. I’ll be careful again on one of those days and allow some extra calories on the other. I feel I need a bump up to keep the metabolism up. Sometimes I think the temporary set-back actually does me more good than harm if it keeps my metabolism roaring and my cravings fleetingly satisfied. Maybe the squiggle lines on the graphs have a real purpose and are actually a good thing. I’m watching the patterns to find out.

    ⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️Day 90—08/12—182.6 ❌ (Trend Weight: 185.3) I became very ill last night. It was so bad that I even questioned if it was my heart. A shaky blood sugar drop for sure (I’m T2D) but so much more than that. Lightheaded, dizzy. Weak, falling to the right. But instinct told me that it was something that food could fix. I had dropped several pounds in just a couple of days so I think it was too much, too fast. I had prelogged lots of healthy food with the right blend of proteins, fiber and healthy fats but that didn’t help. I grabbed my son and grandson’s pop tarts with milk and it began to fade but not enough. Instinct told me I need the sugars, the carbs and mainly the volume of food in my stomach. 30 minutes later, 2 more pop tarts. It finally resolved. It was like medicine. I cancelled all the rest of my healthy snacks for the night to mitigate damage and took it easy. I tried to exercise on my bike but only got in 16 minutes before I started feeling bad so I stopped. Today I feel a bit weird, off. I will retry to eat strictly healthy and see what happens. This episode was definitely different. I am going to closer monitor my blood sugar levels all day today to see if my doses of Metformin are perhaps becoming too strong since my weight loss this year. This weight correction is definitely one I think I need in the moment. Just a day or two buffer should help.
