Back for another month. 53 yrs 5β4. Striving towards overall better health.
August goals: protein 100+ grams daily, water 80oz daily, activity 2-3 times weekly. Alcohol limit <2 when we go out. Good days = π

Goal: 134.2- August 3: 139.2

10g short on protein, water β and an hour of yoga. Still working to incorporate breakfasts! Sitting down now with some plain greek yogurt, a little honey and fresh blueberries. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

This month I hope to continue with my small goals of consistency and self-care.
August 1: 224.2 Yesterday was logged and Iβm ready to go today!
August 2: 223.6 logged and done! Yesterday I moved sales offices and today is the first weekend of our VIP sales event. So ready for this⦠as ready as you can be in new construction homes! Prelogged for the day and MUST STAY HYDRATED!
August 3: 223.2. Logged and done. Feeling good. Tired after yesterday, but ready for more appointments. Glad Iβm taking care of myself first and making myself a priority.
August 4: 224.2β¦ Logging is done and dusted! Our VIP weekend was a success. Need to catch up on paperwork this morning but not before I check in with you all! Reading everyoneβs posts first, getting my ducks in a row, then back to work.
August 5: 225.4β¦ logged and doneβ¦ overate dinner and tried to work it off by cutting the grassβ¦ obviously didnβt work. As @deepwoodslady has said before.. you canβt out walk a bad diet.

@jm216 youβve had a stressful week and it can definitely impact you. But imagine if you hadnβt cut the grass! Any movement is better than no movement. You got this!!
@deepwoodslady you should absolutely pat yourself on the back!! Having the desire/willpower to eat healthy while those around you arenβt can be one of the most difficult things, but you did itβ¦and look how great you felt! Remember itβs not a diet, but a lifestyle! You have been making slow but steady progress and thatβs what itβs all about. Especially these last 2 months! You said your August goal was 184.8, and you are already at 186.6. Just a couple months ago you were over 190 and excited to enter 180βsβ¦.. be proud of your accomplishments and keep up the amazing work!!

08/04-186.6 β (Trend Weight: 187.7) I am patting myself on the back a bit for how well I did yesterday, even with everyone here. While they ate pizza, cookies and other snacks washed down with sodas, I ate avocado toast and sipped on chicken broth. It was a strong day and came pretty easy to me. Not all days are that easy unfortunately. I was hoping scale would be down a bit more as I also managed to get some exercise bike in after everyone left last night. But Iβm happy for any progress. I still havenβt got all the weight off from my one lousy day of travel. My how slow it drops!
βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ 08/05-185.8 β (Trend Weight: 187.5) I did a bit of an experiment yesterday. I ate my largest meal for lunch and a smaller dinner since I usually have snacks later anyway. It seemed like a good idea at the time but it backfired since I stay up pretty late at night in my retirement. I wonβt make that mistake again. I ended up eating an extra small meal which was better than bingeing on snack after snack (my usual choice). Two slices of peanut butter toast later (low calorie/carb bread) and a large glass of water (oh how I wanted the milk!) and I was okay. It managed to stay within macros by skipping some snacks. Still a drop on the scale today as I spent lots of time yesterday on yard work and gardening but I did skip my intentional exercise. Iβm still chasing that low of 185.0 I had recently before some weird fluctuations and my day trip which together yielded me a 3.8 lb gain. I donβt know how long this will take, but I will just keep on chasing it until it runs out of breath!

Logged. Marcos could have been better falling short on protein again. I had breakfast, but missed lunch due to meetings that ran long and I met a friend for dinner while watching an outdoor movie, so food choices were limited.

βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ08/07-183.8 β (Trend Weight: 186.8) I had an excellent and compliant lunch yesterday but dinner was off the charts at a local ice cream place. The Philly cheesesteak was okay and fit into my macros but the ice cream was ridiculous. I didnβt know it would be that large! (ice cream tacos). Had to share with son and still too much. MUCH too much. I was hundreds over on calories, double the allowed carbs. Not enough protein, fats or fiber. Not a good choice but the scale is down today. Either it will show up later or the exercise helped even though the MFP nightly chart still shows me over after the exercise bike session. Iβm hoping Lady Luck is on my side for this one. Down 0.2 today so Iβll take it with gratitude!
