Hello friends! 🌸🌻 Happy August.
This month I hope to continue with my small goals of consistency and self-care.
August 1: 224.2 Yesterday was logged and I’m ready to go today!
August 2: 223.6 logged and done! Yesterday I moved sales offices and today is the first weekend of our VIP sales event. So ready for this… as ready as you can be in new construction homes! Prelogged for the day and MUST STAY HYDRATED!
August 3: 223.2. Logged and done. Feeling good. Tired after yesterday, but ready for more appointments. Glad I’m taking care of myself first and making myself a priority.
August 4: 224.2… Logging is done and dusted! Our VIP weekend was a success. Need to catch up on paperwork this morning but not before I check in with you all! Reading everyone’s posts first, getting my ducks in a row, then back to work.
August 5: 225.4… logged and done… overate dinner and tried to work it off by cutting the grass… obviously didn’t work. As @deepwoodslady has said before.. you can’t out walk a bad diet.
August 6: 224.2 logged and done… feeling good. Spend a nice evening with my hubby and felt more relaxed. Loving the logging everything in the morning plan then making adjustments for dinner. Plus I’m using the Finch app for wellness… it’s free and helpful for squirrel minds like mine.
August 7: 224.8 logged and done. Time to go weed whip after dragging my feet all day. Time to push through.August 8: 224.4 logged and done. Must clean the pool today. Getting together with a good friend on Saturday after work and hanging out in the backyard swimming and having a margarita.
August 9: 224.8 didn’t log but had a great time. It was so nice to catch up!
August 10: 225 logged late but got it done! Busy day at work
August 11: 225.5 will pre-log for the day… to set me up for structure and success. I am ready for a fun and busy Monday… LET’S GO!
August 12: 223.5 prelogged and ready to go! I love working with a partner at work, but I get more done when I’m alone. 😁 I guess I have the best of both worlds!
August 13: 222.2 will pre-log for continued success. 🥰
August 14: 222.4 prelogged and ready for today! My hubby and I are going to a concert tonight. 🎶
August 15: DNW catching up pre-logging and post-logging. Linkin Park was great! It was great to see them sing their old and new songs. We stayed at the Motorcity hotel and casino and took the shuttle from there to Little Caesar’s Arena. I have to remind myself that I’m 55 and not 25. Had a great time with my hubby.
August 16: 226… prelogging and ready to get thing together.
August 17: 224.6 there we go… getting back on track. A solo Sunday at work.. will be busy… let’s go!

SECOND HALF OF THE MONTH:
008/16-184.8 ❌ (Trend Weight: 184.6) This is crazy that I’ve gained 3 pounds in two days. I did have the DQ 3 days ago and there has been no TMI for 2 days now. I’m sure these are both contributing but it’s always pretty shocking to see such a big jump. Especially when my calories last night were 1012 and my carbs were 61. Today I am going to the county fair that is about 75 miles each way from me. Not much to do in this small town or my county so it is a big deal to our community. I do try to get my autistic son out of the house here and there and today is the last day of the fair. We will probably eat from a food truck and play some games and just be part of the overall social event and all the fair offers. Scale-wise, it’s not the best time or the best day to be going but, if not today, then we miss out until next year. I’ll try to be sensible.

Majestic August. Finished July a pound heavier but did step on the scale everyday. Some positive takeaways with the highlight a great group of members trying to be supportive to others as we attain a healthier version of ourselves. Bravo to all.

While I’m not at the lowest number I’ve seen this round, I do feel that I am at an accurate number for where I am truly at. Tomorrow I travel for dental appointments and shopping. I badly needed to shop last week but managed to stretch the time out with some local pick-ups so that it would not mean an extra travel day. Having the county fair over the weekend was enough! I am below my original 4 lb goal for the month still so I am pleased, generally and overall, with how things are going so far. I just need to stay the course and keep the corrections going when those bigger numbers poke their way back in.

⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️08/19-184.4 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 184.4) Another overnight jump up in weight of 1.6 lbs that makes absolutely no sense. Yesterday calories were 1200 and carbs were 55. Both lower than goal. This is an early weigh-in however because of this morning’s travel to dental appointments. Disappointing!

August 6: 224.2 logged and done… feeling good. Spend a nice evening with my hubby and felt more relaxed. Loving the logging everything in the morning plan then making adjustments for dinner. Plus I’m using the Finch app for wellness… it’s free and helpful for squirrel minds like mine.
August 7: 224.8 logged and done. Time to go weed whip after dragging my feet all day. Time to push through.August 8: 224.4 logged and done. Must clean the pool today. Getting together with a good friend on Saturday after work and hanging out in the backyard swimming and having a margarita.
August 9: 224.8 didn’t log but had a great time. It was so nice to catch up!
August 10: 225 logged late but got it done! Busy day at work
August 11: 225.5 will pre-log for the day… to set me up for structure and success. I am ready for a fun and busy Monday… LET’S GO!

We stayed at the Motorcity hotel and casino and took the shuttle from there to Little Caesar’s Arena. I have to remind myself that I’m 55 and not 25. Had a great time with my hubby.

This month I hope to continue with my small goals of consistency and self-care.
August 1: 224.2 Yesterday was logged and I’m ready to go today!
August 2: 223.6 logged and done! Yesterday I moved sales offices and today is the first weekend of our VIP sales event. So ready for this… as ready as you can be in new construction homes! Prelogged for the day and MUST STAY HYDRATED!
August 3: 223.2. Logged and done. Feeling good. Tired after yesterday, but ready for more appointments. Glad I’m taking care of myself first and making myself a priority.
August 4: 224.2… Logging is done and dusted! Our VIP weekend was a success. Need to catch up on paperwork this morning but not before I check in with you all! Reading everyone’s posts first, getting my ducks in a row, then back to work.
August 5: 225.4… logged and done… overate dinner and tried to work it off by cutting the grass… obviously didn’t work. As @deepwoodslady has said before.. you can’t out walk a bad diet.

However, this is an early weigh-in because of this morning’s travel to dental appointments. Disappointing nonetheless!
⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️08/20-186.0 ❌ (Trend Weight – 184.5) Dentist yesterday-ugh. Apparently one of my crowns is not “sitting right” and the cement has washed away creating an issue. They just put it on in 2023! My fault or theirs? I dunno. I should have asked more questions. $1700.00 for the new crown. Thank goodness insurance will pay half. So back I’ll go later this month. I “blew” the tire during lunch out, so when I got home I ended up “letting the air out of the other three. I ended up bingeing on a little of this and a little of that until it wasn’t so “little” anymore. My son wanted to bring home a pizza for dinner later and I was a good girl and turned it down just bringing home a small personal pizza for him. I was very proud of myself for a minute there, then… ugh, the binge later. Why? The dental results? Denial of the pizza? Self sabotage because another of my challenges is ending soon? Honestly, it felt like the all or nothing mentality since I’d already eaten out of plan while away from home. My weight has fluctuated by 4.8 lbs this week. Up and down but mostly up with today being the highest. It’s okay. This too shall pass. I got this! (staying positive here!). Never give up, my friends. This is why they call it a journey. And what a wild ride it can be!
