    Hello friends! 🌸🌻 Happy August.

    This month I hope to continue with my small goals of consistency and self-care.

    August 1: 224.2 Yesterday was logged and I’m ready to go today!

    August 2: 223.6 logged and done! Yesterday I moved sales offices and today is the first weekend of our VIP sales event. So ready for this… as ready as you can be in new construction homes! Prelogged for the day and MUST STAY HYDRATED!

    August 3: 223.2. Logged and done. Feeling good. Tired after yesterday, but ready for more appointments. Glad I’m taking care of myself first and making myself a priority.

    August 4: 224.2… Logging is done and dusted! Our VIP weekend was a success. Need to catch up on paperwork this morning but not before I check in with you all! Reading everyone’s posts first, getting my ducks in a row, then back to work.

    August 5: 225.4… logged and done… overate dinner and tried to work it off by cutting the grass… obviously didn’t work. AsΒ @deepwoodsladyΒ has said before.. you can’t out walk a bad diet.

    August 6: 224.2 logged and done… feeling good. Spend a nice evening with my hubby and felt more relaxed. Loving the logging everything in the morning plan then making adjustments for dinner. Plus I’m using the Finch app for wellness… it’s free and helpful for squirrel minds like mine.Β 

    August 7: 224.8 logged and done. Time to go weed whip after dragging my feet all day. Time to push through.

    August 8: 224.4 logged and done. Must clean the pool today. Getting together with a good friend on Saturday after work and hanging out in the backyard swimming and having a margarita.

    Majestic August. Finished July a pound heavier but did step on the scale everyday. Some positive takeaways with the highlight a great group of members trying to be supportive to others as we attain a healthier version of ourselves. Bravo to all.

    08/07-183.8 βœ… (Trend Weight: 186.8) I had an excellent and compliant lunch yesterday but dinner was off the charts at a local ice cream place. The Philly cheesesteak was okay and fit into my macros but the ice cream was ridiculous. I didn’t know it would be that large! (ice cream tacos). Had to share with son and still too much. MUCH too much. I was hundreds over on calories, double the allowed carbs. Not enough protein, fats or fiber. Not a good choice but the scale is down today. Either it will show up later or the exercise helped even though the MFP nightly chart still shows me over after the exercise bike session. I’m hoping Lady Luck is on my side for this one. Down 0.2 today so I’ll take it with gratitude!

    βš“οΈβš“οΈβš“οΈβš“οΈβš“οΈ08/08-185.6 ❌ (Trend Weight: 186.7) Over on calories by 373. Does that equal 1.8 lb gain? Hmmm. Well, carbs were over too but still. Correction? Fluid build-up? Ice cream from 2 days ago showing up? Weight was not a fluke because I tried scale 3 times. Humph! Trend weight still going down so I’ll celebrate that small win today and I’ll just have to get over it.

Round and round and round it goes, where it stops, nobody knows. There is a festival going on nearby today. DD, DGS and I will be going in a little while to give little Owen something to celebrate his healing from the tonsil/adenoid surgery and also have some end-of-summer, back-to-school –soon fun. There will be fair food which is all part of the experience. I will try not to go hog wild. Maybe just be a little bit of a piglet since these types of foods are normally so unavailable to this little community. I don’t want to seriously ruin my progress of late. I will eat some lunch before I leave and that should help.

It wasn’t typical carnival type fare so I was able to resist it all and just stuck to bottled water in the 94” heat. I did buy a loaf of fresh baked bread for home and ate a slab of it last night slathered in butter. But I found it very dry or stale and will have no problem resisting it today. My son & grandson can have it or it can go in the trash. If I’m going to cheat, it has got to be worth it. I gave up part of my pre-planned dinner for that slab of bread and it definitely was not worth it. Scale still down today because I stayed within calorie limits but carbs were over.
