dave, these words hit me hard....there is no truer statement for me in my journey than this right now....just keep moving...thanks you for this...RUNTHISTOWN00 - Feels so good to finally get it, doesn't it?? I just recently "got it" myself too! It really is as simple as the more you do it, the easier it gets to keep doing it! It's the whole law of inertia. "An object at rest tends to remain at rest and an object in motion tends to remain in motion..." When it finally became easy for me was when I was doing something EVERY SINGLE DAY. Not the same exact activity every day, mind you, or I would have gotten burnt out, but mixing up the running, walking, biking, elliptical....sometimes walking along with something else....that was the key.

Not looking like I'm going to hit my goal this month.. I started Chalean Extreme 90 day program, and it's a little harder to get a ton of extra miles in as I do most my workouts in the morning so I have the nights for my family.. I'll keep trucking along though and see where I end up at the end of the month. I will set my goal for December a little lower! Sorry everyone!!

Did 1.6 miles. A mile or so of that was walking around the unit at work last night since my patient was on cruise control. It's raining pretty steadily here so I didn't talk myself out of walking but just did the rest of it around the neighborhood. I think the fact that I feel a little guilty is a good thing. :laugh: And my Fitbit Flex count is going to be pathetic.
For those of you who did the challenges last winter, did you lower your goals for the colder months? I've found I really don't like the treadmill and while my gym has an indoor track, it's really boring and I have to force myself to do a mile. And for *me* to say that is funny to me because I was a human sloth. :yawn:

I'm done. Glad I made goal before today. Woke up with a cheese grater in my throat and swollen lymph nodes in my neck and aching joints all over. Here's to Zycam and Dayquil.0

I did a quick 1.10 miles today! I'm on vacation but I'm still workin it!
Total is 15.5 miles now
Goal is 200 -
Added 17.3 miles on stationary bike (boy, was my @ss numb! I'm not used to riding that long! :laugh:) followed by 2.2 mile treadmill walk!
20 miles past goal now! :drinker:

@ Bunbu - You can do it! I'll be watching you and cheering you on. OK, well maybe not watching. That sounds kind of stocker like. Besides, then I would need to play I'll be watching you from the Police (or was he just Sting by that time?) and that's kind of creepy.

@ Lisa, Don't forget to use the roller on the outside of the leg as well. The IT band can get tight and cause knee problems as well. Especially if you are biking, you need to run that thing from you knee up over your hip to loosen the IT band. I think it's Lovingthebike.com has some videos of some good stretching. Links to the page are on www.cycling360media.com under a podcast "Stretching and the Foam Roller.
@ Waltersro2012 - 12 more miles!!! Four more days, 12 more miles. That's 3 miles a day or 0.125 miles an hour if you just don't sleep for the next 4 days.

@ Whereismycoffee - Keep piling on those bonus miles. They are always better than the goal miles and I don't know why.
