Hello ALL!! Where is everyone??? I hope all of you are having a great day and making healthy food choices! You all still working on the bootcamp? You should be feeling it by now!
Marilyn, one thing...if you go over your limits on your food intake, don't worry about it. Just start all over the next day with a new attitude to make better choices!
Welcome to all of the newbies, and if I haven't added you as a friend, please add me. My days are a little hectic right now, but it don't mean I don't LOVE you!
Well I have my daughter in a good place, and I can have some peace with that now. Prayers for her success would be greatly appreciated. :flowerforyou:
I now have the rest of the day to myself, and since I worked all night, I am going to relax in the pool, and maybe even get some laps in! THAT COUNTS AS EXERCISE!!
I'll be checking back in later, I hope I see some of you in here! Let us all know how you are doing!0 -

Hello all,
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was pretty relaxed.......I did go to the movies to see Inception and was not tempted once by the buttery smells of popcorn. Instead before going to the theater hubby and I stopped at the store and picked up some healthy snacks to enjoy. He's doing "my fitness pal" with me so it makes it sooooooo easy when we do it together.
I have a huge exam this Wednesday so I've been studying and will be studying my *kitten* off for the next 48 hours.....fun......NOT!
Oh and I've decided to make Friday's the official weigh in day. This will allow me to not obsess over each ounce on the scale that moves up or down every morning.
Keep up all the hard work everyone.....WE CAN DO IT!0 -
Hi everyone.
It was a good weekend for me, lots of exercise and good healthy eating...all ready to face the challenges of a new week....
Well that was until someone told me this morning that there were only 124 days left until christmas....I could have slapped him...lol
But honestly that did throw me into a panic a little....my sister is getting married on boxing day and I really want to have lost a lot more weight by then.....so I have just done my hours workout and am going to have a very healthy dinner ....I am focussed:0
Hope everyone else had a good weekend

Afternoon Everyone!!
Breakfast Was Grapes, Cheese, And Crackers Plus A Coke Zero [Bad I Know But It's My Morning Caffeine Kick]
For Snack Time I Had Some Yoplait Light And For Lunch I Ate A Salad With Fat Free Italian Dressing. Currently I'm Drinking On My First 32 Oz Bottle Of Water. I Hope To Get At Least 3 In Today. I Try To Shoot For A Gallon Of Water A Day But Since School Started I've Been Struggling Just To Get The 64.
Gym Routine Was 30 Minutes Of HIIT On The Elliptical Followed By 2 Sets of 12 of Leg Extensions, Leg Curls, Lat Pulldowns, Bicep Curls, Triceps Extensions, Push Ups, Crunches [12], And Reverse Crunches [12]. All Ended With A Nice Stretching Session.0 -
I know it's not the healthiest way to lose weight, but I currently have some sort of stomach bug (I'll spare you the gory details), needless to say, at least for the moment, I have more coming OUT of my body than going in!
I hope this doesn't cause my metabolism to get sluggish & not going to exercise until I don't feel like I'm dying.0 -
It was a long weekend for me - hubby was out of town so I was on my own with my 3 youngest and no car. Good news was we had to walk if we wanted to go somehwere so I got in plenty of exercise. Then my power went out yesterday afternoon courtesy of some serious wind storms so it made last night and this morning interesting. School starts up again today - I'm hoping I can maintain my workouts with work and school - wish me luck!
Hope everyone is having a great week. Can't beleive August is almost over, yikes where did summer go. I'm hoping to be under 200 by the end of the year, but time keeps slipping away.0 -
Hope you feel better soon Jenna!0

Happy Monday to you all I hope everyone's staying encouraged and uplifted.0

Wow, sounds like everyone did great for the weekend! I am mad at myself though, because after exercising so hard yesterday, my son came over last night and ordered pizza!! Of course I had 2 pieces, and I'm mad at myself! :frown:
Anyway, today is a new day, and I'm just gonna put it behind me and start over!
Vjackson, awesome menu there! Your water is great also, and right on with the exercise! I can't wait to see your scale numbers this week!
Jenna, Sorry you're sick. I hope you get better soon! :flowerforyou:
Cgerman, Great that you got in some walking! Not good though about your power going out! :frown: I hope it comes back on soon.
Welcome all of you new guys!

Printed off the challenges and posted them at my work desk. . . helps keep me focused!!
Thank you for coming up with them Chill!!0 -
I like the idea of printing the challenges for the week. Chillrose would it be possible for you to set a day you would post the challenges for the week so we could go and get them and print them? I know it takes a lot of work and we all appreciate it. I just found the video challenges and have a few days to catch up on.
Note: A tip for those of us who crave sweets...I find freezing grapes for those times I need to eat something sweet works out nicely. They taste life frozen fruit pops, but much healthier for us. Takes a while to eat them too as they are so cold. Just remember to count out your servings.0 -

Oooh thanks for reminding me about frozen grapes. My spa always has them in the summer. SOO yummy. Fruit has become almost orgasmic to me now that I don't get any excess sweets. I will have to go freeze my grapes at home now.0 -
just wanted to say good luck. I have lost about 25 lbs. I dont know if it will help you, but I gain weight back so easy and fast, that I find weighing everyday really helps. Tells me I have to be very serious about what I eat or if I can afford to fudge a little.0

I would love to join. Have been off site for about three days. Had a stomach bug and was super sick. Was sent home from work. On Zofran now which is working wonders. I love it. I was looking at your challenges, and I am ready to go. Loved your post. You are a true inspiration.......0

Just joined, so my first WI will be this Friday, but I'm doing well food-wise. Need to bump up the exercise though. Going through an extremely emotional time right now, but will stick with this and take care of me first this time around.0

Hey Everyone,
I do hope all of you are doing good. Tip, if you mess up instead of beating yourself up just try to understand why you did it and then address the issue so that you can get a handle on it. This kind of thing does happen you are all human and most like myself are emotional eaters. When you feel the urges to eat stop first. Then ask yourself if you are eating because you are hungry and it is time or is it false hunger due to not drinking enough water and getting the proper fiber and proteins. These will help you with cravings as well as keep you feeling full longer. Try to realize the triggers if you have to write them down; then watch for patterns of when this happens so that you can deal with these times. I did find that doing an exercise or taking a shower or even brushing my teeth helped detour me from eating when I should not. Mainly, addressing my issues helped the most and working through them. See, this journey is not just about eating healthy and exercise but is is changing the bad habits into good postive habits.
God Bless, Brenda :flowerforyou:0 -
okidoki...count me in.

Just checking in. Walked to and from work today (1.5 miles each way). Tried to keep focus on maintaining decent speed. Too often I let my thoughts wander and end up meandering instead of walking briskly. Tomorrow, plan is to go to gym and do a little strength training in addition to the walking. Haven't started the 7 day bootcamp yet, but am saving the links and promise I will do them. Realistically not until next week though.0
