Please provide evidence that oil is health compromising.
Asking somebody for evidence that what they are saying is true is not trolling. He's also not the only one who asked.
In this particular post, you've made unsupported claims, personally attacked me, and dismissed my request to support your position.

Just a FYI there are no bad foods. Individual foods need to be judged by their place in a complete diet.
My conclusion.. after many.. "discussion" on there. is that are foods that are bad for one individual but not another. And no one should be telling another person that their observation of how food affects them is wrongs. if I say I eat X and Y happens therefore I cannot eat X because of Y.. and someone has a study or an opinion that is different or is not affected that way, I am automatically wrong, unless I have a better study to prove my point or a better formed well written out opinion. While i do think there are certain food everyone should avoid (would neverrrr post that list here. lol), I am more inclined to go with food being individual and affecting us all in such a way.. Even those of us without a food illness, allergy or other food-impacted disease. We really know so little about food and how it affects us, that even studies are just guides. I've read a ton of "studies" that claim to know the truth.. all contradicting each other. lol Just go through these forums for examples of them. Hey look at this study, X is bad for you.. no no no X is good for you, see here is study showing otherwise.. Confusing, counter productive and often without real merit.
What foods should everyone avoid? Not talking about specific individuals with specific issues - the remaining population?
Like I said.. not posting it in here, learned my lesson long ago.. but this is a typical response to a comment. If people just accept that food affects individuals differently and none of us have a concrete answer, there will be MFP peace.. :drinker:0 -
Looking at this dudes posts gave me a good laugh if nothing else. :bigsmile:0

I suggest you do some more research...and look up the meaning of that word. [Hint: you will not find the defninition as "someone who disagrees with someone" or "someone who asks someone to support a claim they have made"]0 -

How about you link these posts so people can determine if your claims have merit or if this is a figment of a delusional mind's imagination.0 -
I'd just like to thank every last person in this thread-- I was getting annoyed at my PS3 for freezing mid-game, but after reading this I'm actually rolling on the floor laughing. Mood +5000, thanks everyone!0

About people saying "different things work for different people":
No HUMAN BODY has a need for refined, concentrated foods.
No HUMAN BODY has a need for something that was created for a baby cow.0 -
You do realize that oil and fat are the same...
We just differentiate based on the state it is in usually.
When solid it is fat
when liquid it is oil
Ahhhh...beauty AND brains
Talking about yourself again.? :flowerforyou:0 -
I keep reading things from people who say that "i've done my research, and decided to cut fruits out of my diet, because carbs are bad"0

Yeah you shouldn't have olive oil often, I use frylight which is a 1 calorie spray. Milk not often either unless it is something like soy I suppose. I personally drink semi-skimmed but don't have it everyday. I do like my dairy though.0

Not needing something =/= it being bad. It's not exactly a subtle concept so should not be hard to grasp.0 -

Fruit has lots of sugar if you eat a lot of it. I've always eaten a lot of it and it's never affected me badly.0

I would have thought that this was the stupidist post of the day - if I hadn't already seen the post from the girl who worries that smoking cigarettes may have too many calories in them.
^^ yes lol0 -

You don't need to, nor is it very natural to eat seaweed. People still do it.
The food itself is irrelevant to the human body. The nutrient and chemical composition are all that matter.0 -
I think I figured out the problem. The OP is hungry. He doesn't get enough dietary fat and it's eating his brains away.
I'm out. Enjoy your truths OP.0 -
What the....0

Thank you for bringing sense to this feed. Profanity doesn't make a comment more valid. I don't understand why people have to be rude about it all!0

Ironic post is ironic.
You just won this site.0 -

Really??
That is what you come up with.....
since the Human Body has no need for something, therefore it is bad???
We have no needs for carbs, and yet we consume them, daily.......and somehow we still function and are healthy.0 -
OP just out of curiosity, what were your dietary, fitness and lifestyle habits before you went vegan?0

Hell, I would like to know what he eats daily at this point.0 -
You are once again ignoring the diet as a whole. One can eat a varied diet that meets nutrient and fiber needs and still incorporate oils. You are glossing over this fact repeatedly in your replies.
I think many people are responding to what they think i said, not what i actually said.
define "health food".
that's not a definition at all. you can't use a word to define itself.
So can the word troll.0 -
 :noway:  I can't stop laughing about cigarettes have calories in them. That is clearly someone who needs some serious education. These posts are great!0
