I just signed up for this today so I don't have an update on weight. I am currently 140, even after attending the Minnesota state fair and eating way too many calories. I guess I walked most of them off in the same day lol :)

Ladies.. Im finally taking another step.. Tomorrow my plans are to get a resume put together and put on career builders.. See if I can get myself abetter, less stressful job. Then just maybe I can get on a routine.. To where I can actually do stuff.. I think my stress level at work effects my weight loss.. :( So Im gonna see what I can do.. :)

Stress DEFINITELY affects your weight loss. Good for you for getting a resume together and putting yourself out there! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find a new job that works better for you. :)

mrsmommie08 and ang696, we started this about a week to a week and a half ago so be sure and add what you've lost since then toward the 20 lb goal or the rest of us would have an unfair advantage. lol I'm not sure of the exact start date though. Does anyone else remember?

We all posted our starting weights for the challenge on/about 8/21/10. I'll add you two gals to the weigh-in logs I'm keeping. Just let me know what you want your starting weight to be, and I'll put your current weight (what you post in this week's thread) as your current weight/week 2 update. :)

    Awesome! Thanks!
My SW will be 303 then! lol

 And in that case, next time you're in Vegas, make sure you go to Toby Keith's I Love This Bar at Harrah's Casino. LOTS of fun. They actually do serve their beer (and mixed drinks) in mason jars!

mrsmommie08 - got it! Adding you to the log.

And my turn to add an update. Things are going well. Last night I was doing my Wii Free Step and did a Body Test just 'cause it is entertaining. It said I'd gained 5.1 pounds since the night before! That thing is SO unreliable. I'm using it on carpet, and even with the little footies, it's not accurate. Weighed-in this morning and it was a fantastic reading. My official weigh-in day is Wednesday, so I'm not going to record today's weight, but it made me feel good.

And then since it is Monday I did my measurements and progress pictures. My measurements are good - I'm down in a few places, so that's encouraging. And then I asked hubby to take my pictures for me (which he has NEVER done before). They came out horrible. We compared them to my starting pictures in January and they didn't look good compared to each other at all. So then once hubby went off to work, I re-took the pictures the way I'd been taking them since January, and everything made so much more sense. I could see the progress.

So, word of wisdom to those who are taking progress pictures - take them from the same angle every time. Put the camera on the same shelf/ledge/height every time. Otherwise your photographic results could be discouraging.

    Hi CTK and bestmommie! Welcome!

We check in with the group at least once a week with our current weight. We also chat about other things, so you're more than welcome to come on in here and post any time. We're going to have a new thread each week, so just keep an eye out on that one.

We've also got a Team H20 website, where we're keeping a running log of everyone's weigh-ins from each week. www.teamh20.webs.com is where you can find if. You don't have to join by any means, but if you'd like to see the log, post pictures, whatever, you're more than welcome to join. :)

Okay, so I haven't been doing a whole lot of exercise this summer. It's been a nice 2-month maintenance period. I've lost a little, but pretty much focused on my diet alone. I was going to Curves before and that was helping me. I really need to start going back, but it's so hard to be self-motivated. I just turned 18 and I'm trying to learn to not lean on my family quite as much. It's hard when I still live with them and probably will for at least another year. I can't get my family to eat healthier, I can't get them to exercise with me, can't get my mother to stop telling me "Oh, don't worry about it" when I say I don't want to eat a fatty microwave lunch.

I know I need to start going again for myself, I need to give myself a kick in the butt. I wish I could be one of those people that enjoys exercise...but I really don't. I don't have a lot of exercise options in my little town. No pool, no zumba. We have a Curves gym and a high school running track. I'm going to college in September...hopefully that will widen my options a bit.

Out of curiosity, does anyone else here go to Curves?

So, what do we think about keeping the group name H20, even after the "halloween" challenge is over.. Since H20 stands for Water?? Well just need a new Icon for the next challenge.. :)

Sweetie - I can imagine how hard it is for you since you still live at home. Maybe with you leading the way of healthy eating, your parents will follow. Like, don't ask them to make healthier meals, just (without pissing 'em off) make your own food and eat with them. I never did Curves, but my mom did. That's all I know about it. And yeah - once you get to college I think you'll do great since you're already working on getting good healthy practices into your life.

April - We are totally H20 for life, yo! *cheesy gangsta sign* And I love you idea of a collage! You can use my avatar picture for me, and either my screen name or real name (Christine), whatever you prefer. Such a great idea!!

I kind of like this one: http://www.rolcog.org/rolImages/H2Ob.gif Right now it's being used by some church for their youth league or something but I don't think they'd mind if we borrowed it. :)
