    I haven't had a proud moment yet, so I guess I'd better get busy and make one. You have inspired me to seek out a new and interesting recipe for dinner tonight. Cooking and eating a delicious, healthy dinner would not exactly make me proud, cuz I do it all the time, but it would make me feel better about not achieving anything else today!!! :laugh:

    I went to the grocery store today, and instead of my normal chips, candy, frozen pizzas, frozen burritos and tons of soda, I bought pita chips, hummus, celery, granola bars, greek yogurt, and flavored waters. Yes, I did buy some sodas, but I bought some little 8 oz cans in case I have a craving. 8 oz is much better than 20. I am very proud of myself for filling my house with healthy food instead of junk. :)

    I drove to the gym with the intention of swimming a mile. The parking lot was really crowded and I didn't even get out of the car but drove to a different branch of same gym that has a heated outdoor pool.

    The heater wasn't working. I swam a mile anyway.

    Yes, it was 60 degrees out but we DID have a freeze day Friday.

    This will probably sound pretty corny but honestly every time I update my food or exercise diary I feel kinda proud of myself. I went to the grocery store today and didn't by any crap or junk food, I did treat myself with some 'Skinny Cow" ice cream sandwich's, I'll limit myself to 1 per day maximum. In the past it wasn't unusual to eat the whole box, so yeah I'm proud of myself for that too.

    Told ya it was going to sound corny... LoL

    I actually logged all of my foods today. I went over but at least I logged. I been lazy since the holidays hit.
  • I was craving chocolate so I had ONLY two squares of Lindt Dark chocolate sea salt instead of eating the whole chocolate bar and blowing my calories for the day! :)
  • I put the cupcake down & grabbed a lower calorie snack & I tried a new exercise! :)

    went to my favorite tack store,,,thats saddle shop for those not horsey..and jeans where on sale,I tried some on and was actually able to buy a couple pair!! now this saddle shop doesnt carry anything over a 15 ladies size,,I got into the 13s!!! bought $110 jeans for $65 each!!!! so cool!!!

    Hiking 15 kilometers today in miserable weather and not keeling over dead at the end. Halfway through I even got an unexpected compliment from my husband when he said he knew guys on pack marches that would be complaining and quitting at that point where I kept going.

    I turned a 930 calorie breakfast into a 580 just by splitting the biscuits and gravy with my husband. So we both saved on calories :)

    People throw around numbers like 100lbs like it isn't any big deal, 100lbs is a lot of weight!
    Be proud, don't diminish your achievement!

    I haven't worked very hard towards my fitness goals in the past 2 days (I have the flu, so I've been keeping the moving to a minimum aha).

    BUT, I braved terrible -40 temperatures four times this week and walked the kilometer to the gym to work out! Pretty proud of that! Darn Canada!

    I read recently that Yohan Blake, the second-fastest runner in the world, ate 16 bananas a day! High in carbs and sugar but filling and fueling!

    Even though I was tired this morning I still packed a healthy lunch/dinner for work instead of getting an extra 15 mins sleep & going out to eat.

    I made carrot "cake" mini muffins today.

    After lunch I wanted some dessert, just because, so I grabbed one, and Ate half of it, my intention was to eat it all, but I ate half and realized that I wasn't hungry, so I gave the other half to my husband.

    I think this is the first time I ever listened to my body.
