What was your proud moment today?

Not even being interested in the cakes in the office today, whereas normally i would be the one bringing them in and passing on the high calorie dinner my husband made, to stay under my calories, as want to see some good news on the scale in the next few days!0

Mine wasn't as great as all the ones on here but I am proud of myself nonetheless. I have made it to the gym for four days in a row, after not going other than once or twice in the last few years. I even managed to run for two (nonconsecutive) minutes. It's not much but it's a start and I am proud that I am actually doing it.0

I subbed a Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 workout tonight for my planned workout (horseback riding) since it's snowing and the roads to the barn are crappy. I was so tempted to take the night off because I was feeling whiny and crampy, but worked out anyhow - and at higher intensity than I originally had planned. Feeling so much better!0

Not buying the chocolate bar even tho it was soo temping, and I still had 30 minutes to wait until I could get home and get some food!! I made it home and got something proper for lunch
Also yesterday's very proud moment, was the mushroom sauce I made! It was yummmm!0 -

I passed by the pastries in the grocery store--which I REALLY wanted. But I asked myself what I wanted more, those pastries or tofeel better and live longer. Major step for me.:blushing:0

After the phone rang, I got back on the eliptical instead of blowing it off.0

I have 2 proud moments from the last few days that I hadn't had a chance to add yet.
First one, after I finished a hard workout before dinner I found out that my family were getting pizza for dinner. I decided that there is no point working out hard if I don't eat right, so I passed and had salad and a crumbed chicken instead! I stayed strong even though I had to go pick up the pizza's! I felt so good after that and now my motivation has increased too!
Second proud moment was, after missing lunch yesterday because I was at a client all day I had such cravings for sugary and salty foods! Usually, if I end up missing lunch or going most of the day without eating, I head straight for the nearest store to buy chocolate and crisps and liquorice. Yesterday, I must have passed 5+ shops on my way home and running an errand but I waited to eat until I got home. I ended up having 2 rice cakes to ease the hunger pangs before a healthy dinner.
These are proud moments for me because, before MFP, if I had the opportunity to eat badly I would never miss it. Now, I keep thinking that no matter how good it tastes, if it keeps me from losing weight it is not worth it.
So thank you to everyone for sharing your proud moments! You are helping people like me to keep faith that this is possible! :happy:0 -
Making it back to the gym for the second day in a row after not setting foot in a gym for the past 2 years!!!
WTG!!!0 -
Well I walked home non-stop from the gym (last time I walked home was on Jan 5th and I had to sit down twice - at conveniently placed bus stops). This time I managed it all the way home without stopping - cutting 4mins off the trip!
(BTW I live in a very hilly suburb and the gym is at the bottom of the hill).0 -
I'm proud I didn't stop to get anything "good" on my way home from an appointment, even though I didn't sleep well and am always hungry when that happens. (I'll have something healthy in a minute.)
And I'm proud of my MFP friends!0 -
When I jumped on the scales this morning and saw that I'd lost another kilo! I'm just at the beginning of this journey, but seeing my progress is definitely a big motivator!0
-
I took a gym selfie (I know dont judge) but I was so proud of my upper body. My arms and shoulders are starting to pop very nicely. Weight training pays off ladies, if you want to see I posted the pic on my profile0

I'm so proud of all of you!
my proud moment today was while I was hiking, we picked a 3 mile hiking trail, as we went a long we realized we could take another route that added an extra mile so we decided to take that trail the rest of the way! so ended up doing a little tougher 4 mile hike!0 -
I finally managed a complete workout from NROWL .....after six attempts0
-
Started my exercise routine after a difficult exam week which felt so good - muscles were/are still sore this morning but still went out to get my food shopping done (40 min walk). I also got healthier foods which should keep me on good standing for the next week and so.0

I've already posted on here once but wanted to post again
I was walking up the stairs in my flat block which is four flights up and needless to say, after the first few days I was out of breath at the top. Today I was FINE. I literally had to pause for a moment and go wait a minute, is this actually my floor?? And it was! Proud moment0 -
Congrats! Stairs are killer! And post any time you want, we have proud moments every day, big or small! I think I post pretty much every day haha0

My proud moment today was working out! I did 30DS 2nd day and after the first few minutes I wanted to quit, but I pushed through! it was not perfect but I did it!0
-
Today I resisted my urge to drink a Pepsi. I told myself I was mistaking thirst for a craving and drank water instead.0

I take a class to lean French. This afternoon we had to be in groups of 3 for a game. The other people around me didn't want to move so I did. The teacher said the person in the best shape moved. I was so happy I thanked her.0

my not so proud moment was burning myself today on the soup i made for lunch. as soon as it was done in the microwave i put my spoon in to stir it and as soon as i did it exploded onto my hand (and it was thick like cheesy soup lol and now I have nice bubbly burns already fml0

Great responses everyone! And great question!
My proudest moment was yesterday when I RAN on the treadmill...30 MIN speed intervals...with MINIMAL JIGGLE. If you've been an overweight, older chick like me who has had trouble running for 30 seconds because of knee pain and massive jiggling, you know what a great feeling it is to run on the treadmill like most people at the gym are able to do so effortlessly. (apologies if that sentence made no sense )
I RAN! :happy:0 -
I took the cat to and from the vet without stopping for a taco like I used to do!0
-
Travelling home from Uni is always bad. I go past so many take outs - chip shops, mcdonalds, kfc.... so hard when you're really hungry for dinner!
I used to go in and have a cone of chips quite regularly, but have stopped it all! Instead I eat an orange on the way home, or something similar, to curb my cravings >.<0 -
Ahhh so proud of myself today because today marks 20 days on mfp and 13 lbs gone. This thread and everyone that has responded helps keep me motivated and I hope does the same for all of you! great job everyone!0
-
today I'm proud because it was the first time I stayed under all my levels! under calories, sugar, carbs, and especially sodium which I have had a lot of trouble with.0
-
went to cross fit for the first time, even though i came in dead last i still finished, Was nice to have the support from the people there0
