Hi omelet2000,
Thanks for the kind words. First, I just noticed I made a typo. My starting weight was 251 lbs, not 215.
In the two years I went from 251 to 181, it was just continuous weight loss, no distinct bulking of any sort. Although I've been lifting for 15 years, so most of my lean tissue was generated during that period.
Hope that helps. Good luck on your journey!5 -
Always thought I had small, squinty eyes....turns out I was just fat
Almost 50lb down!
Okay I near spit my tea out on the screen when I read this. Totally get what you mean but it was so hilarious to see it on screen as I've thought the same thing when I was at my heaviest. Thanks for making my day and giving me a good laugh. Great transformation. Keep killing it!13 -

Girl...those pics, especially you climbing up that stairmaster thingy shows somebody means business and that somebody is YOU. Also, the JOY/smiles of you working so hard is just the stuff champions are made of, period.
Keep up the terrific work and thanks so much for your smile inducing reply!9 -

I've shared before, but this is where I'm at currently- 93lbs down, but have lost around 75+inches which is what I would prefer as I enjoy strength training. My goal is to be FIT by 40 (6 months away) meaning strong NOT skinny. I just happened to notice over the weekend that I have the beginning of abs-WHAT!?? Something I never thought I'd have or see! My "diet" (aka lifestyle change-no diet fads here!) consists of lean meats (lots of protein), lots of greens/veggies, and complex carbs. I eat around 1500+calories a day and strength train 3-4x a week with 10-15 minutes of cardio on those days and full cardio workouts the other gym days. I've been at this 2 years and had some hiccups along the way (including emergency gallbladder surgery last year) that have put me out of commission, but all in all, happy with where I'm at currently and will keep pushing forward! For the ladies- I started out in a size 24/26 and am currently in a 12/14. Keep pushing towards your goals guys! It IS possible with hard work, determination, and accepting yourself where you're at each step of the way. (P.S-ignore my makeup free gym sweaty selfie :-D )
