    Howdy Mike! Welcome.

@ Leslie - I've been in North Carolina in May. You can have it. It's not just hot, it's humid. At least it wasn't August. That's Africa hot.

We've got two Spartans in central Ohio in May and another Spartan in Virginia in August. The hotter, the better!

I'm a night shifter to, well not so much anymore but hey, Hey would anyone be up for having committed pen pal? I heard a connection over the net helps with weight loss. It would also be good to have someone to talk to for a change. Sometimes the people in your life just don't see the things obvious to a complete stranger. Also judgement from across the world doesn't really fade me.

Mike, I'm up in Kalispell, MT. I was out XC skiing last week in minus 13 degree weather. It was BEAUTIFUL! I had the mountain to myself and the air was crisp and clear with small ice particles giving the blue skies a sparkle effect. Love my Under Armour Infrared cold weather gear.

Hey Mark, Welcome! You're welcome to shoot messages to me anytime. Also, you can find a bunch of us on this thread most of the time. There really is something about other night shift workers to help figure out things day workers don't get. Like your irritation when they schedule meetings at 2 PM.

Nice. I've been enjoying my daily bike commutes here in Colorado. Minus 7 yesterday morning heading home, but should be a balmy 3 when I leave today. My co-workers think I'm nuts.

I ran 4 miles yesterday in 26 degree weather - in Texas...it's not supposed to be this cold. Everyone thinks you're nuts.... :D Then again, they all think I'm nuts anytime they ask and I tell them my mileage and it's in the double digits no matter the weather..............

I'm going downhill skiing on Thursday. It's supposed to be 26 degrees. That's practically T-Shirt weather up here.

I still smile when I think of San Antonio with a 1/2 inch of snow. I was in El Paso when it got 2 inches. There were adults there that couldn't remember that much snow. They had some good sledding hills in El Paso once the Trans Mountain Highway was closed down.

You can't even utter the word around here without everything shutting down. I just shake my head because I'm from northern Ohio originally.

Back at it again tonight. Just finished surgery to take a string out of intestines that was attached to two pieces of plastic, one on each end. The one piece never left the stomach so the string was trying to cut through the intestines. This dog is going to feel so much better now that the string is out of there.

Haha yes I am probably crazy 24/7. Tonight was my off night, but being active duty we are on call 24/7 so I am floated to the dreaded Med-Surg

I try to also ^, but sometimes they flip flop me from days to nights during staffing shortages. If I was kidless it would be a breeze to live on nights!
