I can't believe how tired I am. I have 36 hours to go! Thank heavens for Caffeine.0

Wow! That was a long weekend. Glad I'm back on the 14 hour shifts. Two to go and I'm off for a couple of days.0
-
Last night and then two days off. I'm ready for it.0
-
OK. so I'm back to work. A couple nights off did me good. Now lets cure things.0
-
Hello Nightwalkers almost 1:30am time for a fresh salad and a chai tea!!! What is your craving killer when on nights? Mine is chai tea and sundried tomato rice cakes, if I absolutely need the sweet fix I'll add a drop of honey into the tea!0
-
I don't have a single go to for craving killers but String Cheese usually does the trick.0
-
Normally I forget about my craving by the time I get off...usually because I'm so tired lol0
-
12 hours finally over0

Here we go. The weather is nice. The dogs are out roaming the neighborhood. A fight breaks out between two of them and it's time to start putting things back together.0
-

-
Hope you enjoy your two days off.0

I wish I could have skipped this weekend. I think the Grim Reaper set up camp in my clinic and decided it was cancer weekend.0

I've had a crap couple of weeks. We had to put down our diabetic geriatric dog, lymphoma came back with a vengence in our other dog (steroids are helping for now), and I accidentally stepped on our conure birdy. She's ok, but emergency visits and hospital stays for a baby bird is traumatic. No fractures, but soft tissue damage for sure. She's having issues moving her beak and eating. I hope she makes it. Maybe things might get back to "normal" in MadDogManor soon!!0
-
Wow! That's a lot for a couple of weeks. Keep us posted on how the dog and bird are doing.0
-
I think we may have stopped the bleeding in the D-Con dog. Don't put the D-Con where your dog can get it.0
-
Hungry as hell.... kinda wanna order pizza.... who's open at 2:34 am haha0
-
We had an all night Burrito place in San Angelo, Tx. That was really yummy but not very good for my mid section.0
-
The D-Con dog did well. YEAH!!!0

Only three hours to go and I'm out of here! :-)0

I'm getting stumped on this one. I've got a dog that got into some kind of a toxin but nothing is standing out on blood work. The poor dog seizures every time we let it wake up.0
-
Hope the seizure pup did ok, Suffer. The bird is ok, she has some issue opening her beak all the way, but her weight is stable and she's drinking. Lymphoma boy is on steroids for now. I'm going to try to concentrate on my CICO now :-)0
-
Sorry about your lymphoma boy. Are they going to try anything in addition to steroids? Hopefully your Conure will continue to get better. Are your weighing her? If you don't have a gram scale keep checking the keel bone to make sure it doesn't start to get prominent. That's a really good indicator of weight loss.0
-
I am using my food scale for the conure ;-) Her weight is stable, btwn 65 and 67 grams. Lymphoma boy had Madison Wisconsin protocol chemo last year - he did well, but it's been 12 months, and that's about the estimate they gave us. He's going to doggie heaven on Friday. We don't want him to suffer more. Thanks for asking0
-
I'm sorry about that. Even when you know it's the right thing, it's still not the easy thing. Glad the Conure is doing well.0
-
I hate having to work sick but there isn't anyone else to cover my shift. You can't exactly close the ER. I hope my techs stay healthy.0
