we had pizza with our kids and grandkids (not the new mom and baby0 last night and I'm going to have to drink a ton of water to flush out all the sodium from that adventure :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: the pizza was delicious but not what my body is used to.....today I'm back on my healthy eating

Jake is off to play golf this morning with his good friend in honor of the friend's birthday.....I'll do laundry, take a walk and maybe take the bus into town and go window shopping.

I'd like to join you on that one!! but alas, not so possible for us.. snacking is my worst issue, and I will try to control it by providing myself with snacks but not the junky ones

A Happy September to all!!!!:flowerforyou: Mine started good with a loss of 1 lb!!!:bigsmile: As God is my judge, I have no idea how that happened! :noway: I went over my calories at the wedding, we went out to eat Monday night and I was slightly over again. All I can say is that, with time.....because it's been a while since I dropped a pound....if you exercise religiously, drink tons of water and try to eat healthy food....with an occasional treat....the weight drops ...very slowly but consistently! And also, what I call a "bad" day today....was one of my "good " days before!:laugh:

Well have a great month! I'm at work and will try to get to the posts later!!:happy:

Birdie and Marie, congratulations on your weight loss, always a great accomplishment no matter how it happens.

I would like to join Barbie and Phoebe on that stay out of restaurants and other peoples homes for healthier eating but it is not always easy, especially since we go to my step son's house every Sunday and they don't eat that healthy. :grumble: :grumble: They are getting better with Phil's health but still not how I cook. :blushing: :blushing:

I am also picking up Bryanna after school and the two of us are getting our hair cut and/or colored. She is going to New Jersey with her mom and baby sister over the weekend to see her mom's relatives.

Hi all! Love the pictures. That baby of yours, Barbie, looks very bright and alert and cute as a button. How lucky you are. I am going out for dinner with my sister tonight and I do agree, the eating out is a killer! But I do love to do it.

:drinker: I had an interesting day today.....Jake took the car and went off to play golf in Eureka and said he'd pick me up later and take me back to Eureka for another visit to daughter and baby grandson......at first I though I'd just walk and do yoga and do stuff on the computer....then I got the idea of taking the bus to the University where my good friend works, so I researched the bus schedule on line, took the bus, found her office, and she was able to spend a few minutes talking to me in her office then take an early lunch so we could do some errands and then she brought me back to the motel......then I got the idea of taking the bus to Eureka (about 25 minutes away) so Jake wouldn't have to come get me, so I researched the other bus schedule on line, took the bus and he picked me up so we could go to the hospital and see daughter and baby........I lived around here for over 30 years and only took the bus a few times and that was from home to work.......it was an inexpensive adventure (even more so when I found out that I could pay the lower senior rate) :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile:

Happy Thursday!!! I did not win at bingo but it was wonderful seeing my friends again. We also planned an over night casino trip (Ameristar in East Chicago) for the Monday and Tuesday before my surgery. :bigsmile: It will be good to get away, even for just a short trip.

The weather is a little dreary with no sun and some showers, but with all the heat we have had it is fine. :happy: I have my meeting today and nothing else so it should be a good day. Making pork ribs for dinner, probably on the grill. I didn't look up the calories but I bet it is not good so I will watch what I eat the rest of the day. :glasses:

Thinking of all of you, hoping everyone is doing good, especially Irene. Hoping Neil makes a good transition to his new home and mom and dad can relax and enjoy their time together. :bigsmile: For those of you working so hard, remember to take time for yourself, your health is more important than any job. For those traveling stay safe. For those battling weight issues, we are here for you and support you!!

Hello, everyone. I only have internet access once in awhile, so I don't get on so often and don't keep up with the posts very well. Just know that I think of every one of you and count you as friends. I am half way through chemo. It seems to be going well...not so many side effects as I was warned about, so I am thankful for that. My doctor doesn't want me to lose any weight at this point...I lost so much at first....and she wants me to keep up my strength. So I get a little "rest." from dieting too closely. But I still have to watch everything I eat because of the diabetes, and I DON'T want to gain any weight back. God Bless.....Irene

Irene it's so good to hear from you! You are in my prayers. I'm glad that the chemo isn't as bad as you thought. I'm sure it's still a difficult thing to go through so be strong!:flowerforyou:

:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: Today we drove through Redwood National Park and along the Pacific coast again then along the Smith River and then back to I-5 through the Siskiyou mountains and beautiful green parts of Oregon.....one more sleep and one more day's drive before we get home....by this time tomorrow we'll have all our pets home with us.:bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile:

Barbie, the baby is precious and I'm glad you're enjoying your "Tour" with your husband.:flowerforyou: My husband and I love taking road trips and would love to do the north western part of the United Stated especially taking a drive through the Redwoods!:happy: Living in Rhode Island makes it a bit challenging :laugh: but I'm sure we'll do it someday.The before and after pictures are sure impressive!

Happy Friday!! The start of a long weekend for those of you who work. I hope you get to enjoy the holiday and do something for yourself.

Didn't do much today except exchange something at Walmart. I am having my son's girlfriend for dinner so she can bring Cruzer here to play with Daisy. It is a beautiful cool day and I actually turned the AC off and opened the windows. :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile:
