I think you're pointing right at the issue without realizing it.
That hamburger is an object. It is one dimensional.
Women are subjects. When you compare the images in the media with images of real women, you're treating them as objects or one-dimensional things. The thing that makes the "real woman" beautiful isn't that she's more aesthetically pleasing, it's that she's not an object. The "real woman" is a subject with a multi-dimesional personality and life. Her looks reflect the life she's lived and her experiences.
The hamburger exists for your pleasure and enjoyment. The woman belongs to herself and her appearance is not for you.0 -
You seem to think only women can be/are feminists.
Don't try to impress me with your posse of friend-zoned betas lol
Just trying to get the perspective of women who are true feminists to see how they would tackle this criticism or what their response would be? How do you explain this one? -Is what I am asking.0 -
The burger on the right seems more depressed than oppressed.0
-
I need feminism because women aren't burgers.

Beyond just the fact those themes are interrelated, there is also more allegory there than you yourself might have initially assessed

Actually, these type of pictures (the ones that actually portray women) usually involve some form of body shaming, saying one type isn't as good as another. This is, in fact, anti-feminist because it puts down a certain group of women.
ETA: and obviously I don't know how to quote...ooops!0 -
Hey OP, you should change your name to EccentricDad, Brah!0

FYI, burgers in commercials can't be touched up by the camera. However, they have their own makeup artists and the rules for food in commercials is that it be real food. It used to be it didn't even have to be the food they were selling, so mashed potatoes were often used instead of ice cream because it didn't melt.
My way of thinking is that this parody really is missing the mark. Women can have flaws airbrushed away in pics. Burgers actually just have makeup artists.
And I hadn't just eaten I probably would be headed out for a burger, but no cheese on mine please0
