Uhh first problem is that this isn't parodying feminism. Feminism is the strive for gender equality in society today. This seems to be a parody of the body acceptance movement.
Beyond just the fact those themes are interrelated, there is also more allegory there than you yourself may have initially assessed
Fixed it for you, brah. #IntellectualTrollFail0 -
HAHAHAHAHAHA IT'S SO FUNNY TO JOKE ABOUT THE OP MAYBE BEING GAY.
Is there something wrong with being gay?0 -
You seem to think only women can be/are feminists.
This, plus the fact that the photo looks like the same burger, only one has been sat on.0 -
damnit now i wanna burger - gahhhh
Dont trivialize this. And as I stated b4, women only please.
You obviously don't like burgers
are you saying OP prefers hot dogs?
Judging by his body building dot com posts, most of the guys there think he prefers the company of men!
stop beating around the bush. what are you trying to say?!
They feel he prefers to be taken by a man
taken? where??
to funky town.
... and by funky town I mean a private area where he may be anally penetrated.
oh. ok.
why does he only go there once a year?
U just don't get it.0 -

This isn't about food or burgers
To be honest, it isn't really about feminism either...
But hasn't the fat acceptance movement primarily focused on a feminist model of patriarchal oppression of fat women? --most clearly represented by the encouragement of women to diet??? I implore you to be reasonable!!
No. I don't think the fat acceptance movement has anything to do with feminism. Feminism combats the oppression of women, fat or skinny. We wish to be treated equally to men, to be valued on our personality, and intelligence, not on our physical beauty, same as men are. (Now this brings up a counter point, are men really valued on personality and intelligence that much more than women? Are they not also judge on physical appearance?)
You image parodies images like this:
This is not something a "feminist" would post. A friend of mine posted such an image on facebook the other day and my reaction (as a "feminist") was to be disgusted by the body shaming, the attempt to make ones sellf feel better by insulting others, etc. A feminist would want all of those women to be judge on their accomplishments, personality, intelligence, kindness, ect. We wouldn't try to make ourselves feel better about our appearance by down grading the appearances of others.
I mean, this one is okay, but again, it's still putting a lot importance on physical beauty.
*although this brings up a personal issue I have with the feminist movement; can't beauty ever be appreciated?0 -

I don't think it's a patriarchal oppression. I think it's society's obsession and promotion of a quick fix and the food industry cashing in on it. We are a nation built on "now", not work hard and reap what you sow at a later date.
This thread is so hilarious I forgot what the original post was.0 -
OP I'm gonna pin you down and read bell hooks to you
We're gonna have some quality bonding

True teachers use language that will reach the masses. Your use of elaborate wording and complicated jargon will only reach few. If you are truly trying to reach the minds of the masses on mfp, try using some clever cat gifs:)0 -
neither burger looks very good.
An ideal burger is made out of cauliflower and accompanied by cauliflower poppers...that was mistake #1 OP
