Since October I've averaged 13,601 a day.
My goal this month is to see 15,000 as many days as possible.
Some tips...
1- park at the far end of the parking lot
2- take the stairs when possible
3- park at the opposite end of the mall than the store you're going to
4- in the office, take a lap around the office each time you go to the toilet
5- walk while doing other things....I walk and read a lot
6- use 'map my fitness' app for walks as you get a visual of where you've gone....it motivates me0 -

I try to walk or march in place when I do lots of things such as talk on the phone. When I am scanning a magazine I can march but if I am reading a novel everything else stops and I am lost in the book.0 -

My tricks for getting more steps
I go to bed early instead of "relaxing" in the evening watching TV or messing about on the computer, then I can get up extra early and take a long walk before I have to shower and dress for my daily events......walking while talking on the phone, walking while waiting for anything rather than sitting.....always be on the lookout for an opportunity to be moving.
We have houseguests......yesterday afternoon, I said, "Let's go for a walk" and we walked around the neighborhood for more than 90 minutes.
