I hate cottage cheese on its own but I blended it into a protein shake with strawberries, vanilla protein powder, and almond milk and it made the shake taste like strawberry cheesecake! GOLD!0

Yeah, protein and calcium suck! So do B vitamins! And all fat MUST be bad, because we all want to lose fat, right?! And omg the sodiums--ANYTHING with sodium is a bad food! We can't possibly eat lower sodium foods throughout the day, pay attention to water or potassium, or read the studies showing that sodium mostly plays a role in someone's health if they've already got an existing issue.

I love it with applesauce!0

I haven't tried this recipe for whole wheat cottage cheese dill bread but it sounds wonderful! Anything that increases whole wheat bread's protein ratio is a win-win for this carb lover.

I usually eat it with pineapples or applesauce (or by itself lol) but after reading through this thread I'm definitely going to try some new things with it. I'm thinking apple butter and tuna will probably be the first two.0

Bumping this for ideas. I also love cottage cheese, but I don't know what else to do with it other than eat it with pepper... so yay, useless post!0

Bump for ideas. I have recently found a new love for cottage cheese. So far, I have only eaten it by itself or with a banana. Of course, it has only been two days since discovering it.0 -

I must've been living under a rock because I had no idea there were so many great ways to use cottage cheese. Thank you all for some great suggestions. I typically just eat it with fruit so i'm excited to try some of these.0

Uh, yeah, exactly. Why on earth would you consider something with that much protein in that many calories bad? 50% of your daily protein in 222 calories is AWESOME. And fat is necessary for health, too. Yeah, you don't want to get all of it in saturated form, but seriously, I can't understand how you could look at those numbers and think it's a bad thing to eat (the calcium too!) I mean, it's like anything else and you shouldn't eat buckets of it every day (unless it fits in your probably-to-gain-weight goals), but seriously.0 -
Cottage cheese is good with tomatoes and apples. Pears work too.0
