Dedication and consistence seems to be working for me. Remembering that quick weight gain only lasts a few days too.

    Movement is Medicine!

Yes. And the endorphins give you a quick reward and fitness/appearance gives you a later one.

When you say YES to others, make sure you aren't saying NO to yourself.

    Make yourself a priority!

Exercise: I can do anything for xx minutes.

If you keep going you won't regret it; if you give up, you will.

    Movement is Medicine!

Motion is lotion! (That's what my trainer says when I'm sore!)
  • What you eat in private, shows in public

This really struck a chord with me. A therapist recently told me that I have a food problem. Not a body image disorder, a food-shaming disorder. I grew up eating in private when my family went to sleep because my parents openly judged me about my choices (even when my mom made the food). Now that I live on my own, I still wait until I'm alone and then pig out.

I think I'm going to write this down and keep it on my fridge.

What you do today does not dictate what you do tomorrow, make the choice to be better tomorrow then you are today.

I always used to think.. well it does not matter what I do today because yesterday I didn't exercise or eat right, so i'm done, and i can't recover.. wrong. That was just an excuse. one day is just that, one day. Now, I would even say, ok so I ate an entire box of cookies for breakfast, lemme get back on track for lunch and dinner and get this train rolling forward instead of backward now instead of later.

That "eat to live, not live to eat" one gets under my skin for some reason, and not in the good way.

Mine is: Do what works for you, not what everyone else thinks should work for you.

    Amen sistah!!!

The best thing I learned was to view the changes I made in diet and exercise as a permanent lifestyle change, and not something I was doing to reach some predetermined weight.
