patience... it takes time, it won't happen overnight...

um, actually in the midst of this one but I do think it's something we all work toward along the way.. realizing we didn't gain inches/lbs. overnight, it won't be overnight that we lose it all.

    Great thread!:drinker:

If it doesn't taste fantastic, don't eat it.

"eat to live, not live to eat" doesn't really do it for me. As much as I don't want to 'live to eat', I also don't want to just 'eat to live'

I enjoy food.... that will never change AND I don't want it to - how boring would that be!?!!

That being said, just don't over do it. I can eat a little of something yummy and not have to cry myself to sleep over it as long as I'm not excessive with it.

    Balance is key!

    Enjoy the journey.
I found that once I started thinking about what I was eating I prepared food more carefully (after all - it was a valuable commodity!) and experimented with different flavours. I actually enjoy my meals more now. I also now get a buzz from exercising whereas a couple of months ago I hated it.
