Ham and rotisserie chicken sandwich with Pepper Jack, Colby Jack, pickle and onion. A leg and thigh quarter. Stir-fry made with some of the grilled chicken breast from Sunday. Very good.

I have a bunch of cut vegetables left over from a party so tonight I will use them to make shrimp stir fry, with rice on the side.

The Calhoun County Senior Citizens Association did the food for the bankers' conference I had at work tonight. They brought me a plate. Corn flake and parm chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green Lima beans {with ham}, a couple of whole wheat rolls and chocolate cake with marshmallow fudge icing. Yum.

Last night I made sort of a homemade hamburger helper. Cooked up a bunch of hamburger for other meals, had some leftover mac n cheese, and added some pizza sauce. Probably should have added some veggies but it was already 9:30 when I was putting this together...

Tonight we went to Steak n Shake with the kids. I had a double with cheese, we all split cheese fries, and half a jr s'mores shake...

"pizza" made with a portobello mushroom as the "crust". And roasted cauliflower. My husband begs for portobello pizzas all the time. So delicious and quite filling! Even good with salsa as the sauce if you don't have pizza sauce. I always forget pizza sauce at the store, but we typically have some salsa on hand. Tasty!

You proved the old song wrong. You DO get bread with One Meatball:blushing:

A little man walked up and down,
He found an eating place in town.
He looked the menu through and through
To see what fifteen cents could do:

    One meatball, one meatball,
He couldn't bought but one meatball.

He told the waiter near at hand
The simple dinner he had planned.
The guests were startled, one and all,
To hear that waiter oddly call:

    "One meatball, one meatball,
This here gent wants one meatball."

The little man felt ill at ease,
Said "Some bread, son, if you please."
The waiter hollered down the hall
"Ya gets no bread with one meatball!"

    One meatball, one meatball,
"Ya gets no bread with one meatball!"

Oh my goodness one of my favorite songs of all time! My husband and I sing this daily! And I thought of it immediately when I saw that picture too and was delighted to see I wasn't alone!

I love the old country blues songs. Jack of Diamonds is one of my favorites.

We ate at Sister's tonight. It was wet hot wings, fried wings, green beans {with almond slivers and bacon}, peas {with bacon}, macaroni salad, hot sausage and slaw. There was also a pumpkin cake, but I didn't have a slice of it. Everyone chipped in and helped with the cooking, and it was all good.

We really love this one. I haven't calculated out the calories, carbs and fats yet, but I will. I could eat this often and never get tired of it. Served with a slice of cheese bread or marinated asparagas spears and I'm in heaven.

My customers fed me tonight. {they even fixed a to-go plate for Margie} It was baked chicken, green beans, yellow rice, yams and a roll. Very good. And very nice of them.

Whole family has been sick, and we have some major construction going on at the house so I haven't been cooking much... Lots of soup, pizza, and sandwiches...

Friday night: Meatball Minestrone and half a grilled cheese.

Saturday: Construction took way longer than anticipated. Ordered pizza and made cookies for the helpers...

Sunday: Tried a pinterest recipe for Chicken Tater Tot Casserole in the Crock Pot that I thought would be a slam dunk with the kids. Chicken, tater tots, bacon and cheese. It wasn't pretty at all - I didn't take a picture. I wasn't that impressed but the kids ate it well enough. I might make it again...
