I got involved in the Final Four and forgot to eat supper at work. When I got home I had a sausage/turkey burger, green beans and a salad. Still good.

What better time to bake the last roast off of the Christmas ham than Easter? Baked ham, baked ham glazed with pineapple, cranberry sauce and brown sugar, garlic bread, mixed veggies, honey glazed carrots and corn salad. I made the coffee and heated the veggies. Margie did everything else. And she outdid herself on this one. Everything was very good.

When There are big sporting events we like to make a bunch of appetizers ala the days pre-kids when we could just hang out at a bar, eat wings and potato skins, and drink beer while watching basketball.
Tonight my 6 year old chose the menu:
Pretzel Dogs
Chicken Tenders
Bagel Bites
Popcorn Shrimp
LOL he wishes every night was a major sporting event...0 -
Your 6 year old has amazing taste!
Here it was a cheese and bean burrito with homemade flour tortilla and homemade refried beans. Thank goodness tomorrow is payday!0 -

I had office relief again this afternoon. When Margie got off work I slipped off long enough for us to have supper at Main Street Station. I had grilled chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy and steamed veggies with cheese sauce. It was very good.

Margie found a recipe for Garlic Roasted Cabbage and I gave it a try. Turned out pretty good. But I Googled to compare to other recipes and low and behold, there is one for Garlic and Bacon roasted Cabbage. Guess what I'll be trying next time? I used the extra cabbage, along with some baked ham and a bag of frozen stir-fry veggies to make a stir-fry. It was alright, but could have used some peppers or something to spice it up. {which I thought of too late to add} Would also like to try it with some link sausage in it. I bet that would be good. Also had some chips and salsa from Margie's lunch leftovers.

Sauteed asparagus, chicken, brown rice and a straw/blueberry smoothie. I thought about taking a picture of it to share when I was half way done haha. Maybe tomorrow.0

We went out for Chinese tonight. Egg drop soup, cashew chicken, fried rice, egg roll, fried wonton. Tons left over. Good, but super salty. Let the water guzzling commence!

I was really worried about my iron intake so I had...CHEERIOS!
I was at Walgreens tonight and there was an end cap display of Honey Nut Cheerios and all I could think was, "pshaw don't waste my time little bee, you may tempt my tummy with the taste of nuts and honey but you ain't got the iron I need..."0 -

I found some of the Protein Cheerios super cheap, so I bought a couple of boxes. I still have some of my Kashi's left, so I don't know how it taste yet. But it does have good protein numbers.0
