I figure no one wants to see me anyway, so why bother, lol.
I have a goal, not there yet, have to look at myself enough, others are forced at times to look at me, why add another picture to the mix? Maybe when the fantasy me breaks free of my imagination and becomes the reality me, but in the meantime, the profile picture will never be me.0 -
You must be really pretty! No men try to friend me But i'm with you, i'm happy with my man and only looking for weight loss support!0

I never did until one day a friend was saying how she can't see a difference in her body. I went back and looked at a picture where she was 40lbs heavier - I told her how great she looks and look how far she had come......come to find out the person in the picture in her profile picture wasn't even her.....now I ignore pictures LOL jk0
-
my pictures are me except one of Lyzabeth Lopez who is my inspiration. ...whenever I use that photo I post it with a disclaimer letting people know it's not me. Most people here are losing weight or trying to gain muscle ...pictures are a good way to measure differences, it would only be defeating the purpose if you start posting pics of someone else unless it was for motivational purposes. ...yes all my pictures are selfies since I am single and have traumatized my children enough...lol. That being said I do wonder if some pics people post are really them or if they are just posting to get attention. ...especially when they never log their food or exercise. why are they here?0
-
what i wonder most about pictures is the amount of selfies that are taken to show a good weight loss, is it too hard to ask someone to take your photo, its always a better picture when you dont have the camera in your hand.
I'm still far too embarrassed to ask someone to take progress pictures for me. So, selfies it is!0 -

I have been looking at all the photos of beautiful pictures and wonder.....why are they the ones who have so many friends? I have chosen to not post a great picture because I am to afraid that is how I will be judged. Am I the only one that wonders that question?
1. They have a ton of friends because they are super active on this site. They either reach out to people who are needing help or are super friendly. They post on forums and log in darn near every day. They log all their food and exercise and a lot of them have been on here for a year or more.
2. Their photos tend to tell a story. If you have the ability to see all their photos you usually see a transformation brought on by hard work, determination and trial and error ...over the course of time.
3. We all start with no so great pictures. That's why most of us are on here after all right? No shame in who you are if you know who you really are..the person you are waiting to see will come out soon enough. Until then love the one you have right now.
4. Pictures sometimes reflect inspirations..like mah boots...I want those boots...bad...real bad..almost psycho stalker bad.
5. The beauty you see is the outward manifestation of health, a healthy lifestyle, satisfaction with the fruits of their labor. You see a person blossom when they feel good about who they are and where they are headed in the health spectrum. Many people here got off the couch at 300+ lbs(or whatever their start weight) and are now runners, lifters(is that a word lol), athletes with a zest for life and inspiration/motivation for what they do. And most LOVE IT..Its that infectious attitude and determination that shows in their "beauty." The body is a temple and they have made sure it's up to snuff and are happy about it.
6. All this with the attitude to match has shown in their friends list expanding and the ever widening smiles on their faces.
Sure there are anomalies out there that may fall outside the lines of my description, but I really feel what I described is true. I love my MFP friends. They put up with my outrageous faces, occasional potty mouth and twisted sense of humor, but they inspire me. They are beautful inside out.
Hang around...you'll see what I'm talking about..and before you know it..you'll be the one inspiring others if you already haven't.0 -
The picture that you see is me on the right. That's how I want to look again or atleast somewhat. The other picture in my photos is what i look like now. So i just want to see if i can get back down to a desired weight. The pic is my motivation.0
