Gater, Scaper, Browncoat, Whovian, Family, Grifter, Potterphile, Cumber*****, pack, award-winning fanfic writer.

Marvel > Dark Horse > DC in that order. but ultimate vanity goal is to dress up as Ms. Marvel and Batgirl at Dragon Con.

I KILL it at six degrees of Kevin Bacon b/c I am that much of a movie nerd.

and when the great Trollando and Misha ('s sock monkey acct) included me in a convo on twitter, I had such a fangasm it should be appalling, but instead it makes me smile a lot.

    I am a language nerd

    english.jpg

    not a math nerd

    mathproblem.jpg

but that doesn't matter. b/c we are living in the

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and sometimes I challenge other people to HP trivia. I'm so ashamed.

    But I always win.

    Ha, challenge accepted!

I'm a huge gamer, have been ever since I was two. The first time I picked up that Sega Genesis controller, I knew this was something for me.

I'm an otaku. I have been since I was 8.

I met my husband on a Star Wars message board.

    ....

Also a Whovian, Harry Potter, LOTR fan. As far as comics, Marvel girl here.

Don't play video games as I'm hideously uncoordinated, but I do read urban fantasy like the Rachel Morgan series and Dresden as well.

Have been to SDCC, SW Celebration (III and IV and hope to go to VII) and Wizard World in Chicago.... and my Twitter feed is 1/3 friends, 1/3 geek news, and 1/3 NFL and NBA tweets. (Okay, the NFL and NBA doesn't count.)

I've earned my geek patches in Sci-Fi (esp. Star Trek), comic books (esp. Marvel, Image, and DC), and IT/electronics (e.g. home lab).

Example of my IT geekery, an hour ago I was temp-moving several GBs of M4V files from my laptop to my mirrored NAS and completely saturating a 100MB wired connection!
    yKV5DRS.jpg
My single 100Mb switch is the current botleneck. I eagerly anticipate the speeds that I'll get when I finally have time to upgrade my internal backbone with dual 1Gb managed switches. I already have the hardware sitting here, just need the time to do it. ZOMG the speeds I'll have then!!
I've already drawn up plans and set aside funds to CAT6 wire my entire house to distribute both data and video to all rooms. Eventually it'll completely eliminate the need for the FIOS DVR and STBs that I have to rent monthly.

#ETA: Does a ~21 year IT career count? (more than half my life)

I read more science fiction books in an average year than normal people read [any] books in an entire lifetime. I have Steam and XBox Live installed even on my phone. I spent this past weekend at Sacramento Wizard Con. I have spreadsheets for my weight loss and exercise. I maintain a current membership in the Society of Women Engineers...

Oh, wait, only ONE thing? Not sure my overachiever nature can limit it to one thing, lololol.
