Let me ask you a simple question, Penny.

My calorie target for each day 3400 calories. I have my macros set accordingly. If I have 350 calories to spare and all my macros/micros will still be on target if I eat 6 Oreo cookies (or anything you want to define as unhealthy), how will those Oreo cookies impact me negatively? How are they unhealthy for me?

There would really be no point in me providing an answer, would there?

    There would.

There wouldn't. I'd be told I'm backpedalling or contradicting myself or just downright wrong or whatever. On a similar line as was said to me, you guys haven't offered a single non critical word, why would you start now?

I don't mind though. I came here to offer helpful advice and information, if it's not wanted then that's fine, I will give up.
Jesus Christ on a stick, WTF are you going to tell people if you ever decide to become a nutritionist and they ask you a similar question?

"Well, I have an answer, but what's the point? That'll be $50, please!"

Someone who came to see me would be an entirely different case. I'd have their background and know their diet and health status and then if they had been prepared to do everything required to attend a consultation it would mean they actually want some advice and answers. I'm not being asked because the person is really curious about the answer, I'm being asked so that my response can be ridiculed. You're more than welcome to set up an appointment though if you like and then I'll answer any question you like if you're paying me. Not much point in answering a question I'm not being paid to give just to be ridiculed.

I just want to look at this steak some more...

ETA: Can we quit arguing already and just look at some food porn?

Ooooohhh. Can we top that baby off with some grilled onions and mushrooms?

No because it kills all the nutrients

Don't care. Want them anyway.

Were you "binging" on that salad?? Were you uncontrollably binging on a lb of steak? Come on.

You missed the boat. Your original statement was that those types of foods would not be served at that type of restaurant.

I reckon I did binge on the steak. That whole night in general. I better binge if I'm paying $75 per person.

I don't think Lindsey... er Penny has ever been to a Churrascaria (Brazilian Steakhouse)! The salads at the one near me (a Texas de Brazil) are awesome: fresh, tasty, varied. I have to be very careful not to fill up on salad before they start bringing the meat round. Because you can bet I am going to eat all the meats I can! Delicious meat, cooked over an open fire, hand carved at the table... I leave there so full I can barely walk, so yeah, I'd say that was binging!

Yum. I wanna go right now!

I was actually referring to Texas de Brazil :)....

Nah, the problem is you don't have an answer that doesn't violate the laws of thermodynamics.

I don't see how the laws of thermodynamics come into play as far as health is concerned. And I don't give answers that violate the laws of thermodynamics because that would assume I somehow ignore facts.

    In for bacon!

    KnowwhatImean???

Also, arugula. Once you get a taste of that spicy, tasty green, there is no turning back. You just have to keep eating it until it is gone.

I would. Just think of the entertainment value alone and you'd be getting PAID to experience it!

Someone pay me to make an appointment with her.

On a related note, do you think she'd kick me out before the consult began if I came in eating ice cream?

You are incapable of directly answering a question.

Well, have fun being a nutritionist. Luckily there are already lots of nutritionists like yourself shoveling mounds of BS to their clients, so you'll be in good company.
