Not sure this qualifies as a NSV but my I went for my annual physical last week and my Total Cholesterol was 118. Last year it was 170. My doctor was thrilled with the results.
Completed the St Jude 5k with my oldest son (9)—we finished in 30:36, not bad for a non-runner with a hip injury and a first time 5k-er! He had a great time and is already making plans for more races. My husband did well in the 10k—Big NSV for him, and so wonderful to be active as a family. My 7yo is already planning to run next year’s 5k
Hooray! Great time!
My husband and I were there too. Last year's St Jude 5k was the first race we ever ran, and we finished in 38 minutes and something. This year I placed 2nd in my age group with a time of 28:56. I love running through the St Jude campus and seeing all the kids come out to cheer!
Edit to above: meant to say 27:56, not 28:56. Just under 28, not a pr but a good time for us.
Mine is strictly not a recent NSV but it's something that I appreciate every time I wash my hands. I can now wear a ring which my Mum bought for my 21st Birthday (I am now 73 and Mum died in 1984) for a lot of years I couldn't wear it as it was too tight
Today I finally got into the last of my 'skinny' wardrobe, couldn't come at a better day after of weeks of a SD (scale defeat). Let's hope the skirt will be too big soon!
The temptations have been strong this week, but I have been very disciplined! Christmas party season starts soon and I have sparkly new outfits to fit into!
Several and I've recently restarted for what I now truly believe to be the last time:
I ate a predetermined amount of chocolate instead of just finishing the entire bag. I logged how much I was planning on eating, ate that amount, wanted more for about 5 minutes but held out and 10 minutes later I'm fine.
Instead of bingeing on chocolate, I decided to actually eat a standard amount.
I felt too full to finish my dinner and I left a hotdog behind (but I finished my veggies!)
I woke up feeling thin and I've just been walking around all day feeling skinnier. I actually shocked myself because I'm thinner in my head than in real life. So when I looked in the mirror, I was shocked to see I didn't actually look drastically different, I just finally feel like a thin person. Like I feel as though I'm already at my goal weight, my body just needs some time to catch up with my mind.
I had a craving....I ate a 7-11 hot dog for an after shopping snack..(Ruh Rooooh Raggy!) Ooooh then I wanted cheesecake and cookies and After Eight chocolates! No NO no!
So I went to the full length mirror and tried on my goal jeans. When I started MFP I could just get them to my knees and now they come all the way up to my butt. I decided to keep going and not give in. I want to zip those jeans up comfortably one day soon!
After hopping on the elliptical for a Christmas music infused super intense workout that left my legs shaking, I ate some organic raspberries and a little piece of the best artisan cheese. I feel satisfied and victorious!

Of course, it qualifies! I am sure you are thrilled, feel so much better, and are healthier.
I hit 100 days logged, I bought a size 12 jeans (the last pair I bought before this were a size 16!!), a dress I bought 4 months ago is now loose on me!
For the first time since high school (and I'm nearly 40!), I own some clothing that doesn't start with X or XX for the size. I'm most excited to have just invested in a new winter coat, size Large, since I'm feeling confident that I won't lots of extra space for backsliding.
I'm so excited!! I've got my last interview for an amazing job this week, and have been told by the person that recommended me for it that I'm a shoo-in. There's no other applicants currently, the person that recommended me is big in the company, and (not to toot my own horn) my work history is dynamite, so the only thing holding me back is if I bomb this interview.
Aaaaaaaand, it's going to get me out from working behind a desk to working indoor/outdoor. It's physically a pretty demanding position, so I'll be able to burn some calories and see the sunshine! AND it's a huge national company with plenty of room for promotion, not like the small business I work now where there's nowhere to go, even after 17 years. 17!!
I live in a northern climate and winter weather (snow / below freezing temps) has started to make its appearance. Roads in our neighborhood are icy and slippery in spots. Dog and I have been a little bummed this week. NSV #1: My workouts have transitioned to brisk walking on the basement treadmill instead of outdoors. NSV #2: I just noticed on my Fitbit that my "exercise" recap is registering my workouts as "elliptical." Too funny. I guess that's because I pump my arms as I walk. Thinking I may not invest in an elliptical machine after all.
My feet have gotten smaller, so now I can remove my ankle boots without unzipping them. (Note that I'm not actually happy about this, since they used to fit well and now are too loose.)
I'm 100% on board with getting new clothes that fit, but getting new shoes feels like such a waste...
Entered a 'virtual runner' charity medal event. 25km over 25 days of December. Hit the mileage needed within 3 days so seeing just how much I can shock them with on Xmas day when I submit my result 😀
