I volunteer at our local Visitor's Bureau and last Tuesday we all took a bus tour to visit most if our local hotels. Most hotels took less time than alloted so one other lady and I walked between many of the hotels since we had the time. Instead of sitting on the bus like others, I added almost 5 miles to my day's walking.22

Today I realized something! I love watching myself while I workout. I look so strong and fit now! I also had someone look over at me during my plank and ask "are you still holding that?" It was awesome, 4 weeks ago a 15 second plank seemed impossible now I'm holding 1 mintute planks with ease!15

I resisted delicious donuts through the whole morning meeting8

Kind of a NSV. I read on a maintenance board someone was maintaining at my current weight and height. I was like WHOA WHOA, hold up a minute!!
Funny how their meeting goal made me rethink my goal and appreciate that I would be just fine right where I'm at IF I were ready to stop.
We get so fixed on the number and how we're not there yet that when we do realize we're really close , it's like ***Shazam*** all sparkly and stuff.17 -
My most recent NSV is that I had two co-workers that I don't see very much (they work in another area of the building) stop by my Dept just bc they had heard I had lost alot of weight and wanted to see for themselves!18

Fit in a 32 waist pair of levis, regular fit.
There tighter than I like but not for long
Down 65lbs so far over three years14 -
I actually have a SNV (scale non-victory)
I cut 20lbs from late february and hit my goal weight but I don't look anything close to how I would like. So now I don't know if I should start putting on weight again to add mass or cut even more to get to the body fat % I want. *sigh*2 -
Returned to a -50 lbs level after bouncing around as much as 10 above that. Alas, another 17 to get to my low water mark.13

Completed week 4 of C25K today. Halfway there!17

Doing some car business today. Took back my driver's license and checked the weight. Of course it was a flattering guestimate I gave back in the day, and now I'm 12lbs lighter than that fabrication!13

The scrubs that I wear to work are starting to feel a little baggy7

Until this week I hadn't worked out in years other than some hiking on weekends once or twice a month. But this week I worked out 4 times (tonight will be #5) even though my goal was to only go 3 times, AND two of those days I did lap swimming (which means suffering through being in a bathing suit in front of not just strangers, but a triathalon team doing swim training at the gym I go to!) Even just the second day of swimming (third day of working out) I noticed my stamina had improved. I think the biggest NSV out of this though was that I ENJOYED it!15

<---- updating a profile picture that doesn't have to be seriously angled or slightly blurred to hide a big fat chin.7

Getting back on track was a great NSV for me. Ten days of logging. A few years ago I lost 150 lbs and gained back about half of that. Realizing that while others may see MFP as a crutch the concept of logging my food will probably be a permanent lifestyle for me. I tried just controlling my food eating like I normally do while logging but one excuse leads to another, you fall right back into that pit of depression due to stress you start stop thinking about your food and only seeking sweet and tasty treats that make you ill and get larger and larger and larger.
Here is to my continued success and yours.27 -
Did not touch one cookie, baked good, or treat during a conference that I attended the past 2 days. They were in abundance so it was difficult.
Additionally, breakfast and lunch as well as a social with drinks and passed hors d'oeuvres as well as all types of cheese. I made sure I had a small healthy breakfast at home and ate the fresh fruit provided in the morning. For lunch, asked for and received a healthier option, skipped dessert.
The social was hard but I only had one light calorie drink and crudites.
On top of that, had dinner with friends both evenings after the conference and stayed within my calorie goal and maintenance on both days.
One more day to go!
That's some fabulous willpower and commitment there - great job!6 -
I did 36 1/2 modified push-ups in a row.15

Time for a boost by trying on my starting weight pants size 24w. Now at a slightly loose size 14. Seems unreal to think I use to wear those pants.19
-
I grilled up some hot dogs for the kids and really wanted to eat them but instead made an egg white omelette (turkey, light cheddar, spinach, salsa) and a garden salad and I feel kind of good about it.20

I logged every day this week, started all my mornings with some basic exercises, and hit my weekly step goal + 5k!11

Biggest NSV so far... After losing almost a hundred pounds this last year... just over the past few weeks, I finally realized that I have met my own standard for health and beauty and stopped striving to meet someone else's. And in doing so, I set a new standard for how I am treated by others. I don't have to endure mistreatment because I finally feel a sense of self-worth that isn't tied to any other person. It's MY accomplishment, MY hard work, MY body, MY choices, and MY life. Not anyone else's. I've found a new sense of independence and self-esteem that is based in taking care of myself and treating myself well and there's simply no turning back from here.61

This whole thread is great, but this post is one of the best things I've read. Congratulations, both for all your hard work and for taking control like that and finding that sense of self-worth!8 -
Parents now want to buy healthy Israeli food up the road instead of dominos pizza to eat as takeaway20

I had a re-orientation at the gym yesterday because they had some new machines and it turned out the floor manager I was scheduled with wasn't familiar with them either, so we had to ask another one. It reminded me that we don't have to worry about not always being an expert.12

Thank you . . . it was eaten with great gusto by my children!5 -
NSV - went down the big slide at the children's park today (first time that I have fit on it comfortably) I also played on the see-saw with my son and made him push me on the swing. He wasn't impressed, I could tell as he kept looking around to see if anyone could see whilst muttering "I CANNOT BELIEVE that I am doing this". It was great fun!12
