Last night I was trying on old clothes, to see if I could fit into them again. As I was going through my closet, I came across my old high school winter formal dress. I am a size 18. Started at a 20, now a very loose 18 but I can't fit into the size 16s I have yet. I need to lose about another inch and a half on the hips.
This dress was a size 14. I kinda laughed and decided to try it on just to see what would happen. I was happy when I was able to get it over my head and my arms through the sleeves unzipped. I then asked my husband to help zip me up, how far would it go... It went all the way. I was in the dress. It was a little snug on the bust but fit everywhere else. I was FLOORED to say the least.
It really reminds me how far I've come and how far I have to go. I also fit into my old leather jacket, my old denim jack, and 2 blouses that were formerly too small. My husband was laughing at how excited it made me to fit into old clothes.27 -
I did a breakfall in Aikido today, and I didn't die. I don't even have a bruise. I didn't even get the wind knocked out of me. I rolled right out of it and continued my attack. For those of you unfamiliar with Aikido, this is a picture of the beginning of one:

I finished the C25k app today! I've had to modify a bit because I've munted both knees and my right ankle, so I've completed it on the elliptical but I give zero *kitten*, as I've done it! And I did this morning's run at a higher RPM/watts than last week, so double nsv!
Those exercise endorphins are real. Yay Monday!28 -
I went to a birthday party this weekend and and saw friends who didn't know I was losing weight and haven't seen me in 75 pounds. I got a wide eyed looks and compliments. The best was from a buddy who didn't even recognize me at first. When I walked over, he did a double take.20

Signed up for a 5K! Can't believe I'm doing a race...and by myself since I don't have any friends who want to run. But it's not going to stop me. I'm actually looking forward to it and then it's on to a 10k.22

A silly NSV - in the front middle of my car where the cup-holders are located and little nooks for holding stuff I noticed that it has stayed clean for aggeesss due to no crumbs everywhere from me binging on pastries and cakes on the way home lol!42

First run in sixteen years yesterday; completed 2 miles cross-country with hills...Stopped only for a shoelace. Yes, I had a 90 minute hot tub soak after...but I did it.29

Oh - and the sexiest, strongest, most-fit, incredible woman I've ever known said I am inspiring HER to get-back-at-it. Wha???? She gives ME routines for the gym and she gives ME advice on nutrition and stuff and junk...
was blown away.26 -
I climbed the five flights of steps to work today without feeling like I was going to die.28

I've been feeling a little unmotivated so I thought I should post something that's actually quite huge.
Saturday night I went through every single item of clothing I own and tried it on. I got rid of anything that was too large for me and arranged all of the things that are still a bit tight into a single area. There's not much in that area of "too small".
I also ordered a bunch of clothes online and kept putting the wrong size in my cart... I know I'm not an XXL anymore and yet that's what I kept selecting!25 -
NSV: For the first time ever, I see striations in my shoulder muscles, bulging veins and clear muscle definition. I never thought I would ever look as I wanted to, but now, I do and I'm getting better each day.20

After a week of binge-eating and feeling sluggish, I decided "enough is enough" and walked 3.5 miles first thing in the morning. i feel great again22

You're going to love it! And look for local running groups where you live - check MeetUp, specialized running stores - you'll make some new friends fast! Our clubs have pop-up 5ks, weeknight free-runs, happy hour runs that end at restaurants. . . .7 -
New skirt in a size L. Size 14 pants. Size XL shirts (boobs don't seem to be going anywhere in a hurry).
Fitting room tears (the crying kind, not the seam ripping kind ) because this is such a far cry from the original size 22s/2x.30 -
I was cleaning out my dresser and I found my original jeans that made me realize that I have to lose weight. They were a size 18 and I got them so that I could "have a loose pair to wear around the house". Needless to say, they fit perfect and my true size hit me.
When I pulled them out yesterday and slipped them over my other pants (now a size 6), I showed my kids and my 7 year old daughter says "Those are huge....I could fit in there with you!" So we tried.....I actually was able to fit my 7 year old and myself in my old pants!!!!
We were laughed so hard until I realized that if I were to trip at that moment, we could really get hurt! I also realized that I have lost over 15 lbs more than my 7 year old! Dang! I was proud

Having to constantly haul up my workout pants AND my underwear at the gym, only to go home and wear a skirt I also had to be constantly hauling up. Good problem to have!
Hurray!17 -
Putting on a pair of pants that have been sitting in my closet unworn for over 4 years! I did not have time to wash this weekend and nothing to wear, so I just gave these a try and they fit! Even the scale doesn't a big lose, apparently I'm shrinking. Even my daughter said she could see the difference esp. in my upper arm area....my wings.18

You know that skinny pair of pants you keep in the back of your closet because you can't stand getting rid of them? I'm wearing them right now! Two sizes down32

This is the first year since I was 12 that I picked a Halloween costume that I didn't completely hide in. I usually opted for mascot-style animals where no one would see any part of me because I was ashamed to be so big.
But this year? I'm Velma, and I think a friggin' cute one at that

I moved from constantly doing ring rows as a scale for pull ups to using bands. When I started working out I couldn't even pull myself half way up with three bands! Now I use the two largest bands and I can do a few! I can't get many with the bands and I frequently kip, which I shouldn't, but doing the actual pull up motion will get me closer to being able to do strict pull ups!16

My NSV for today was doing 56 pushups without resting. It reminded me of how much progress I’ve made since late 2015 when I weighed over 330lbs. Still a work in progress though.27

I finally nailed both my elbow grip ayesha and my electric switches/leg switches today. Both moves were giving me issues b/c I was afraid of falling. But today for some reason, I was able to push through the fear and I kept practicing the moves until I nailed them. I've been trying to get these moves for about 2-3 weeks now.

my first post here.. I had 3 mini NSVs yesterday. Collegues at work commented on how fresh I am looking, the dress I was wearing was quite roomy yesterday and at 10 pm, hubby dearest said that I looked as if I had just consumed 10 energy bars (this was after all the cooking and cleaning.)
Totally made my day23 -

You make a good Velma.7 -
I set myself a challenge of running 50 miles over 50 days, for some serious runner that might not be a lot but I hate running. I hate everything about it, but I knew I needed to improve to make progress at Crossfit and for general health and fitness. Yesterday I completed that 50 miles on day 50, during the whole process I knocked off 1 minute and 15 seconds off my average mile pace, took 8 minutes off my 5km time and managed to do a 9 km run ! Happy i-hate-running person here! Now for my next challenge 50 days of no chocolate and to master proper push ups like a big girl.
Well done to everyone on their NSV's this week, keep going35 -
I only ate 2 Oreo cookies last night. I used to eat a whole pack in a day or two.23
