My buttocks visibly change shape and lift when I flex them. Thank you, Bret Contreras!18

walking away from muffins, cookies and treats in the staff room multiple times this week. Damn December is tough.21

I've just clocked up 801 miles on Map my Walk. It's taken me since March 2015 because I can only manage 1 - 2 miles at a time but, I'm very pleased with myself.

Ran my first 5K today and came in at 33:38, a whole seven minutes faster than my goal when I strated the race!20

I tried on a lot of pants the other day thinking my new size was 10, now it's an 8 I guess so there's that. Really depends on the brand. I believe that was my size in high school and it's a decade later.18

Wonder how many I'll hit by bedtime?

It has been an entire year I have been living a better life. Previous longest was five months. Feeling really good about that. It's a major NSV for me! In those twelve months I consumed approximately 262,500 calories less than I burned. Obese class 2 to overweight bmi.
I mainly focused on pure weight loss over fitness but now I started a lifting program and reduced my deficit. Looking forward to the changes in my body a year of strength training will give me.
Inspiring quote stolen from Reddit. "As long as you're alive change is inevitable. As long as you're changing, it's possible to do better."31 -
My grandma gave me a ring for Christmas one year when I was in high school. I could just wear it on my right pinky finger. I saw it a couple weeks ago and it matched my outfit so i though I'd try it. It fit on my left ring finger. Today I was able to wear it on my right middle finger and I could even get it on my left index finger (though it was tighter than I could comfortably wear).
It was definitely a nice sign that I am losing since the actual scale numbers have been a bit stuck for the last two weeks12 -
Started seeing collar bone and an elongated graceful neck. I stopped depending on my waist trainer. I cried19

Did my first session at the gym this morning, never imagined me in a gym in all my 71 years and I enjoyed it47

I went out today to a family birthday and I felt good in my skin. That is HUGE for me. I walked across the restaurant and held my head up; in fact I strutted across. I may have had a less than perfect weekend but my confidence has had a huge boost and that has inspired me to knuckle down and get back onto this weight loss journey.

I wore a pair of pants yesterday that were previously too small, and have been for the last two years.19

Today, I realized there has been cake in the house for 4 days, and I haven't eaten it all!41

I read other people post this NSV on this thread so I thought I would try it since I am in a hotel tonight withonly regular towels. The hotel towel fits around me and overlaps like 6 inches! When I started a regular towel wouldn't even overlap at my hips.36

My facialist saw me after a long time,3 months to be exact. She asked me if I'd lost weight? I almost leapt with joy17

I managed 10 burpees just using a 6" step to modify!!! A couple of months ago I was struggling to manage one using a bench to modify.22

Last night my wife told me that I haven't snored in weeks. No wonder I feel so much more refreshed in the mornings. I guess that would be her NSV as well as mine :-)35

There was a pair of jeans I bought on clearance either right at the end of college or just after I graduated (so, 7 years ago) that I bought because of the value even though they were an inch or two from fastening. They've been sitting in my closet all those years, through a massive gain in weight and then loss, and this weekend I just wore them for the first time! I haven't worn jeans in forever either as first I was too large for any of the ones I had, and then I just didn't even think about them until I got too small for the ones I used to wear.25

I went out of town for a Christmas party this weekend and forgot to pack shorts to wear under my dress. I spent plenty of time walking around the party, danced, and walked a few blocks to the after-party with no chub rub. My feet were still killing me, but I was one of the few women that did manage to keep my shoes on all night.31

After years of doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred workouts when I needed a quick one I never did Workout 3 (the last of the workouts). Well today I did and I was able to do the whole thing with only 2 workouts adjusted for beginner. Happy dance NSV!27

I'm doing deep squats without thinking about it, to clean the cat box, take photographs, talk to small children... I used to avoid bending and would sit if I had to do tasks down life and now I drop without thinking about it.25

Going shopping in the Misses Department instead of the Women's Department and being able to button the blazers I was trying on. Three fit, and I bought 2! Nice to have a choice and not have to settle for whatever fits!25
