My first NSV - I was so out of shape when I put up the Christmas lights that I needed help with the gorilla ladder. I just took down the lights, and was able to move and set up the gorilla ladder easily by myself.16

My second NSV - 6 weeks ago I had an MRI because I was having excruciating shoulder pain with, and I thought it was a torn rotator cuff. Turns out the doctor said it was arthritis! Bummer! I notice the past few days that I have a larger range of motion with my shoulder, and the pain is going away! I want to thank the Success Story people for pointing me towards weight lifting!23

I have never been able to run - Just not my thing, my build, my stamina and mainly my lungs just not wanting it (I have asthma). I am in good shape with my gym cardio, weights, cycling, yoga and walking/hiking as forms of exercise. Just those lungs give in every time when it gets too hard.
Still over the last two months I have started to try. Just a short round around the channel it is only 1.1 km really not far. As most people I started off go as far as you can and then walk until you catch your breath etc. It is what I did and I saw improvement. My husband (an avid runner) pointed out that I tend to start a bit fast and I listened
So today I did start slower, caught myself before I picked up speed, listened to my breathing and for the very first time I did this little round without stopping at all! Given my lung history this is a major one for me.
Straight aftr I did a 40 minute weights workout as well So I had a fantastic finish of 2016!39 -
I took my wedding ring to get it resized today. It was originally a size 10.5, it is going down to 8.25. I'm looking forward to being able to wear it again15

After not able to get out on the bike since November because of sickness and weather finally got 4 rides in this week for over 80 miles. I have ridden 2887 miles since I started tracking miles in May. We may get one more mild day tomorrow before we get more normal Iowa winter weather.18

That is like such a forever gift to me and I am so happy that my mind goes there! The outfit doesnt matter since I wont be in it long. WAH WAH WAH.

I'm the same way. Just a psychological boost to log my weight each day and usually breakfast and lunch. Sometimes I just mentally add in dinner. It works.
1st NSV of 2017: No overdoing it last night and heading to a nearby state park to do a "First Day Hike." All TX State Parks are participating, probably other states, too. Great to start off active rather than crashed on the couch!14 -
I have been consistently treadmill running 2-2.5 miles per day. It gives me a great calorie buffer as I have a tendency to play it too safe with my calories and sometimes under eat. I finally feel like I am finally getting to where my body craves the workout and I am eating more. Love that!
Hope to have a strategy soon to start lifting heavy with hubby.
I am sometimes in awe that I am actually doing it! ME!! The fat mom!!!26 -

Today I made lasagna, thinking it'd make one meal. It was a nice portion but hey, it's New Year celebration.
Eventually, I decided to cut it in half and get the second half if I wanted it instead of putting everything into my plate. I knew if I had put it in my plate, I'd have eaten it.
Sooo, I have a nice leftover of delicious lasagna for lunch tomorrow! Double NSV ^^29 -
Today I'm wearing a pair of size 6 skinny jeans and I'm totally comfortable! I can't wait until I'm in size 4s - I would finally be getting in to single digits in Australian sizing18

Ran my second 5k today! There were intense hills and it was cold but I still beat my time from November. Also I felt way more relaxed and had fun! Thank you to everyone on here for being so supportive and inspiringhope you all have a great 2017.

Bought a pair of jeans last week on sale a size down and fully expecting to have to lose another 5-10 pounds before they fit but they fit yesterday... I should have bought next size down while on sale but didn't think I was that close17
-
I was at Target and trying on clothes. I didn't like anything BUT I did get a glimpse of my booty in the mirror and I wasn't mad27

Been faithfully logging in for a year now! (well, I don't log All my food Every day, but I am here every day!)23

My NSV is that I am back logging and have set a goal for spring. I have increased my activity over this holiday time and now time to once again be serious about this program as it works.10

i think (hope) i just lived through the flu. so today i'm just happy that i woke up at 7 am and haven't yet felt like i'll die if i don't go and lie down.
for my next trick, i plan to try eating again. i'm just waiting for my mouth to stop tasting like that weird hot-cedar smell you get inside a dry sauna.14 -
I went to Sydney for 2 weeks over Christmas (visiting in-laws) took the capris/shorts I wore last summer and they were almost comically too big.14

I love your outfit.3 -
I did a treadmill 5k+ at the gym today. No incline, but varied between 3.8 and 4.2 mph, and was about one hour straight of running. Maybe this spring when it's not so suck-*kitten* cold I will attempt a real 5k.22

My wedding band and engagement ring are a little loose now and make a happy jingling noise when I move my hands. It reminds me that progress is happening.
Also, when my husband was in the shower, I swiped all of the leftover Christmas goodies and put them away out of sight. One cookie is okay. One cookie every time I walk by is not.23 -
Fit into some more clothes today--goal clothes. I fit everything else in this size about 8 lbs ago, but these pants & this shirt are more fitted.18
