yesterday I tried the Vibram five fingers running shoes and even though the friend that was lending me those said it's hard to run couple hundreds of meters in them for a beginner, let alone a 1K, I managed the whole warm up outdoor run before Ultimate Frisbee training (2.5K). Guess that tells me my running style is already pretty decent since most people struggle with calf pains when using these shoes for the first time.
Good on me ^_^0 -
2 times in the last week i have been cold - its that time of year, and on both occasions when I mention Im cold (everyone else isnt) I have had the reply of "you dont have all that fat to keep you warm anymore" - from 2 different people
Also always looking for friends so add me!2 -
Finishing my first day of a 6 month bootcamp. It was leg day..1

I volunteer a lot with my daughter's choir. The teacher just bought the main moms and dads sweatshirts. Oh, the perils of trying to buy clothing for an overweight woman! I have been wearing a 4x for a long time and he bought me a 2x sweatshirt. I was horrified but decided to try to on anyways. Oh my goodness, oh my joy! It fit! Would I like it to have more room? You betcha and it will. Is it probably a bit big for a 2x? Probably a bit but not a lot. Nothing lower than a 4x has gone on this body in so stinking long, I'm owning it. Yeehaw!9

SOMEBODY FINALLY NOTICED!!
I have not lost any weight this week (and I won't know now until Dec 3rd - No-Scale-November!) and was feeling a bit discouraged.
My sisters best friend saw me and said "WOAH! Looking good, have you lost weight?" It lifted my spirits so much!3 -
Got through this morning training session without my inhaler for the first time ever!!!!
I think I am inproving my conditioning enough so my "at stress" level is getting pretty high.2 -
I'm wearing size large shirts instead of XL now!2

I've been working out since January'14 (this time) and I am nearly at my goal. I am very happy with my life now but by far the proudest moment was when I was running on the treadmill next to my 15 year old whilst watching my 10 year old in the kids circuit training class at my local gym. It has become a bit if a family joke for them to say "well mum what did you do at the gym today?" Because apparently I keep talking about it. In part that was because I am recovering from cancer and I keep trying to reinforce to then that I am not ill now. But exercising alongside my girls made me a proud mamma and I was surprised that they were so excited about it- this is not just MY message for life but their's also and my biggest wish for them obviously that they live a happy, healthy & long life. Week 2 and it's going well7

Last night while on the phone with my mother I climbed 4 flights of stairs in my parking garage and she didn't even realize that's what I was doing.3

Well let's see, I haven't touched the Halloween Candy, been faithful to the gym and have gained my muscle tone back that I lost after getting too comfy last year.

Wooo! I've had another one. Two in two days!!
This morning, I decided to try on a top that I bought a few months ago. I bought it without trying it on during the massive binge cycle that ultimately prompted me to change my life. But, at the time, I was in complete denial. So of course, when I tried it on after I got home, it was miles too small!
IT FITS!! And it looks pretty good. I still have a long way to go. I can't wait for it to be too big!2 -
I RAN FOR 5 MINUTES TODAY! WOOOOP! (C25K week 4, day 2)
for anyone just starting out with this app, stick with it. it totally works. i could barely run for 1 minute the first day.6 -
I bought my first pair of jeans since December 2011 about one month ago2

I went down a pant size! I just decided I'd go to the store and see if the next size down fit. Well, they did!2
-
Bought jeans in a size 18! WHen I started this while journey, 24s were too tight. I tried on 4 or 5 pair to make sure it was not just vanity sizing from one lable -- they all fit. I'm getting there.2
-
Cheekbones - I have them, who knew! And fitting in to work trousers this week that I couldn't button up a few months ago.3
-
I bought a size smaller pants! I haven't been out of my size 18's or 20's for as long as I can remember. This feels incredible.0

I went for my walk yesterday (I usually try to go for around 3 - 4 miles) and it was so beautiful outside I kept going until I got to 10 miles. I'm barely even sore today which is very different from after the walk yesterday lol! Very proud of doing this since when I first started I could barely go a mile without huffing and puffing about1

I have 2.5!
A lot of my clothes just DON'T look good anymore, because they are too big! (One in itself) BUT I then decided to try on my best friend / roommates pants. He is a thin boy, and his pants fit!! And if my memory serves me, they were a pair that was skintight on him.
The other one was this afternoon my (new) french roommate came downstairs, and found me in the kitchen...again. She exclaimed "You are always cooking and still so skinny!" It felt great to know that someone noticed who hasn't known me that long.1 -
Finally hit 110lbs on the seated overhead press after two deloads and micro loading back up also blew through 170lb bench press with a similar protocol.1

Last night I decided to add an extra workout to my regular routine and threw in a dvd for an ab workout that I had done in past. I did it last night and noticed how much easier it was than in the past. My abs are now so much stronger than they were just a couple of months ago. I can get through all the exercises without having to take a break.1

still not quite in my overall goal of my old favourite jeans... but I need to buy new work trousers as all 4 pairs are now too big! never been so excited to have to spend money!0

Somehow... I now have a thigh gap. I did NOT try for one, I am not thigh-gap obsessed, but I have one. I think it's because my main exercise these past two and a half years has been walking - my legs are super toned and nice for the most part. And while I try very hard not to buy into the "super skinny" thing - I think curves are amazing and Marilyn Monroe is my beauty icon - I admit to feeling a little glee when I saw I had a gap. I used to be 262 lbs. So yes, I'm putting that as my NSV5

My Watch now freely rotates around my wrist.0

Back in college (2010), I bought a sheath dress "aspirationally" (it was a bit tight). After college my weight crept up and up until I finally started to make some changes.
Well, tried it on today. It fits! And it looks good! Don't care that tomorrow is casual friday, I'm dressing up!1 -
Saw a shirt I wanted and asked to try on the XL and hope it would fit. She said "Oh no, that would be too big on you" and gave me a L. And...it fit! And was roomy. Love it.1

I shrunk my size S sweater in the dryer by mistake (lay flat to dry, DUH!) but the NSV is that it still can be worn, it's just a little more body-con, lol, with 3/4 length sleeves now.0
