Good job today. Proud of you for not just going home and relaxing. We can relax when we are dead.:drinker:
I've walked 3.5 miles today, spread across the day in 1 mile increments. 5 minutes on the ET and a few mins with weights. My eating yesterday and today have been pretty good.
After eating less yesterday, my scale actually went down this a.m. to what I wanted to see yesterday. Must be fluid. I'll weigh tomorrow too.
I'm trying not to eat after 8 pm. I think it makes me weigh more:laugh:
I registered at Babies r us today. Mostly for the things I know I need, cause I don't have anything. I just wanted to start getting an idea of how much I will have to spend as we get closer. I found a car seat and stroller I like, and I'm going with a basic baby bed this time around.

I just had this big old long post on here and it just disappeared...one minute I was typing and then it was on Facebook...how did that happen...of course when I hit the back button, it came back to this reply box, but it was empty...ARGHHHHHHH and it was so full of wisdom too! LOLOL
Anyway, I am very proud of you for getting in 3.5 miles, and weights and ellipticalling! I wish I had time to do all that kind of stuff. But I have to work. I owe I owe...♫♪ You know the routine.
I try not to eat after 7, but that didn't work last night. And yes, I had sausage dogs for supper too...so I may not step on the scales today. I don't really feel swollen or anything, but it is still raining. Which means the pressure is low and gonna make me heavier...
I read or heard once that we shouldn't eat after 6...I need to go research that again so I can be more educated before I speak of it! LOL
So my promise for today: 30 minutes in at least 10 minute increments, of SOME KIND OF EXERCISE. (I would love to be able to go for a walk today...if the weather clears up!)0 -
I think the increments thing is working for me. I was getting so bored doing whatever for so long, that just squeezing in a mile herre or there is working better for me. Especially because I move so slow now.
We have dry weather here today and cool, supposed to be cold tonight.
I weighed this am and it was up from last week only .6 of a lb same as yesterday and I like that number better than Tuesday's which had me up 1.4 lbs. We had a low move in Tuesday, maybe that was my issue too. I've never thought about it.
Goal for today, another day of watching what I eat and saying NO.0 -
I weighed...I am down!!!!! a whole pound down!! I can't believe that...but maybe all my walking is paying off...because it's certainly not my stellar eating...although I am logging EVERYTHING I eat and measuring it out too...that's got to be saving me some calories from before doesn't it? So even if I am eating 2000 calories now...it was probably more like 2500-3000 for what I thought was the same amount of food before...really...
I have done 15 minutes of SHAKE WEIGHT. I didn't do the dvd...I just started shaking it. I even brought it to work with me. My arms feel heavy now. So I know I did some good. I did the single shake, the double shake and over the head shake...it amazes me how my belly shakes when I use that thing! LOLOL I wish I hadn't stopped using it...I really think my arms would look super amazing by now, really. I think it does work! Using it is the key! (One reason I brought it to work. I can sit at my desk and shake it with one hand while I work with the other! LOLOLOL I can hunt and peck type with the best of them!
The rain is supposed to end today and get COLD for us...the high tomorrow I think is supposed to only be 44. I really am going to have to go buy me some shoes! All I have is flops! EEEEKKKKKK0 -
It is cool here. 70 right now with beautiful skys, but very very windy cold air, feels like 65.

My goal was 1.5 miles and I did 2. I took a different route around campus. We really have a beautiful campus and perfect areas to walk. I walked through the Memory Gardens again today. It's really a peaceful place. I spoke to my friend, Ed, as I walked by his grave. I thought of the number 3, because that was always his answer if you asked him a question! LOL Good memories!
I've been doing my shake weight a good bit just while sitting at my desk. I'm almost tempted to buy me one just to leave at work. They are just $20....and that way I could leave this one at home by my chair. I'm determined to get my arms in shape! Determined to get my whole body in shape!
And by the way...it was very windy on my walk and 51º with a wind chill factor making it be about 45º but the sky opened up and was a brilliant blue right before it was time for me to go walk! I love when God shows out for me like that!
I think I may try to walk toward the north side of campus next time! Just for a change! Don't want to get bored! LOLOL0 -
I'm going to get a shake weight for my husband to watch me do it, cause he laughs so hard at how "sexual" the commercial looks.0

It's Friday! Ballgame day! We have to travel about 2.5 hours tonight...so today is a short day at work for me! YAY!!!
I am leaving work at 12 today so what I will do is walk for 30 minutes and then go home. I've done too good to mess up my streak now.
So my promise for today is: Walk at least 30 minutes today, and get at least 1.5 miles.

I didn't make a promise today, but I did do 32 minutes of hula hooping today anyway! And I'm glad I did! That makes 6 days in a row of some kind of movement! the only way I got to do it was because Lettie fell asleep. But I did it and got it done.
My football team lost, but I still love the Tide! And they will roll again!

Today, I took a rest day! I could have done something, I had time to do it, I did clean my bonus room and landing...AND I got 3 of my 10 Christmas trees put up!!! I love my bonus room! It's my favorite place in the house! Especially when it's clean!!!!0

Rest day is over! Today I promise to do 30 minutes (at least) of some form of exercise. I may have to take my Shake Weight to work with me again. I had planned to do some hula hooping this morning...but I slept in till six this morning and didn't get a chance. Of course I've been on the computer for 45 minutes! yes, I know where my priorities are! But I WILL get some form of exercise in today! That I promise!

Promise for the Day: Walk 2 miles at lunch time! Ooooooo I upped my goal! LOL I did it yesterday, I can today too!
Last night I baked a Low fat pasta bake for me and Lucy to eat on. It is supposed to be 4 servings. WOW it made a whole pyrex glass dish 13 x 9 dish...But I'll take it! It's measured and ready to be heated! YUMMMMM

mozerella (skim milk made)

Sorry I've not been popping in. I didn't do any walking yesterday, busy day and didn't get home till dark, too tired for gym.
I weighed this a.m. and haven't gained any weight since last week. 241, last tuesday and today. actually 241.6 last tuesday, so I've actually lost weight, weird. Probably fluid.
I will get a walk in today before it gets dark, or I may ride my bike.0 -

Well I knew that today would be a no exercise day if I didn't do it first thing this morning! So I made my promise to myself last night that I would go down and hoop for 30 minutes this morning. And i did. When I got done, I felt so good that I came upstairs and got my shake weight and just continued on for 46 minutes. I wanted to burn at least 225 calories and that's how long it took to get there. But I did it. I'm sweating so even if that is all the calories I burned I feel like I had a good workout! I'm tired but a good tired. And I feel accomplished. I don't know why I don't want to exercise, it does make me feel so much better! I think maybe I DO want to, I just have trouble finding time to. But I'm making time now. I have no excuse. I can get 30 minutes in after work if I go immediately when I get off...which means I have to change clothes in my office before I actually get off...oh well, sacrifices! And I have a route I can get done before it gets dark, the problem with that is that the days are still getting shorter until December 20, so I may have to just stay in my office and do WATP tapes, which is ok too. It's all exercise! I'm still doing SOMETHING! But today is a day I will have to pick Lettie up after work, so I knew I had to do it this morning! DONE! Promise Kept!
Now if the scales will move some more I'll be doing great!0 -
Back to setting promises for me today. I had a food blow out yesterday and am paying for it with the bloat today. Poofy.
My promise today is 30 mins of cardio, get caught up on clothes washing, and clean out some of the paper junk that settles around the computer. OH and i promise to log my food today. I haven't done that in several days.:ohwell:
I think I like promises better than goals. Goals seem to be broken easier, where as you hate to not keep a promise.

I agree with the goals vs. promises thing. When I make a goal, I tend to not care whether I actually do it or not. But if I make a promise, then I take it to heart! So I will be making promises! It keeps me going!0

It's Thursday, Veteran's Day. I am not off, but I took off. I plan to get some more Christmas trees up today. At least 3 more. That will be six of 9 or 10. I can't decide whether to put up the 10th tree or not. It would really be pretty in my dining room. I have Crimson walls and a white tree would really stand out. but I also have to put a table in there for Thanksgiving. So I will have to think about that one!
Anyway, I am appreciative to all the Veterans and current soldiers in our land. Without them, we wouldn't have the freedoms that we do, and for that I thank you!
My promise for today: I promise to do at least 30 minutes of some form of heart rate upping exercise today. Which may be hooping here in a minute, I can't decide if I want to go do that or not.
And PS...I think the scales have moved a little for me...not sure yet!0 -
I did 67 minutes of cleaning. Heavy cleaning. I wore my HRM just to see if it was worthy of using as exercise. I think so...My HR ranged from 108 to 125 so it was elevated the whole time...I think that is worthy...especially since I am sweating like I am, and breathing pretty hard. Now, see, if it was just regular picking up cleaning, I wouldn't have counted that, but this was deep stuff that I only do once a month. I'm not done either, but I probably wont' count any more cleaning. I'd still like to take a walk today, but I'm going to be walking alot tomorrow (going shopping at our new premium outlet mall in Bham) but we will see. I can take the stroller and take Lettie today! That would be fun!
So my promise has been kept for today, but I would like to have some more "exercise" today too!0 -
Today is Saturday. For today, I promise to do 30 minutes of some kind of exercise, not cleaning. I will either Hoop or walk or even both. I'd like to go take a walk today but my schedule may not work in my favor. It's supposed to rain starting tomorrow and for the next few days, I guess I'll have to do my WATP tapes or do something before work.0

Me too. 30 mins of on purpose exercise. I'm taking an antibiotic which makes me super sleepy, but I am going to do my 30 mins today. I promise.
I also promise to stay withing my calorie target for today I only have 460 left cause I ate a big lunch with ice cream for dessert, but i could make me a veggie plate for tonight and easily stick with the 460.

Didn't make it with my calories and didn't keep my promise to exercise.
I was so tired, then I read the side of the antibiotics they gave me and it said it causes drowsiness, that would explain why I felt like a wet noodle most of the day.
My promise is meeting my calorie target and 40 mins of exercise, which I'm going to do right now before church this a.m. And drink lots of water.0 -
I don't know if what I counted as exercise was really exercise, but my arms are so sore this morning. We had to cover the pool at our old house since it has been rented now. And it had algae on the bottom that wouldn't just vacuum up. I was having to scrub the bottom with the vacuum head with the long pole...it was work I was sweating and exhausted when I got done. But the pool was clean and ready to close! LOL it's a lot harder to vacuum the pool if you aren't in it! YIKES!
Today, I think will be a rest day for exercise. I may take a walk but it's clouding up and rain is supposed to be on the way. We'll see, but I'm not making any promises for today! I still have a tree that is up but not decorated. Maybe I need to do that. I have church in about an hour then I'll be home maybe for 2 hours before I have to go back for our ladies meeting. So not a lot of time to do much today!
My weight is down, for that I am thankful! I saw 227.5 this morning. Haven't seen that in a while (since I gained the 10 lbs.) I'm feeling better about this now. I've laid off the sugar which is good for me. And when I do have something with sugar, it's 1 and only 1 little fun size candy bar. Surprisingly it's enough for me. I can do this. I CAN! I WILL!!!!!0 -
Today my promise to myself is:
Shake Weight at work when I can...even if it is for 30 seconds at a time...those add up to minutes and my arms are showing definition!
Hula Hoop for at least 30 minutes tonight while watching TV. I would be sitting on my butt doing nothing otherwise, so DO IT! I promise I will. My goal is to have at least 36 minutes of these two exercises. Anything over will be a bonus!0 -
Well I decided last night, it would be best if I got my exercise over with in the a.m. since I am less inclined to do it at night or afternoon these days.
So I made myself a promise and went this morning. 20 mins of cardio and about 10 mins with weights. I wanted to do more, but thought 1 step at a time, it is just so hard for me to breath.
My food so far today has been awesome. I'm trying to watch my sodium and increase my water intake. 3 full glasses so far already. I'm going to rest now and read a magazine, this antibiotic has be so tired. I did manage to get the dishes done, scrub the toilet (yucky) I hate doing that, and wash 1 load of towels. I'll have to do the rest this afternoon.
OH I DID GET MY MAIN Christmas tree up yesterday. Need to finish the other decor tonight.0 -
I could kick myself for not going down in the basement when I got up this morning. It would have been so simple to get it over with. I will do that tomorrow. I'm not going to like going down there tonight! But I will!
