I hear you on making big ole babies! Me too! We thought Lettie was gonna be a 9 lb + baby but she came out 7 lbs 15 oz. She was 10 days early but I was 7 days early with Rilo and he was 9 lbs even. Still I guess 8 lbs for a 16 year old was pretty good sized huh? LOL I like the name Wyatt though. Family names are only good if they mean something for you. I found my sons name on a tombstone in the cemetery where all my hubby's family is buried. It said Riley Morgan and I liked it. LOL So I named him that way. If you like the old names, you could take a trek through the cemetery and see what you can find!
I don't blame you for not reminding them. And that's sad that your MIL hasnt' held baby Wyatt yet. Very sad indeed!
Where I walk is safe. I wouldn't go there if it wasn't. There is one part near my office that I don't like to walk on so I don't. For some reason its very isolated and just scary. It's strange.0 -
I just walked 8.2 miles again today! My son and his girlfriend went with me and Lettie. So we walked on my favorite part of the trail. It was supposed to be cold and cloudy today but it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day of 67 degrees!
I have a mouth full of fever blisters again and they hurt this time. I put my Zovirax on them but they popped out anyway. I think it's from the tanning bed. I am not stressed about anything so it has to be that.
I've still got to go make my supper. I'm not really hungry but I have to eat.
Hope you are doing well! It's sooo sooo close now!0 -
Weight loss is continuing! 23 lbs down now! I love it! I never ever thought I'd be able to lose weight like this. This morning's weight was 212.5. I'm hoping that tomorrow it will be even more down. It usually drops right after I put in a weight on here! LOL
I am surprised that my eating has been spot on this week too. I figured I would go off the deep end being at home all week...but surprisingly I've been eating probably better than if I was at work. It's all good. Lots of fruits and veggies and lean meats. Fish tonight, with broccoli and cheese and great northern beans...sounds yummy. I even bought myself some brussel sprouts yesterday, I haven't had those in a long long time, but I like them...LOL
OK, hope all is well with you! Love the new profile pic!0 -
I walked 6 miles today. I was going to try to go 2 more, but I was really tired. I think maybe I've done too much lately. I'm up to 63 miles now. so I'm not too far away from my 3rd 100 miles. 300 miles since December 29, 2010 WOW...that's a lot of miles isn't it?
I'm thinking tomorrow will be a rest day, other than walking through the Babyland General looking for a new baby for Lettie.
I gotta go find something to eat. I've got calories I need to eat! Grapes sound good!0 -
Okay, Lettie is getting a baby? like a real baby? or baby doll? Cause if they have a place you get real baby's my sister would be interested:laugh:
I know I've been MIA, and I've been reading your post, everyday with all this mileage is just amazing. You have really and literally come a long way since January 1st.:flowerforyou:
I'm going to try to walk today. I've been having lots of discomfort and pain especially from that weird c=section pooch. Apparently it is filled with fluid, I thought it looked bigger and was hanging funny:frown: Hopefully it will go down and pull back up some after I have the baby. I thougth we were close with a name, but the more I said it the less I liked it. So now I'm back at square 1.
Pray that I'm able to get some exercise today as not doing it is really affecting me emotionally and I don't want to go into having the baby feeling down. I'm just really ready to see him and see that he is healthy. I was actually dissapointed yesterday from the doctor when she said nothing was going on down there.
Even though I'm nervous abut my section I am ready to see him. And move past uncomfortable pregnancy mode.0 -
Oh, Babyland General is where the original Cabbage Patch Kids (They were called "Little People" back then) come from. You can still buy the babies with cloth faces (instead of the prepackaged ones in the stores now with the vinyl faces). And you can get them "born" from the "Mother Cabbage". It was soooooo cute. We told the nurse that we wanted a baby girl, with brown eyes, and no hair (Lettie doesn't do good with the yarn hair they have). She said she had to go check the cabbage patch and she will get back with us when they found one. They did and they called everyone around the cabbage tree (where they are born.) they have this big to do and everyone watches the baby be born. It's fun! She named her Lettie Roxie. And she had to go in the adoption room and pledge that she would be a good mommy. She loves her! LOL
Go to their website and check it out. You can google Babyland General.
I'm sorry nothing is going on. That means he's not coming early I bet. But he still could. there is nothing more frustrating than just waiting! At least you are to the point where they even check you for it!
You really have to get that baby boy a name. You will end up with a "Baby Boy Barlow" if you don't watch out! LOL Bee Bee Barlow. Rocco BeeBee LOL There that's his name! ;P
Since your sister in law named her baby Wyatt, you should use Morgan Earp Barlow. Wyatt Earp's Brother was Morgan.
I like Simeon Andrew Barlow.0 -
Did 6 miles this morning. I jogged and walked...about half and half...did it in 90 minutes...4 mph!!! I have definitely improved! My first 3 miles were done in 45 minutes...not my best ever time, but pretty danged good if I do say so myself!
Hope you are doing good today. The heat is getting pretty intense outside, stay cool so you don't swell up!0 -
Just had my "Anthony" Workout. MAN, he is a killer trainer. He's not mean, he just guilts me into doing everything he says...LOL Today was work on arms day. I had to do these things where I got in push up stance and pulled each leg up and twisted...then I had to do mountain climbers, and then burpees...I call those throw upees...cause I felt like I was going to puke again today! My arms are going to hurt tomorrow, I can tell.
I will walk 3 miles after work today. I plan to run at least 1 mile of that.
I hope you are doing ok just resting. I remember that drove me crazy. Make Nicholas fetch you everything, and make Rick feed you! LOL Enjoy your last little bit!0 -
OMG you will have your baby in less than 1 week! It's here...Are you ready? I'm so excited for you! Rocco is gonna be soooo cute!
I'm just checking in with my weigh in stats. I was down 5.5 more lbs for a total of 24.5! In 8 weeks. I'll certainly take it. I'm so close to ONEderland I can't stand it! I will get there. And I will keep going! I'm going to be a skinny mee mee soon!
Take care! ♥0 -
Oh wow! I thought my mileage on my ticker was off so I went into my Cardio trainer to check it out. Sure enough I was off by 25 miles...So I've reached my March goal...now on to April!!! I really need to go buy my charms...I never got February's and now I need March's too. I think maybe I'm going to forgo the 5 lbs lost ones for awhile. I can't aford 3 more new ones I don't think. That would be 7 new charms all at once. And I ain't got an extra $100! LOL0

Sorry I've been MIA. I feel aweful today. I'm down because I"m hurting so bad. I really wish I could exercise and walk. I can't wait to heal from my section so I can start again.
I weigh more now than I've ever weighed in my entire life. YUCK. I'm not thinking too much about it. The doctor said yesterday that when they give me IV fluids my swelling will get worse and it will take about 3 weeks to go away. She said the fluid build up in my lower stomach will ooozzee from my incision for a while because there is so much, yuck, but at least she is preparing me this time for it.
I went to the doctor Monday, Tuesday and yesterday (reg check up) and she didn't check me yesteray b/c I had gone on Monday. Nothing was happening, i'm having some type of nerve pain/pressure from the fluid pushing on the urethra. I can't even lay down to get rid of the pain. It hurts to walk, sit and lay on my side. I am so ready for next week. I'm nervous but ready to be out of this pain.0 -
Oh No! That sounds excruciating! And to not be able to do anything about it would drive me crazy! I'm surprised she isn't talking about doing something sooner. Is there not a medicine they could give you for the fluid build up? But sweet baby Rocco is going to be so worth it all isn't he? 4 more days and you'll be done!
Love you!0 -
I asked about a fluid pill for when I got home and she said no. She explained that the capillaries around my feet and abdomen just aren't pushing the fluid and fluid pills are meant to pull fluid from organs like the heart, lungs, etc for older people or High BP. SO she said if I took one it would pull fluid from all the wrong areas and I'd still be puffy but dehydrated at the same time.
I tried.:laugh:0 -
Dang, but I suppose that does make sense. I actually can't take meds for swelling because they cause me to swell instead of getting rid of it. I can take this one pill called Bumex but it works different. I take them when I've eaten way too much salt and I can tell when I need one. otherwise I just have to watch my sodium.
Be thankful that you aren't having to go into summer being preggo. I can't imagine what the swelling would be like then, can you? At least you aren't having toxemia issues either!
Take care and try to not be in pain!0 -
1 day left. By this time tomorrow I will have a new son. OMG. Still unreal to me. All I can think about is the surgery, my sister says I need to think about the baby, but I think it won't seem real until I hear its first cry.
We had sort of picked a name and then we decided no. So right now he has no name. AGH. I was really hoping to resolve that, so we'll see. I've done everything I can do to prepare. His room is ready, the house is as clean as it will probably ever be again:laugh: and I've got stuff for Nicholas to do at the hospital tomorrow while he waits. Snacks, new lego kits(surprise for him), cool coloring things, and $1 billls for the vending machine. Plus I'm sending his game boy. I wish we had an ipod or something he could play angry birds all day.0 -
I'm so excited!!! I can't wait to see and hear all the details about little Rocco! I can't believe it's already time for him to be born! I hope your pain has subsided and you can be ready to go in and enjoy your little bundle of joy! And you know what? You know that the surgery is going to be a piece of cake for you! You know what to expect this time! It won't hurt as bad when you have to get up for the first time!! WALK sister WALK! You know that helps!
Once you come out of recovery, all you will be thinking about are your babies, both of them. You will see Nicholas in a different way, are you prepared for that? And you will have enough love for the both of them! Alot of people worry about that...but somehow it's there!
Is your sister coming to the hospital? Maybe she can bring some of her electronic toys for Nicholas! But he's gonna be very interested in his new brother...you know that right?
You need to try to post the info as soon as you can...or text me on my cell...I can't wait! Congratulations and good luck! ♥♥♥0 -
I hope everything is going well for you! And by now, Congratulations are in order!!! ♥♥♥0

Logan Marshall Barlow is a very handsome little baby boy! I'm so excited for you! Congratulations!!!!!
I'm about to be off to learn & burn! Won't be long before you are out there joining me!0 -
I hope you got to come home yesterday! I hope everything is still going really well for you! I can't wait to hear all about everything and see more pictures of that precious sweet thing, Logan!
Today, I plan to walk 10 miles. Can I? I think I can. I think I can...I think I can! It may take me the better part of 3 hours to do it but I have got to burn some major calories and I think this will do it.
My knee is still giving me a little trouble, so I will have to see how that does. But really, I think I should at least be able to WALK, I want to be able to run a mile but we'll see. I WILL go at least 6 miles, and tomorrow at least 6 miles. But I'd love to be able to put 16 miles under me this weekend!0
