Does it make you feel better that I had 5 hot wings, 3 chicken fingers tossed in hot wing sauce AND about half of my tortilla chips with LIGHT ranch??? I'm swollen from that this morning. My calories were ok but my sodium was RED off the map! LOL I've already had one bottle of water and I want another one.
I've already done my exercise this morning too...I'm calling what I do Aerobics walking...because I do alot of aerobic moves and stuff like that. It makes me feel better about what I'm doing and it's kinda a mix of zumba moves, walking in place and WATP stuff. I even threw in some crazy dance moves today too! LOL
I am up to 76 miles already. I started this 100 mile challenge with myself on December 29. I am on track to get my 100 miles on January 28 or 29...depending on how many miles I walk outside when I do the outside thing. I will definitely get an outside walk at the track tomorrow. I can't imagine that I could do 100 miles a month...but I'm willing to challenge myself to do it...so there you have it I just set myself a challenge. 100 miles a month. 1200 miles a year! Whew...I can do it. I can't wait to be skinny next Christmas!!!!
I'm going shopping with my momma today..Yesterday was her birthday so I'm taking her to lunch today. We are eating at Longhorn and having the grilled chicken strawberry salad. YUMMMMMMMI will NOT eat all of it so I should be making a pretty good choice with that...but tonight, we are going to Red Lobster and I am having the Coconut shrimp, because I have been wanting that so much. I can splurge one time can't I? I'm gonna try not to eat but one of those biscuits...I could try to eat NONE but I doubt that will work.
OK off to log my food for the day.

Today is Nick's bday so we are having bday donuts and kolaches for breakfast and pizza for the party at lunch:frown: Maybe I will bring a sandwich and stash it in the car and not eat pizza at the bowling alley. I don't really have too.
I was supposed to be headed to the gym right now, but my dh the last minute shopper he is, had to go to walmart to get Nick a present from him. Plus he had to pick up the donuts:laugh: Well now I know how many calories I will have to work off this a.m.
I may do the elliptical today instead of walking. It burns so many calories more, so we'll see. I like going in early on the weekends because it is empty, but by 9 a.m. it is packed. Oh well.

LOL Anyway, I can have 1 biscuit, that's all I will want anyway...but I'm having Coconut Shrimp because I have been craving it and I'm getting a side of broccoli with it. Anyway, I'm going to have a GREAT food day after all, and I will still have over 400 calories left I could eat if I wanted to.
My lunch turned out to be only 401 calories (I didn't eat the dressing, or the candied pecans on my salad...and WOW what a savings of calories that turned out to be. For breakfast I ended up only having a 20 calorie Aqua Full packet in my water, but really it satisfied me until we ate at 11...
We bought Lettie a big girl bed and a booster seat for the car...she's not a baby anymore. I know they are supposed to be 3 before they go into a booster, but she's well over the weight minimum and well over the height minimum...she will be 3 in April...and she's outgrown her car seat...so we went ahead. Target had both of these items on sale ($59 for the bed and $35 for the booster) It's a Graco and has a nice head rest on it...I think it will be good. I just can't see paying $159 for the really nice one...it really wasn't that much nicer...I looked at it just to make sure!
I hope the birthday party was fun, I wanna go bowling...I love the french fries at the bowlling alley! LOL

I live in S. LA it's a sin to eat at a red lobster, LOL. No really they closed the only one down here in BR about 20 years ago. Most "frozen" type seafood restaurants don't last around here if the open at all. I think they may have one in New Orleans but it's a bigger city.
Kolaches are a sausage wrapped in a biscuit. YUM.
The party was fun, I ate pizza and cake, and we love the fries from the bowling alley, that's what my husband ate. None of the 15 kids he invited showed up. Only 3 from the family , but he had fun anyway.
I ended up eating 6 slices of pizza BIG EYES :noway: :noway:
I did make it to the gym for a little workout then walked about half a mile this evening really slow because I was hurting. I am aiming for a new, fresh start tomorrow.
Glad you did so well and had fun. And we put Nicholas in the seat based on his size not his age, because a smaller seat won't hold him in a car accident. He is completely out of boosters now, but my niece who is older than him is still in one.0 -
Sounds like those 15 that were invited and didn't come are the losers!!!! Glad ya'll had a good time, a smaller number at the bowling alley usually turns out more fun anyway!

I had my coconut shrimp and OMG it was sooooo good! The only bad thing was that Lucy and I got the deal they have where you get the salad, an appetizer and entree for $29, and we got the fried cheese sticks...Lettie ate most of them, but I had 4 of them (they were very small ones not the bigger ones.) But I logged them...still had 94 calories left...so I'm ok I guess. It was worth it. I only had ONE biscuit so I did good there!
Tomorrow, I will go to the school and walk. I'm going to try to do 5 miles in an hour and half. I want to work up to longer walks on weekends when I have the time. Today I didn't but usually I'm just at home on Saturday's. We'll see what happens. At work I can't get but 3 miles in.
I have found a Zumba class that they offer at the community center here in town. It's on Monday and Friday evenings at 5:15 so I could actually go after work on those days...My friend told me about it so I'm gonna try to see how much they are and join in on that...sounds like fun. And it would be something different for me!

I got in 2.44 today. the pedometer said it was in 41 minutes but I didn't feel like i was walking that fast. But of course I was talking with my grandmother and when you walk and talk sometimes you move faster.
My eating has been a smidge better today. Not a smudge, but a smidge:happy:
Hoping to keep it nice and healthy, with low sodium for the rest of the week. My doc's appt. is Thursday. I moved to every 2 weeks now. We're almost there.0 -

Good job with the walking!! I just got finished doing my aerobic walking stuff...it said I burned 879 calories...probably not really but I put it anyway. I had a pretty bad eating day today but came in under calories because of the 879...but only 99 under! I ate over 2000 calories today...but I was sweating pretty big time quickly into my workout. So I think it was a good one. a little over an hour's worth...Said I went 4.5 miles and 10,000 steps! Not too shabby! I love the pedometer thing!
Tomorrow is my weigh in for the Scale Back Alabama...I'm thinking about weighting myself down in order to be able to lose the 10 lbs...I'm so afraid I won't lose it. I have 10 weeks to lose 10 lbs. I mean, I haven't lost but 5 lbs since Dec. 29...so It's not looking real good that I will lose 10 lbs. But I'm going to try, and I'm going to participate...I never have before, maybe the challenge will really get me working harder and eating better.
Also, my friend that has the lap band got a really large fill and she can't eat much anymore...she'll probably start losing big time again, and here I will be still fat...I can't handle that. I just can't. And I still see that fat girl in the mirror...the skinny girl went away...I need to find her again! That's bothering me more than the number on the scale.
Anyway, I think I'm going to go lay in the bed and just chillax! I earned it! LOLOL

5 miles this morning...inside walking. I was pumping it! And now I'm sweating!!!! Big Time! Cardio Trainer said I burned over 1000 calories, but my HRM said 425...and Endomonda says 515...I'm going with the 515 today...it just felt more right! LOL
I only have 14.5 miles left on my first 100 miles.
I'm thinking very seriously about going to the Zumba class tonight if I can possibly make it. I still need to find out the cost and all that good stuff...but I really want to go to it.
OK, off to get ready for work...Today is weigh in day also. I don't know how I'm gonna do that...I'm thinking about weighting down myself so I'll lose. I'm not doing very well in the lose category lately. Although I am really trying.
And I am starting to use the cardio trainer weight loss thing...I'm gonna see how it does this week before I actually buy it! LOL

I feel very pregnant today. I moved quite slow at the gym, but got in 1.55 miles. I'm doing the wii just dance 2 challenge on the boards, so I'm going to do that in a few minutes that burns about 50 calories so everything helps.
I weighed this morning, but I"m not counting it. I'll reweigh tomorrow. I've eaten so much sodium and crap thsi weekend, i'll wait till i flush most of it out before I beat myself up.:ohwell:
Try the Zumba, my cousin said she's been going and burns major calories and has fun. I"ve been once, it was hard at first but fun. I really had to watch my heart rate b/c it was getting up super high.0 -
Well I've decided to just weigh in in my shoes (they are heavy Birkenstock leather shoes - not the sandles) And my jacket...I may keep my keys in my pocket too! LOL That should be good for maybe 5 lbs! LOL
I've got my hair pulled back in a pony tail...I look frumpy today...but it's ok. I'm not trying to impress anybody! LOL
If I can find out the info I need on the class I will definitely be going to Zumba...I need something that is gonna raise my heart rate...it was sooo low this morning it kept going below my minimum...I hate when it does that! I need a good calorie burning exercise and this would be 2 days a week. Plus add it to what I've already done today, that will be at least 2 hours of cardio today! Can't hurt my heart can it?
Good job on your walk...I know you are getting close to the miserable stage. Are they going to do another sonogram any time? So you can see if he's really big or not? They kept doing them on Lucy because she measured so much further along...but Lettie weighed exactly what the sonogram said she would...8 lbs. (7 lbs 15 oz.)

Strep is going around his school as well as a vomit virus. Hopefully we can miss the train on both of those.

I am going to Zumba. I found out it's $5 per class or $25 for the month. I'm going to pay $5 and try it...I may not like it...so we'll try it before i buy a whole month! But I'm looking forward to it, and I think my hubby is going to cook tonight while I do it! Isn't that nice? I can come home and eat and crash!
And weigh in report. They wouldn't let me keep my shoes on. Said it was weight that they couldn't record. 8)P Anyway, I had on this little zip up hoodie so I put my cell phone in one pocket and my keys in the other...LOL, I got back to my office and weighed with all this in my pockets, then I took off the hoodie and weighed again...I was down 4.5 lbs!!! So there you go! LOL I did not like what I weighed by the way! The scales said 239 with all that on. So that means 235.5 GEEZ...My scales here at work said 237.8 with all that and 233.2 without it. My scales at home say 230 with me Nekkid! I'll take that!0 -
No Zumba for me this week. I got there and there was a sign that said, No Zumba classes for 1/24 and 1/28. I guess I will have to wait another week. And I was all pumped up and ready to go!
I made a good little individual meatloaf last night. I measured everything out. It was very good and I know that I can do things like that now. My hubby and son love this meatloaf I make with mushroom soup...I hate it. So I just took out 4 oz (I weighed it) of meat and used one of the egg whites and made my own kind with bbq topping. YUMMMMMM
I am not walking this morning. And it's raining so I suppose I will have to go walk at the coliseum track today. It kinda gets crowded around 12 but it will be ok. If I can get a good 30 minutes in I'll be fine. I must stretch well before I start. And then Wednesday they will have exercise class for our Scale Back Alabama thing. I did sign up to get a trainer so that will be interesting too! I have a feeling they will make me do weight training...which I am not a fan of, but I'm game to do any thing at this point if it will help me out. I am tired of being fat!
My friend with the lap band has already lost 7 lbs since last Wednesday. Today is her official weigh in day. She actually weighed more than I thought she obviously had gained weight...she was at 195 and I think she had gotten down to 180 before so see, it's not a fix...she doesn't exercise so it's gonna come back. I wish her success, that's an awful lot to go through to not lose...

5.5 miles of walking this morning...of course it was inside...but dang it, I did it non-the-less! I have 6 miles left to reach my 1st 100 miles. WOW!
Cardio trainer says I burned 1092 calories, HRM say 425, and Endomondo says 515...I'm going with Endomondo...a little more than my HRM but not near what CT says! LOL I think when I punched it in CK it said 517 so I left that. That's not important...but the mileage is. I'm very tired now.
Today is also the Learn & Burn session for our Scale Back Alabama. So I will be getting a little more exercise in today! Yay me! I'm rocking the exercise. Now if the weight will just drop off! :P

OK, just added 2 more miles to my walking! I'm down to 4. I will get that tomorrow!
I just went to the Learn & Burn. WOW...we just did general workout stuff like walk in place, then side step, then kick backs and stuff like Leslie Sansone, then she made us do push ups...I did 3 REAL ones, and 3 girl ones...then we did some squat stretches, then Plies and jump rope bouncing, and jumping jacks...more push ups...WOW Well worth my walking over there. I burned 374 calories according to my HRM. I've really got close to 1000 calories burned today!
I've lost 2 lbs according to my scales here in the office. Hopefully that will keep on going down! I'd love to lose 5 lbs this week!

I'm here. I've been quilting on my baby quilt to get it done and entering stuff into turbo tax so I have some of it done when the rest comes in.
I've walked 2.80 miles today. Mostly broken up but 2.45 was in mile increments.

We went to the new church tonight and really enjoyed it. Except when we left Nicholas threw a tirad fit screaming at us about being thirsty and I told him to calm down I had water in the car, but he was just screaming at us it was so embarrasing. I was just so dissapointed, because i'm sick of it. We can't do anything fun as a family without him ruining it. I know that is ugly, but that is how our vacations end up, church, school, daycare, going out to eat. He just complains and is so grumpy, like an old man. OH M G

Sorry that Nicholas is like that. Did you get him back on his meds are is he still off them? Do you think the new baby is maybe making him act up a little more? Maybe he realizes it's all about to change for him. I'm not a psychologist though so who knows...psycho maybe but not a psychologist! LOL
My plan was to knock out my 4 miles this morning...but I slept too late...So I got in 2.5. I will walk at lunch, real walking and get the other 1.5 + in And tomorrow I'm going to buy my new charms! YAY!!! And start on my next 100 miles!
I am very sore from the workout yesterday, it was totally worth going...I have recommended that all my friends also go! It was fun too! I love a good workout! Next time, I'm putting my hair in a pony tail though!!!!
My scales here are not showing any loss, Actually they are showing a gain, I think they are broken! LOL

YAY CONGRATULATIONS on meeting your 100 mile goal.
I didn't do any workouts today. Had a dr.'s appt, up 2 lbs in 2 weeks, not surprised mostly fluid. I bought my babies car seat with a coupon and got a great deal. I went to the mall and did some light walking, but have eaten really bad today.
Fried oysters, catfish, hush puppies, and fries...and a coke.
Oh yeah, I never go to the mall and guess what? they have a sign up for something new coming to our mall.....can you guess...

I think today is going to be a rest day! I think I actually physically need one. I have done walking/running/jogging/aerobics or something every day for the last 3 weeks with no break. I need one. I was so tired yesterday that I went to sleep at 8 and woke up at 6 this morning. My muscles are still sore but not like yesterday. I may do some of those calisthenics tonight when I get home just to keep my muscles going! But I'm not starting my walking count again until tomorrow! so I will leave my little walking man right where he is for today! LOL
I measured my waist this morning because I'm feeling skinny. I'm officially down 2 inches on my waist. I started at 44 inches and today it was 42. I can squeeze it a little to get to 41" but I'm trying to stay right. My neck has not changed....my hips are 42.5 at my butt and my leg hips are 40.5 My waist is always bigger than my hips...but not today!!!!! YAY! So I'm seeing things start changing! And I know the weight is gonna start falling off before much longer. My body is just rearranging things so it can!!! ( right?) LOLOL

My promise today is to eat at least 5 servings of fruits or veg today.
I haven't had veg in a couple of days.
Hoping to stay within my calorie target. I do have my SIL's baby shower today, oh fun,
i had some pain in my belly after going ot the gym and walking yesterday. I'm hoping it will pass and nothing serious. I might need a maternity belt.
I was hoping not to have to buy one as they are expensive, but my belly is so loose at the bottom where I was big then lost weight and from my previous section.0 -
I only have 8.65 to get to 50 miles for January. That is about 2.8 miles a day. That is my goal for the next 3 days so hope my belly feels better.0

Good promise for today. I don't know what my promise for today will be. I eat plenty of veggies, I'm not sure about Fruits...I don't usually have many of them. Our house doesn't have much food at all in it. My pantry is full but I don't think I could actually make a meal out of it at all...It's a bunch of hodge podge! LOL
Fruit is not something I eat. I don't ever buy any except for apples for Lettie...she loves them. I'm just not a big fruit eater. but I do love my veggies. I think I'll cook a big old pot of pintos again today. Those are soooo good to me.
I am having problems with sodium too. I've really got to watch that. This morning my fingers feel like sausages. I feel like if I could get this fluid off of me I'd lose 10 lbs. Literally. I'm going to take a water pill this morning, and see what happens. Maybe I have been drinking too much water again, remember my doc told me not to drink unless I was thirsty. But if I am drinking it is because I'm thirsty...so I don't know.
I just think I'm eating too much salt and stuff with sodium already in it. Plus yesterday was Hot Wings and Chicken Fingers...I knew better but did it anyway. So I'm paying for it today!
My plan is to walk 4 miles today! A REAL 4 miles outside. Its supposed to be in the high 60's today. Gotta take advantage of that right?
You can do the 50 miles...just don't go at breakneck speed...just walk as it feels comfortable to you. I did that Thursday...I was tired and hurting but I just started walking. Ended up I was walking 3 mph without even realizing it.

I just walked 4.2 miles. And I feel FANTASTIC! my shins didn't hurt at all. I walked 3.5 mph and did it in 1 hour and 11 minutes. I just walked. Didn't jog any. I am ready for my next 100 miles. I felt so guilty not doing anything yesterday. I don't know if I can take rest days! LOL This morning I got up at 8 a.m. Yes I slept really late for me. Not sure what is going on there, but I must have been tired and needed it. Anyway, I got up and cleaned. I cleaned up my room, and vacuumed it. It was in serious need of a good cleaning, dusting and all. Then I tackled my living room. I picked up, dusted, cleaned off my mantel (it was about to take off with CRAP that was piled up on it!) swept the floor, moved all the furniture and swept under it...then I mopped it all. I cleaned the foyer floor, cleaned up my dining room mess. (I still don't have a dining room table.) mopped it all then I swept and mopped my kitchen too and the hallway going to the laundry room...WHEW...I haven't done that kinda cleaning in a while!
I have not eaten anything today. I know that is not good, but dang it's already 3 p.m. if I eat now I won't be hungry for dinner. So I'm going to take a shower and go buy my charms for my 1st 100 miles. It's 70º outside and a WONDERFUL day!

Just did 5.1 miles! I'm tired but I could have kept going. I love when I have time to enjoy my walks, and go further than normal. I love really walking outside. Not that I don't like getting mileage in any way I can. But there is just something about walking out in God's country! I love it!
We had a dinner at church today and I'm sure I over did it, I need to log my food but surely the 721 calories I just burned will cut into it! Surely!
Back to work tomorrow. We don't have church tonight so I can relax the rest of the day. tomorrow is Zumba. I also have a dentist appointment tomorrow afternoon. I'll probably get up early and do a few miles in the house. Just in case I don't get to do any other exercising.

It has been raining here all day, just a steady light rain all day. I got up and went walking anyway. Let Nicholas play in the mud and water, then came home. I didn't do much yesteray I was just so exhausted I was pooped.
My eating has been pretty bad. I've eaten a whole pacakage of double stuff oreo's since friday:mad::sad:
But now they are gone. I need to eat my veggies, I can't imagine double stuff oreo's give me the energy I need.

I saw your pictures of Nicholas playing (falling) in the mud! I bet he had a ball! That is a good mama to let her son play in the mud! Good for you for going on out and walking even in the rain. 15 miles this week is AWESOME!

Yes I'm going to dream about me and you being 3 lbs thinner too. Maybe if we both dream it we will see it. I am also praying for you, pause to pray, and now I've prayed about you losing weight and maintaining a healthy active lifestyle now and for the rest of your life.
I put on my rubber boots before it got dark and added another 1.25 miles onto todays total. That gave me 16 for the week, even though it didn't seem like it.
I have a little over 4 miles to do tomorrow to reach my 50 miles for January.
Another day and hubby still hasn't cleaned out that room yet. He's packed it all up now, he just seems to have trouble moving it out of there to the storage, AGH!!!:noway:0 -
Oh thank you so much for the prayers. You know. I talk to God daily about my struggles. But He gives me peace that it's all gonna work out. But I still feel like it's gonna start dropping off of me soon.
And yes, tomorrow we will BOTH be 3 lbs lighter! I claim it! It will happen!
We are just gonna have to light a fire under Rick to get him to move that stuff...you need to be able to get that room ready for little Rocco!
