Good job eating the veggie dinner! And for the extra mile! I know you don't want to eat like you are, but don't beat yourself up too terribly much. After you have the baby, you will be ready to get in the swing of things again, and get back to incredible eating habits. You don't need to be stressing over this now. 35 days and you will have a precious new baby boy to love on and feed and nourish!

I too walked another 1 mile. My car was at the tire place getting new tires. Instead of getting someone to take me to get it, I just walked. It was exactly 1 mile. LOL Then I went to the tanning bed! Life is good!

See that is what change is all about. Walking that extra mile, when you could have had someone drive you. great choice.

I ate my veggie dinner, then ate 2 large bowls of raisin bran. Don't know why, guess just bored.

Today is a new day right.

I watched Biggest loser last night for the first time in forever. What's up with the new trainers? I heard JM was leaving the show, I just quit watching it b/c it is so commercialized and not realistic. REally 103 lbs in 7 weeks. That is just crazy.

I'm watching this weeks Heavy in a few, I DVR'd it just in case I forget about it on Monday nights.

Another day of washing and cleaning clothes, I slacked yesterday after washing 2 sets of sheets and that put my whole operation behind.

I did the Denise Austin low impact this morning, just a quick 20 mins, b/c of my weight and being out of shape, my hr stayed high so it burned 230 calories. Not bad. My HRM hadn't been used in months.:blushing:

AWESOME calorie burn! It's good that you have a low impact thing you can do...isn't that what you are supposed to be doing anyway, walking and low impact aerobics are excellent for you! I can't wait to see how you snap back after you have Rocco!

And there are worse things you could have eaten than Raisin Bran...at least it will get your innards going! LOL

Well I did 1.70 miles. I was doing great then all of a sudden my stomach on the sides started hurting so bad. I haven't had that sensation or pain yet. I even had my maternity girdle on. The usualy pain wasn't there. It felt like the muscles and skin on each sid of my stomach were being torn from my sides.

AT one point I wasnt' sure if I was going to make it home. i only had like .25 of a mile to make it and that took me over 5 minutes.

I won't be going walking with out my little walker Nicholas anymore. He usually rides his electric scooter or bike when I walk. I can always send him home if I need help. Of course I have my cell phone too, but it makes you feel better when someone is with you.:smooched:

One night I left to go walking without him and by the time he realized I was gone it was too late for him to catch up, about 15 minutes went by and my DH called my cell, when I answered it was Nicholas wanting to know where I was at. Apparently he waited and waited for me to come back by the house b/c I said I was going to make the loop and when I didn't he got worried. He told me never do that again.

So far eating is on target. Keep me in your prayers to make it past the afternoon binge.

You are getting so close. I used to do that too when I walked. It was just an excruciating pain, the friend that I walked with, who was also pregnant (we delivered the same day actually) didn't get near as big as me and she never had problems...of course her baby only weighed 6 lbs 5 oz. and mine ended up 9 lbs. So I'm sure the size of Rocco is playing a part here too! You had a good calorie burn yesterday, did you do something besides walking later on? I meant to do some aerobic inside walking last night but I never did it. I was just tired. I've been really really tired the last few days, I suppose it's Aunt Flo but can't be 100% sure. Maybe I just need a rest day. Maybe tomorrow will be a no workout day!

I'm supposed to meet with the trainer today, we'll see if that happens. LOL

    Stay tuned....

I just weighed at work. 221.8. That's down from 237.6...15.8 lbs lost Since January 24. WOW! I'm amazed with myself! I'm still a good bit away from my low of 211 but I'll get there!!! Next week I will get to weigh officially again. I'm kinda excited to see how I do!

I just noticed that I started this thread on 10/10/10...LOL And we are still going strong. Encouragment is a wonderful thing in this journey and I'm glad to know that I have an accountability buddy! Thank you for being here with me!!!!! ♥ Ya!!!!

OK, I took a rest day yesterday. But I didn't eat near enough food yesterday. I think I only got about 1000 calories. But I wasn't hungry either. So I'm not worried about it.

Today I am sore from Thursday's workout. It got progressively worse all through the day yesterday. I left work at 3:30, came home the guy came to get the kitty out at the same time I was leaving to go with Riley's girlfriend to the meeting for cheerleaders. When we got back to my house at 4:30 the kitty was out and I had a hole in my wall. LOL He's coming back next week to fix the hole, AND finish my basement walls!!! We never got our basement finished out...it's got some sheetrock up but not all of it. It will still have no ceiling...those cost a lot...that will have to wait...but I will be able to paint the walls down there and it will start looking finished anyway! YAY so out of trials come great things!!!

Anyway, The plan is to walk 5 miles today. I also plan to run some intervals in there, but I may have to take Lettie with me so that might put a damper on the running. I don't have a running stroller.

I did it! I did 5 miles today. My son, Riley went with me also so I didn't have to deal with Lettie by myself. He never complained so I guess it was ok for him to walk that far...he's young and skinny so I can see how it was easy for him. Plus he trains every day for football. the weather today is absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed being outside.

More good news. I have lost enough weight that my ring size has gone from an 81/2 to 7 1/2....I tried on my original wedding band and engagement ring today, I haven't been able to wear them for a long time. A really long time. I can wear them comfortably now. :drinker:

I'm also wearing a t-shirt that I have never been able to wear because it was just too tight. It fits good now!

    YAY!

Oh that is cool that Riley went with you to help. And that you got 5 miles.

That is awesome about the rings and clothes. I'm sure it is a great feeling. You are going to be in such great shape come vacation they won't know what to do with you:smooched:

The weather was nice, we walked down to the towns mardi gras parade. I had a good time, except my skinny son complained about "his feet hurting" OMG I am 9 months pregnant and I didn't complain that much.."I'm thirsty, my feet hurt, i need to rest" I think I heard that 30 times. Then coo coo came with us and she feeds off that crap and she starts babying him. The 2 of them together are so full of drama.

So the walk back home was a mess. 10 mins of complaining, drama, and me wanting to scream. I ended up carrying a 35 pound bag of beads home until my stomach couldn't take it. I won't go without my DH next time. I was sorely dissapointed in Nicholas' behavior. But he was on the attitude and ignoring train all day yesterday. It was just one of those days.

On a good note our 4 year old gold fish got his new tank yesterday. I set up a 20 gallon tank for him and he is super happy. It makes him look small now, but I know he will grow with this one too. He was getting sick in the 10 gallon, just too small for his ginormous butt.

My goal this week is to not go over my calorie target each day. Just 1 week, I know I can do it. I had another 2 lb gain from last week:huh: I know I"m retaining fluid but geeze.

    Goals this week:

Exercise 3 times this week for 45 minutes and meet, not exceed calorie target for food.

    :flowerforyou:

Happy Monday Lu, hope the weather doesn't get to rough up there today.

Good doable goals! And just think...you only have 4 more weeks...so the most you will gain is 8 more lbs! ;) then it's all downhill from there! ♥ ya!

I'm very motivated by the MFP thing telling me that in 5 weeks I could weigh 199.1. I'm shooting for it! I also realized that if I lost 18 lbs every month, that by May I will be at or near my goal weight! That's before I go to the beach...how awesome would that be? I do know that I am going to give it my best shot to be there! I've learned that eating this way isn't so bad at all. I'm getting all the nutrients I need and I'm pretty much eating what I want to!

I bought some turkey sausage last night, I'm going to pan fry it up and cut it up and put it in my pinto beans tonight. Sounds pretty good to me! We'll see. I'm not sure how I will like turkey sausage...that's kinda scary! LOL

Have an awesome Monday Katrina! I'm hoping the storms (if they are) are short and sweet and get on out of here!

I got my exercise. I walk so slow these days, but hey I got in 2 miles for the day.

I'm having a veggie dinner with sweet potato, because my heartburn is terrible and I made chicken spagetti.

I know I will put one day down as a check.

Excellent job! 2 miles is a long way! And EXCELLENT on eating the veggies for dinner. A sweet potato is one of the best things ever to eat. I need to get me some to bake in the oven just to have on hand. My maw maw used to always have them in the oven when we went to her house! I love them.

I can't believe I actually signed up for the 5k today. I have been threatening to do one for 4 years now, and this is the first one I finally did sign up for.

Now to get busy getting my speed up. I really want to finish in less than 45 minutes. I know I have done 3.2 miles in 43:43 I want to at least do that.

Tonight I ate at Applebee's. I had dinner with a longtime friend of mine, we eat out about once a month. I suggested Applebee's because they have the dinners under 550 calories. I had the grilled chicken and island rice. It had Steamed broccoli and zucchini and carrots too..they were mostly raw, just warm. I like them like that. And yummy. It was delicious and 370 calories for my whole plate! AWESOME. our waiter asked if we saved calories for dessert and I asked if they had anything less than 200 calories, he shook his head and walked away, then he turned around and asked if we'd like him to bring us some fruit. YES! So he brought us some cherries and strawberries and pineapple. It was about 60 calories of stuff for each of us. That was nice of him to do. Anyway, those meals are pretty good for low calories! The sodium was kinda high but it is nice to have somewhere to go out where you don't feel all guilty! or overstuffed!

    ok I'm done now!

I just found out my niece is having a little baby boy in July! It's her second boy also! We will now have 6 great-grandkids on my hubby's side! His parents are only 68 & 70...WOW! My parent's only have Lettie. They are 66 & 68. I remember my grandparents were that old when I was born, I think they were anyway! LOL really they were more like 60. I was hoping she would have a girl, but really that leaves my "other" family name open for my daughter or son to use one day! :-)

you are doing great with all this walking and exercise. I'll have to tell you later what happened with my sister and her trainer Monday.

I'm going no to low sodium today. The swelling in my feet from all the processed foods is crazy. I can't even feel the little toes on my right foot.

Congratulations on another boy. My grandmother had all girl granddaughters except for 1 and now has all boy great grandsons except for 1.

I wish my DH's husbands parents were any kind of grandparent, but they are the kind that do their own thing and grandchildren are just in the way. Well really they do nothing but sit at their house all day. They don't vacation, travel, shop, eat out, nothing. They have become hermits. Really sad.

I don't think they even know when our baby is due. They haven't gotten us anything for the baby yet either, my husband said if they ask I could tell them he and Nicholas need "grandparents". It's sad b/c there aren't any on my side, my grandmother is his great grandmother and she's been out of it lately.

Oh yes, I love good trainer/client stories. I hope it was something good and not bad!

I just went and weighed. down 6 more lbs! 18 total now in 5 weeks! Woooo Hooooo. My friend that runs the wellness center said they were going to use me as their "story" loser! LOL I"m not sure if anyone else is as gung ho about it as I am or not...but I will be the pin up girl! LOL

That is sad about your hubby's parents not really being there. They don't realize what they are missing. I love my grand baby! And hope that one day we'll have more. You know I don't really remember my grandparents being there for me as a kid...I think by the time we got there they were done with all that...I only have about 36 cousins (for real) and I'm one of the last 10 of them....so...and on my mom's side...I was 12 when my moms mother died. I do remember her being around us more. She would come stay with us even though she only lived in the next town...

I hope everything is ok with you! It's been 2 days since anyone posted anything!

I think my weight loss is slowing down. I haven't lost any weight in 4 days. LOLOL And now, I'm having the shin problem and I'm going to have to stop walking for a few days. I will have to go to the gym and do the bike and elliptical. But I will continue to burn 500 calories a day if I can! (and I can!)

    OK. That's all!

Hey you aren't supposed to be weighing in but once a week so you are doing awesome.

I haven't been on too much, I can't sit at the computer for longer than 20-30 mins, which is still probably too long, because my feet swell. Wishing i had a laptop, ipad, or fancy phone:laugh: I really wish I had one for the hospital. They have wireless internet and it would be a great way for me to stay in touch with my friends and that to me would be a great way to keep my spirits up and help fight ppd.

SO I may have to see if my sister will let me borrow one of hers she has all 3. I guess that's what happens when you make lots of dough.

I did get up and walk some yesterday, not real fast, but some and I played the Wii for a while. Made me feel better. Trying to keep those positive moods going:flowerforyou:

Yes girl! You must get your sis to let you borrow one of those items...at least an iPod touch! Anything to stay connected while you are in there!

I figured it is bothering you to sit at the computer. It bothers me and I'm not preggo!

I think I have come up with a plan to get my exercising in. Tonight I'm going to do my weight machine and do Anthony's workout. I will include my push ups and sit ups and all that jazz too. I will be able to burn 50 calories easy with that. Tomorrow I will go to the gym here on campus (it's FREE) and I'll elliptical and ride the bikes until I burn at least 500 calories. And Sunday, I'll probably do the same. And that will give my shin a nice rest!

I got the map for the 5k I signed up for. Not going to be too bad...mostly flat except for one place and it goes up hill for a short while. It really looks like they tried to make it all flat. LOL She also told me that it was very walker friendly, so that is good too!

We had to take Lettie to the ER this morning. She busted her head open. They used the glue thing and she's all fixed up now! Amazing. The most amazing thing was that we were only in there for 30 minutes total! WOW!

poor lettie. I'm glad they didn't have to put stiches.

Hey and you are prepared for that 5K, I"ve never gotten maps before and wished I would have, DOH. I remember a couple with hills, HELLO we live in S. LA there aren't supposed to be hills....and they liked to have killed me. I think had I known it would have made it better.

I have 23 days left. AGH, still no name for the baby yet. My sil should be having her baby by the end of the week. She is due Friday. She was hoping it would've happend by now she has not been very happy about this pregnancy, being 41 and so unplanned.

I walked 1.7 miles today. The weather here is beautiful much prettier than friday and saturday for sure.

The walk was so slow it probably took me 45 mins or more to walk that far. I started having pains on my left side really bad.

I changed my pregnancy ticker to show my deliver date instead of due date. Since I know what day it will be. 23 days left.

Wow! I didn't realize your sister in law is 41 years old...There is a reason God made it where people usually have babies when they are young! A guy I work with, his wife was 43 when their last one was born...he was a surprise too... my coworker was 46...WOW I was 42 when Lettie was born. It's been rough on me. I can't imagine having a baby at that age.

I did a great workout yesterday in my basement. Tonight, Lucy and I went to the University and worked out at the REc Center. I did elliptical (which by the way I HATE) and tried to walk some on the treadmill but my leg hurt so I quit. Then I rode the recumbent bike. My calorie burn was sucking...so we went down to the weight machine room. I did some squats and some arm work. I couldn't get a good burn going. I did some squats and some bicycles, mountain climbers and push ups. I burned a whopping 200 calories...HORRIBLE. I ate subway for supper. I went over on my sodium by 500 g not too terrible. I was well under calories and over on my fats by 16...Oh well. I haven't lost any weight this week at all. I may have even gained. That will be a bummer since I worked so hard to get this far. We'll see Wednesday!

    23 days left. WOW!

My SIL told me last week that she was concerned about her bonding with this baby because she still doesn't want another kid. That it just wasn't something she wanted. I am sure she will do fine though.

I keep gaining. Every monday I get on the scale and it is up 2-4 lbs AGH:sad:

I was hoping with only 3 weeks left I could not gain any weight because I have plenty of fat stores for the baby. My fluid has gone down.

Yesterday was a good eat day until night fell, then we ate popeye's:sick: It gave me the worse heart burn. If I get my night time eating under control I could probably stop gaining and maybe even lose a half a pound.

SOrry about the calorie burn that does get dissapointing and don't worry too much about losing this week at weigh in, it will go down again i'm sure.

Just think...you only have what, 3 more Mondays? WOW Now, quit stressing about weight! It will come off, and you know it will. Have you given any more thought to breastfeeding? I know you weren't sure...but I swear that is what helped me melt off my weight after I had my son. And I mean it literally melted off of me. Could have been because he ate all the time! LOL

I was too busy feeding him to be eating myself. :) Plus I swear it keeps them from being sick. You don't have to completely BF...you can supplement too. But I'm not trying to push you into it...just making suggestions! (I'm a huge advocate of BF!)

I am going for a walk today. I have stayed off my leg all weekend. I can't stand it anymore. This is the first weekend that I haven't gotten in 11 miles in a long long time. I want to get at least 400 calories burned during my walk today too! I can do that. I may walk at lunch AND after work. I have to have a 500 calorie a day burn or I won't lose.

I weighed in my office. Same. No gain, no loss. I will take that. I have to be good for the next two days and I may come out with a 1 lb loss. Which I will definitely take! No loss at all will kill me though, I gotta be honest. I've done well with my eating, even on my cheat days. And by cheating, I mean I ate red meat. measured out, lean, red meat. So there!

    That's all.

Hope you are doing ok Kat. I know it's hard to just get on here now. It's so close to time isn't it?

Just checking in with my weight for today. I was 213.5 :) 14 more lbs and I can say good bye to the 200s!!!!!! I would love to be able to do that in the next 4 weeks (what I have left of Scale Back Alabama)

My plan to day is take a 6 - 8 mile walk. It's going to be beautiful today!

I'm so proud of your weight loss. Keep it up I will need the motivation after the baby comes. I think you can so do 6-8 miles. I did 8 1 time when I was walking as much as you are and it was a great feeling when I accomplished it. You are doing so great.

I haven't been getting on much the past couple of days have been rough. My SIL had her baby Thursday he is very cute. I was kind of aggrevated with her because she has been updating me every week on her progress but doesn't tell my husband or I that she was being induced. I just thought that was a little *****y. So we didn't know until after the baby was born. Made my hubby really mad, with her and his parents. Oh well. They treat him like that all the time why would anything change, Ha:laugh:

But the baby is precious and like I told him that's the only one I care about anyway:tongue:

It made me excited to get to see our baby. I think we are getting closer to a name. Hopefully by this weekend we will have one.

I did it! I walked 8.25 miles in 2 hours 22 minutes. I jogged some but didn't over do. I averaged almost 4 mph...not quite, but almost! I burned 1448 calories too. Then I went to the tanning bed and the man put me in the High pressure bed because it gets so hot, he knew I needed it! (you usually have to pay extra to get in that bed, but he just gave it to me!!!!) I'm about to go take a bath in my jetted tub. That will feel good!

I almost went for 10 miles but I didn't want to push it since I've just gotten my shins to feeling normal. My next long walk I think I'm going to try to walk to Piedmont from Jacksonville, that's 12 miles. I will get someone to meet me there so I can walk straight there and not have to walk back. I always feel more motivated to keep going until I turn around. LOL I feel so good for having gone that far! I've walked 8 miles before about 11 years ago and never ever thought I'd do it again, but I did!

Congratulations on being a new aunt again. That is pissy what they did by not telling you though. I need stats...how much did he weigh and all that? Are you telling them when you have your baby? LOL What did they name him? She didn't steal one of your names did she? How are you feeling? I can't wait!!!! :)

He weighed 8 lbs 6 oz. her largest baby yet. I think she was diabetic and didn't tell anyone the whole truth. I think she was thinking he was bigger than Nicholas...ha, why try to compete. I make big ole babies.

My DH doesn't was so aggrevated he said he wasn't reminding them or telling them anything. Like they care anyway. My MIL still hasn't held her new grandson. They really have some issues. His name is Wyatt. One of the family names from my husbands side of the family. She always uses family names. That isn't a name we would've picked. We thought about going with a family name this time as well, but it's not like my dH's family has traditions or anything. It really wouldn't have much meaning behind it, if you understand what I'm saying.

I know what you mean about 1 way walking. When I did my 6 miles that time the walk back was the worst. I tried to plan out the route so it would be a there and back, but it still made for a tedious walk. I Think it would be great to walk there and back. Make sure you are staying safe, are reflective, and have some mace or something.
