Was anybody else starving today! It seemed like a every few hours my stomach would be screaming at me to feed it. It hasn't been this bad in a LONG time. Overall I did pretty good eating today. I ate when I was hungry but not enough to feel stuffed.

I am on cycle day 25 today. Trying to kep my mind off of all the possibilities and praying that next week come and goes fast....and that AF won't show up!

Baby dust to all that are TTC this month!

Good Luck!!! I am on CD 22... Waiting and hoping but don't think this is going to be the month, just don't "feel" it if that makes any sense.

    Good morning all!

I survived the stairs! My legs hurt quite a bit this morning, but not too bad overall - I ended up burning 250 calories in 20 minutes - not bad at all!

With that said - I stepped on the scale this morning, and it says I've gained bak the weight I had lost..... ugh. Hopefully it'll improve before Monday.

TTC - I thought for sure I would see a temp spike this morning, but I didn't. I have no idea what is going on.... but I figure we'll just keep doing the deed until something happens. I'm not getting + OPKs anymore, so I have no idea....

On the plus side, DH and I are running away to a cottage for the week end - it should be fun!

Happy Friday everyone! With the wonderful time off work the weekends bring, the bad eating habits typically approach me too. So here’s my weekend plan (I’m telling you guys it so that come Monday I’ll have to be accountable as to whether I followed it or not): Saturday is my free from workout day cause I’ve managed to workout everyday this week, but that means I need to watch what I eat. So I’ll do breakfast at home and bring a snack with me on the road (speaking of on the road, I know I’ll have Timmy’s, but it’ll be my first this week) then I’ll have lunch at my parents and supper at my cousins. That’s two meals I can’t control, I have a feeling I’ll be over on cals for Saturday. But Sunday I’m back home and plan on going to the gym and having a healthy eating day.

Heather – I think the seat bothers me so much because I use it! My gym doesn’t have a spinning class and the bike I use is at home not at the gym. Because I live in an upper duplex (the joys of city life) I don’t stand on my bike because it makes too much noise when I do. Thanks anyway for the suggestions, I’ll try to find a fitness store that would carry seats and see if that helps at all.
BTW I hope you’re feeling better!

Ewwodrn – Welcome and I sorry to hear about your loss. I’m sure that this site and thread will be able to offer you all the support you need on both loosing those 5 lbs and TTC for your next child.

Ron – I know how you feel, there’s always something that seems to take precedence over myself in terms of spending money! I see something I like in a store and all I can think of is how I need a new kitchen table, how we need to put on winter tires on the car, how I have x-mas coming up and not to mention student loans that could be paid off sooner than later if I just don’t spend that $20 on myself. I hate feeling guilty for spending just a little bit of money on myself. I’m glad to hear you’ll be able to do it guilt free, yeah GC’s!

Jalara – I’ve not seen any temp spikes either! Last month I thought I was just doing it wrong and so I scrapped it, but after talking with my cousin last night who never saw much of any fluctuation in her temp while she was TTC I felt a bit better (because she now has a beautiful baby boy (well not so much a baby anymore). So don’t worry too much about it. I guess the fluctuation is smaller in some women.
    Enjoy the cottage!

Jalara, you could msg me your chart link and I can take a look. I got my temp spike 3 days after my +opk so it could still be coming or you could have geared up to O and then for some reason you didn't. That's why temping is helpful.

I'm going out of town this weekend. I managed to work out every day this week (so far) so I can take the weekend off. I doubt my grandmother would appreciate me bouncing around her house to my videos (well and they're on the laptop which will stay home with my husband). I imagine she'll be forcing food on me like crazy, but hopefully we'll stick with sandwiches for the non-large meals. I'll get to see her and my dad's parents. My paternal grandfather turns 90 a week from Monday and my paternal grandmother is 96, so I'm not sure they're long for this world. They're going downhill very quickly after remaining strong for such a long, long time. I should have gone home the next weekend to see the rest of the family, but this just worked out better.

TTC front: Just waiting.... and wish progesterone didn't make me feel so crappy.

hi ladies, I was on this group before but then lost interest since I wasnt ttc yet. I got my mirena out on tuesday and officially we are TTC which is scarey and nerv wrecking even though I want another so bad and we are so sure its the right thing for us. Anyone else a former mirena user. I got it out and it seems that AF is early today which is fine because it was gonna come sunday anyways and that means my fertile days are going to be earlier then expected

HI I had my Mirena taken out the 9th of this month, it was actually coming out on its own. I didn't have a period the whole time it was in and haven't bleed since it was taken out. I had a couple of drops of blood on toilet tissue for a couple of days and that was it. I am really wondering what is going on.

A lady on the babycenter group for TTC after the iud got pregnant the first month and she didnt have a regular period after it was removed so there is hope. I had my period the whole time I had mirena. This is day two of AF and its heavey which is not usual. I usually spot for 3 days , heavey for 2 days about and spot the rest of the 7-8 days. Maybe I will skip the annoying spotting for 3 days before hmm here's hoping right.

Had a blah day yesterday. Still feeling a bit run down. I did do my 55 mins of treadmill dance cardio and 40 mins of toning with tracy anderson...Then I had to make a mad dash to my appt at the salon so I didn't get a chance to eat (and that is where it all went down from there....). My hair is fabulous and my hour massage was a dream but I got out 4 hours later and was ravenous! I called my sister and asked her if she wanted to eat and she said yes. So we went and had mexican food (our favorite). We then "had" to have dessert....so we had ice cream. Then I went over to the neighbors and had a few glasses of wine and snacky foods at the neighborhood game night. I'm so glad I got in my workout and this morning I'm only up 2 lbs (with the salty mexican food and alcohol that is REALLY good, I usually gain at least 5lbs). I know one of my biggest triggers is allowing myself to get that hungry. I always carry with me almonds or a banana to cool off the fiery beast of hunger when it begins to show....but I was unprepared and thus had a unsuccessful day.

But alas today is a new day. I'm going to do 45 minutes of dance treadmill workout and an hour of toning. I am going into the city with friends today and we are going shopping and then out out to dinner and then to a movie tonight. I've already planned my meal and it isn't that bad. I'm hoping to stay within my calories or very close to.

Only 5 more days until I'm with my hubby again! Can't wait to see him. We should have about a week together before AF shows up and I begin the evil creature that is named Clomid!

Welcome newcomers and not so newcomers! lol! Hope everyone has a successful day!

MOrning girls! I'm reporting to you from my phone bc we still don't have internet. Got a positive opk this morning! Cd18, probably won't have any bding for the next few days, hubs um..man parts are out of commission...funny story lots of alcohol was involved and now he has rug burn on it lol...I'll have a LOT of catching up later, it is so hard to read everyone's posts from my phone!

I hope everybody had a happy Saturday today. Mine was pretty good although I woke up at 6 am with a killer headache, stumbled to the kitchen and took 2 pills with a sip of water. Went back to bed and promptly fell back asleep. I had to be up at 7 am to get the kids where they need to be. I told them I felt horrible and if they want to be on time, I needed help. They were angels and pitched right in.

I still have not started my AF and should have two days ago. I haven't bleed since my IUD removal (which was a few spots of blood) and feel my cycle is all messed up. I am noticing weird things about me that I can't figure out such as my gums are now bleeding when I brush my teeth and I am starving lately. I have to get back on track so when my cycle get straightened out I can be as healthy as possible for our future baby.

This being healthy is very hard for me. SIGH!

So I'm confused...I realize it will get straightened out when af arrives in a few week's, but I put my +opk into my fertility friend calendar and it changed me from a 27day cycle to a 34 day cycle bc I apparently I don't ovulate until well past the predicted times? I mean I can o on cd19/20 and still be on a 27day cycle right??

Had a great time at our ball last night! I'll post pictures once I get the internet working! Eating yesterday was alright, today was decent too. HAven't logged it bc I hate logging it on my phone. Headed to pick up sushi for dinner and movie night with the hubster (watching the hangover...apparently it's a crime against humanity that I haven't seen it yet...)

So the reason it put you on a 34 day cycle is because you are supposed to get your period 14 days after you O. My doctor told me that the number of days from the day I start my period to the day I O could be different each month, but your period will always start 14 days after O. Not sure how completely accurate that is, but that is what my Dr. said. Fertility frienddid the same thing to me when I was using it too.
Now, as for the movie.....I didn't think it was everything everybody was making it out to be. I mean, tere were funny parts, but is definetly not something I would want to watch more then once or twice.

So, I am starting my day out feeling a little bummed....woke up with that bloated feeling. Praying that AF really wont show up but losing hope quickly:sad: I am on CD 28 so it could def. come anyday now. I was really feeling good about this cycle too! What a perfect time to get PG. We could tell everybody at Christmas and we would be due i August before all the really could weather comes! Praying that my body is just being deceitful....

I'm going to call shinanigans on that(not on you, just what my fertility friend does)...bc I got a +opk on CD16 so I should have o'd on CD17-19 and af came on CD27 so about 10days later...I guess I shouldn't worry too much since this is only month two of tracking but I thru off all my predictions for when I should o in the coming months....

Don't fret about it Alisa - it's considered normal to have a luteal phase anywhere from 10 to 16 days. If it's shorter than that though, you may want to see your dr.

btw: do you temp? A temperature shift is the only TRUE way to know what day you ovulated. OPK tests can show a positive a few days before O so you'll never really know how long your normal LP is unless you temp,
  • AlisaToth
    AlisaToth Posts: 414 Member
I have not been temping just OPK testing...although now i might start....I realize for this month it may be too late bc i should see a spike either today or tomorrow since I got the +OPK yesterday....but we do have next month to make sure i AM in fact O'ing (and not just gearing up to O and then not...) next month is the last practice month before we start really trying...I like that FF gives predictions bc it will help me plan how many cycles we will have to try (I'm thinking we have 2 good cycles...but not if i have a 34day cycle like it says right now!)

Last night the hubs and I were sitting on the couch watching a movie (the hangover...I don't understand the hype either...it was funny and a bunch of one liners that my husband and I will now use repetitively around the house...but not as awesome as everyone made it out to be...) and P was in his room watching cartoons and he kept yelling "MOM!!!! I'M HUNGRY" then 5 min later..."MOM!!! I NEED YOU TO TURN ON MY FAN!!" ....then 5 min later "MOM!! I CAN'T FIND MR. MONGOOSY!!" (<---his stuffed mongoose...he's really original with names....) I looked at my husband and said with a HUGE grin "I want SEVEN MORE!!" and he looked at me and said "Yeah no way, I'm rethinking the one we're planning now!" I love my son...but we were trying to relax and were having a moment! haha

I still have to read everyone's messages (lots to catch up on from this weekend). Weekend with hub's Grandmother was fantastic except for the whole sink fiasco. Pat got up early this morning though and fixed it all so I'm back to cooking this week!

I was feeling really sluggish though....all I wanted to do was sleep and tongiht when we got home from driving her back to his uncle's house I found out that the Provera has finally worked. So now I get to start counting again!!! For whatever reason, I'm really excited this month to try and the fact that I should be O'ing BEFORE my inlaws arrive for the holidays makes it UBER special....:blushing:

Have to go get caught up on my chores and strip down the bed, etc. so I can relax a bit tonight since we're back to waking up at 4am tomorrow!

How does everyone cope with all of the waiting? I am so frustrated waiting to know... and I know this probably isn't the last month of waiting.

The chances of me being pregnant are slim to none at this point but I already am thinking about buying a test because I am two days late probably due to hormonal issues. This would mean I had to get pregnant right before my IUD was removed and since it was partly out I guess it is possible. I can't imagine the suspense and pain of some of the ladies on here waiting and waiting each month.

I haven't had an official 2WW yet since we're not actively trying (although every month right around CD 25 I get antsy and convince myself i'm preggo  )

I have a game plan....Just BD until BFP or AF shows....continuing to "Try" even knowing that it may not be the right "time" I think will help me to think that we're being productive....and will be a fun distraction. Can't hurt!

    Hello ladies!
I have been trying to keep up with everyone this weekend. Sounds like its been a pretty good weekend in general. I loved The Hangover. :)

This weekend we signed the papers with our new tenant! I still cant believe we are done and signed! DH and I keep joking around that we won't know what to do in our evenings now that we don't have to go to the rental house and paint or work on anything. :) it's weird that we will have time to ourselves.

My eating has been extremely bad this weekend. We had to go out for a "celebration dinner". Yum I love me some Red Lobster! Lol. I am terrible when it come to those biscuits. With all the eating I should have worked out, but nope didn't do anything except walk around while shopping. :) not quite enough to counter the amount of calories I took in. O well, I'm a little ahead of my goals so I'll catch up this week (especially now that we don't have to go to the house).

19 days till Hawaii! I'm getting really excited. DH and I have started tanning to get ready. Lol it is his first time and not really liking it but he's doing it for me. :) so funny. Also I found an "open box" special HD camcorder that was on sale for $180 and regularly $550! So happy we will be able to bring HI back on video!

For TTC I have been testing and temping for O and nothing yet. Hopefully I'll see something soon, but I am a little worried that I haven't started to O after my depo. I think it would really be fun to conceive in HI, but not sure I'd that's an option. We'll see I guess. :)
Sorry for the rambling, its been a busy weekend. :) TTFN
  • Pam, this is one of the only times I will ever say this.... YAY FOR AF!!!!!!!!!!!

    Weigh In Stats
    FFF SW = 268.6
    Week 14 Weight = 241.2 (-2.4 lbs)
    Week 15 Weight = 240.7 (-0.5 lbs)
    Week 16 Weight = 239.9 (-0.8 lbs)
    Week 17 Weight = 240.1 (+0.2 lbs)
    Week 18 Weight = 237.0 (-3.1 lbs)
    Week 19 Weight = 237.9 (+0.9 lbs)

I was way down all week but because TOM hit....BOOM bad eating plus water retention equals up this week. My kitchen sink broke on the weekend so we got a homemade lasagna from one of the neighbourhood restaurants that specializes in homestyle food for when the family came to visit (and then ate it for lunch yesterday too and lunch today). Plus I didn't feel like cooking last night, so we ordered pizza.

Sink is back up and running today BUT I woke up feeling like S-H-I.....well, you get the picture. I've noticed that since I was sick last time, my nose and throat have been uber dry when I wake up. I don't like having the humidifier on over night, so I tried keeping the window open (I'd rather have 35 blankets and wake up okay than not). That didn't work plus with the food yesterday the heart burn was UNREAL. I know I always feel worse the first few days of AF too.

Jenny - Thanks....LOL I know it's weird saying congrats when this is a TTC, but if a cycle fails, we must try try again. I'm hoping for a quick AF though. Mine typically (if there is such a thing) are 8-15 days so I'd like to see it come to a normal 4-7 days....that would make me happy.

    Happy Monday ladies!!!

    SW: 204
    LW: 158.5
    CW: 155

I wasn’t expecting such a big drop, especially after the early Thanksgiving we had in New Jersey with DH’s family. It was a day filled with fried Spanish food and the best slice of cheesecake I ever had in my life!!!! Totally worth the calories. I kicked my butt with exercise all week and I guess I did enough to compensate. Only 5 more pounds to go!!!! I was so afraid that after being stuck for so long that I wouldn’t hit my end of the year goal, but now I believe I can do it again.

We actively start TTC in 4 weeks. I’m really excited but scared out of my mind. I know the chances of me getting pregnant the first month are extremely small, so I keep telling myself not to get too excited and that maybe it will happen by March or April, but my hopes are already up. For as much as DH wants a baby he’s not too concerned about it taking a while. Although I think at this point he’s more excited to BD every other day than is he to actually conceive.

Well, It is official ladies...I woke up this morning and AF hit me like a TON of bricks! So...My goals for the next week are to log all my calories everyday and work out for atleast 40 minutes 5 out 7 days. I would like to drop 3 pounds by the time I O again. I figure if I work hard the first two weeks of the month that will make the month seem to go faster! Here is to not gaining any weight over the Thanksgiving holiday!!!

Question: What is everybody thankful for this year?

    Hello everyone!

Wow, busy weekend and lots of posts to catch up on. My weekend wasn’t the greatest calorie wise, I went out to eat a couple times, but the worst calorie meal most definitely was the supper at an Indian restaurant! I just couldn’t resist the vegetarian samosas and the pan, yum… I’m salivating by just thinking of it. I also didn’t work out this weekend but that was because my muscles were still sore from the week. Somehow I managed to still loose a pound and a half. So if only I could stay good for the next two weeks I should be finally under 150!
