    Weigh In Stats
    FFF SW = 268.6
    Week 14 Weight = 241.2 (-2.4 lbs)
    Week 15 Weight = 240.7 (-0.5 lbs)
    Week 16 Weight = 239.9 (-0.8 lbs)
    Week 17 Weight = 240.1 (+0.2 lbs)
    Week 18 Weight = 237.0 (-3.1 lbs)
    Week 19 Weight = 237.9 (+0.9 lbs)

I was way down all week but because TOM hit....BOOM bad eating plus water retention equals up this week. My kitchen sink broke on the weekend so we got a homemade lasagna from one of the neighbourhood restaurants that specializes in homestyle food for when the family came to visit (and then ate it for lunch yesterday too and lunch today). Plus I didn't feel like cooking last night, so we ordered pizza.

Sink is back up and running today BUT I woke up feeling like S-H-I.....well, you get the picture. I've noticed that since I was sick last time, my nose and throat have been uber dry when I wake up. I don't like having the humidifier on over night, so I tried keeping the window open (I'd rather have 35 blankets and wake up okay than not). That didn't work plus with the food yesterday the heart burn was UNREAL. I know I always feel worse the first few days of AF too.

Jenny - Thanks....LOL I know it's weird saying congrats when this is a TTC, but if a cycle fails, we must try try again. I'm hoping for a quick AF though. Mine typically (if there is such a thing) are 8-15 days so I'd like to see it come to a normal 4-7 days....that would make me happy.

WOW! 8-15 days I feel sad for you!! Hoping it is a quick one!

Yeah - and that's "normal" for me. My abnormal ones (3-5 a year) last 20-190 days!!!!! I'm hoping the Metformin helps reduce the time....at least that would be a bonus!

I've got about 3 weeks until I O again (which is when I'll stop working out so hard) so if I stay on track I'm pretty sure I can reach my goal of losing 6-9lbs by then. This weekend was so-so but the week is looking promising! I've got lots to do and will stay super busy (which leads to a lack of snacking which is my downfall most of the time). I've leaving Thurs to Alabama to go be with my husband (which I'm super excited about).

Glad things are going well for everyone it seems! :)

Oh and I'm thankful for the love and support I have from my family and the fact that I found out what actually works to GET me pregnant...hoping now we can figure out what it takes to make that baby stick! :)

    Hey all!

I am the same weight I was last week, which makes me smile because I was doing everything right last week and at one point it the scale said I gained... but I worked out at a lower intensity for the weekend and upped my water intake, and I like where I am.

It took me until today to be able to walk normally from the stair workout on Thursdy though!

So Dh and I ran away to a cottage this weekend - it was sooo nice. They upgraded us when we got there to the Honeymoon cottage (yay!!!) so I had 3 long jacuzzi soaks  It was a nice break for us.

TTC - so as of yesterday I was on CD21 with no obvious sign of Oing (normally O at CD18) even thoughI had gotten + OPKs last week..... well today my temp SPIKED and FF declared I had ovulated..... on the 18th (it backdated it). I have no idea why it did that, but I hope it's right because we have done everything we can this cycle. I'll know in a week either way......

BUT - I've decided that it's okay if its not this month. This way our baby can have a school-year birthday, AND we'll have a chance to go skiing ths year. Bright side!

So this woman at work is pregnancy, and she really started to show a month ago - I was guessing 5 - 5 1/2 months max - nope - she's due in Jan! I hope I carry that way!

Goals for the week - no M&Ms!!!!! I really can't help myself. So my goal is to avoid them for this week, and just remind myself that I can have them again, and that they still exist, and that it's a only a few days. Plus, workout 4 days. I met my goal for last week, so I'm pleased with that :)

Happy Thanksgiving to all the US lades!

Morning Ladies and Happy Monday! I am coming to you from a local starbucks bc our internet is STILL not working....Hubster is calling about it today but we've decided since we're going to Ohio on Wednesday to just hold off or correcting the problem until December 1st that way we're not paying even a pro-rated amount to just go out of town and not use it!

Didn't even bother weighing in today....To be honest I need to get back on track with it and be more consistent with it. THAT is my goal! Track calories and actually weigh in every week like im supposed to. Although i DID do 40min on the elliptical this morning...I really enjoy the gym...I like the solitude of just turning on my music and just going for it....

So I bought a basil thermometor this yesterday, even though i got the + OPK on saturday I figured i'd temp for a few days just to SEE where i'm at and what happpens...so i took my temp this morning and it said 35.93 degrees and i freaked out!! HaHa Didn't realize it was set on Celsius vs Fahrenheit!

Good Monday! (Kind of) It's a bit dreary here, but with a high of 63 degrees!

    LW: 141.6
    CW: 139.8
    GW: 139
    YAY! So close!
This was a pretty bad weekend so I will have to work hard before those lbs. show up. I am debating on whether to have a new GW of 135. I am very comfortable where I'm at right now, but would it really hurt to go lower before getting preggo? But that also means that I will most definitely would need to buy new clothes...Ugh don't really have the money for that. So maybe not. Maybe I will just go to maintenance now. I am hoping the video store gets the Zumba Wii game in soon. I really want to try it out.

DH asked me last night "wouldn't it be neat to get pregnant in Hawaii?" So I know where his mind is. Then he says "we can (BD) like 4 times a day." They are all alike!

We are only 18 days away from Hawaii! I really can't wait, and I know that this week is going to go VERY quickly with how busy I will be. I have 5 Nutcracker Performances this weekend with Thanksgiving.

 I am thankful for all that God has blessed my with! Loving Family, a wonderful hubby, great health, a fun job, and financial comfort.

:ohwell: TOM is hitting me on the scale hard this time.

We've also had some tragedy in the family. I don't know a whole lot but my DH's cousin's SIL passed away on Friday. She was only 17  I think her sister is taking it really hard so I'm not sure yet what the Christmas holidays have in store for us, we usually get together with them, but who knows. I feel so bad for them. They JUST bought their first house last week and were really looking forward to moving in just before Christmas. Such a sad situation - I hope they can get through it peacefully, although I doubt it.

Other than that - all is quiet on the homefront here. Kcurtis - I love the nutcracker and am going to miss our local performance this year because of other obligations. Enjoy it!!! Jalara - Sounds really nice....I'm hoping to get away with DH sometime in Jan/Feb, but we'll have to see...Alisa, 35.93 is still pretty low....37 is normal for most

I'm not really motivated to do anything because of AF - not only does it mess with me on a hormonal level, but they are so heavy that the more movement I do, the more uncomfortable I am. So....going to try and eat well this week and hope that she's gone by the weekend :P I have to become better about taking my pills. I don't think I took a single one on the weekend, which is REALLY bad of me.

Also, I'm going to be picking up a new bottle of prenatals. Does anyone have a type they have had less problems with?

Pam – I’m sorry for you loss, it’s hard to lose anyone but even harder when the person is so young. I now take Vitafusion Gummies (I don’t like pills). I haven’t had any problems with them.

I was horrible yesterday….. :frown: It wasn’t so bad at first, I had a small pack of Reese’s peanut butter cups after lunch but then I went for a 2 miles walk as soon as I got home to work off the calories. Then after dinner I decided I needed to have a HUGE bowl of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. And if that wasn’t bad enough I added peanut butter to it. When DH walked in the room and saw me eating the ice cream he started to laugh. He said I looked like I was just caught robbing a bank! :embarassed: He said, “I’m not the food police, you can eat what you want. Just please don’t cry later tonight because your stomach hurts.” I did go to Zumba, but I’m sure I didn’t burn enough calories to even things out.

I’m in charge of dessert for Thanksgiving, so tonight I have to make pumpkin rolls and pumpkin pies. I’m hoping I’ll be able to do this without eating half of it before they make it to my mom’s house!!!

This whole temping thing is confusing...first off...I have to convert from C to F which is confusing enough...today my temp was 36C...maybe my temp is just low?? I didn't start temping until almost 48 hours AFTER I got the +OPK so i don't have a base line for before to really even see if it "Spiked".....how much will it spike? Am I supposed to temp everyday of my cycle or just while i'm testing with the OPK?

Im pretty sad...I stepped on the scale and it said 139.....I nearly cried! I KNOW its bc my water consumtion has SUCKED! Having to sit at starbucks for hours to have internet has depleted my hydration....SO MUCH CAFFEINE!!

We leave for OH in the morning...I am SO excited! It's starting to get cold here in Central CA so I can only imagine what it will be in OH! It's supposed to snow on saturday which would be AWESOME! We have plans to go to a concert on Wednesday night (assuming we don't get delayed in Denver or Chicago...yes we're flying thru both....what can i say they I got a REALLY good deal on the tickets!) the Thanksgiving is Thursday, Friday my MIL is having a second wedding reception for my husband and I since no one from OH was able to make it to our actual wedding, Saturday we're driving to Columbus to tailgate the Ohio State Vs. Michigan game (Go Buckeyes!) then relaxing family time Sunday and Monday! I'll be bringing my laptop so i can keep up with everything and everyone!

Pam - I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, It's always hard to lose a loved one, but even worse when you're not expecting it and it seems like their life was cut short.

139 is my goal! I can't wait to be that or below. I know I'm close, but .8 is pretty much a lb.
That is a super busy plan! Hope you have fun and GO BLUE! lol Have fun!

alisa- Im in ohio. Its not to bad, its been colder. Yesterday was nice and mild but rainy all freaking day. I hate the weather here and need to clean out my garage so I can park my van in it before it snows. Im surprised it took this long for us to get snow honestly.

I'm in MI (just outside of Detroit) And we have had the same weather. I'm also surprised that we haven't had any snow or flurries yet.

1 - Why are you converting? You can set FF to Celsius - it's what I use.
    2 - Mine normally ranges between 36.0 and 36.9.
3 - You may have missed the spike in temp sine you startied tracking after your OPK, but keep going with it! It can take a couple full cycles to get the hang of it. You'll be able to see some info this month - it'll dip right before AF comes.
    4 - Spikes can be 0.1 - 1 degree
5 - If you are temping you have to do it at the same time every day, even on weekend, otherwise the data is useless. That said, just because you are using OPKs deosn't mean you have to temp.

When I get home I will send you a link to my FF chart so you can take a look at mine. You can also browse chart galleries on FF for ones that look like yours.

    Hope this answers some questions!

Pam- I am so sorry for your loss. This summer I lost a friend (26) in the war and my best friends little sister died (21). If you need to talk about anything I am here for you and I understand how hard it can be,

KCurtis- I am in TN now but we grew up in Michigan. Where abouts are you from?

AF should be coming friday... I am hoping for one of two things 1) it doesn't come and I am preggo or 2) it comes normally! If it doesn't come on time and I am not preggo I will be very sad!

    Happy Holidays!
  • Pam: my condolences

Alisa: start temping regardless of where you are in your cycle. I recommend you temp every morning at the same time as was mentioned. I set my alarm even on the weekends and after I temp, roll over and go back to sleep. You will learn a lot about your body by temping and watching what it does throughout your cycle. For example:

The other day, my temperature dropped a half degree so I could physically see that my progesterone was leaving and AF was gearing up. Well, with such a drastic drop, I couldn't believe how bad my pms was that day! My cramps were so prominent I would have sworn AF was coming 3 days early and I was such a b*tch!!! When I stood back and looked at my chart though, I could say "wow, I can really see what's going on with my body here". It truly is an amazing thing! Here's my link to FF

I have great news! I worked really hard at work this year and am being rewarded with a big fat bonus! So a whole 2 months ahead of schedule I have 2 months worth of IUI $ at my disposal. I can essentially start trying as soon as the clinic says I can! woo hoo! When my boss told me I was like... "that's like 3 vials of sperm!!" I was so excited!

Happy Hump Day everyone! Oh and while ours has come and gone over a month ago, I hope all you Americans have a great Thanksgiving holiday! xo

is there any reason why temping first thing in the morning is best. Like what if say I temp at 8 every morning? and do I have to use any special thermometer or just a regular one.

I absolutely LOVE 'New Chapter' products. They are a bit more pricey but they are so good for you! The prenatals are super sensitive on your belly and you can take them even without eating anything. The payoff is that you have to take 1 pill 3 times per day...which gets a little much, but like I said, they are so good for you and they are sensitive on your stomach!

I get mine either online at amazon or at a health food store in the city.

    Welcome back Cudybug!!!

Your basal body temperature needs to be taken before even get up or go to the bathroom - that way outside indicators don't affect the temperature (movement, stretching, walking, voiding, talking, etc). The BBT needs to be consistant so the data gives accurate results. If you have a restless night, drank the night before, got up to pee 30 min before you normally take your temp - these all affect the temps and need to be recorded (I use Fertility Friend and it does all this stuff for me, because I don't think I ever could!).

Here's the link to my FF: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2f741a/rss1582.xml ) think the link should work for you guys!

Thanks everyone. I really didn't know her well, but my cousin in law seems to be holding up better than I would be in her position.

I'm having a horrible week overall though. TOM has hit me SOOOOOO hard. I'm a chocolate monster!!!!! Seriously blowing all my hard work out of the water. I won't even be able to blame TOM for all of the weight I've gained.....I have to get back on track in a serious way when this is done.....Not that I want to jinx it.....but today is day 3.5/4 and it looks like it might be easing off already!!! WOO HOO!!!

Well crap. I think I'm out this cycle. My cramps have shown up 3 days before my expected period, just like they always do. Now, I have a short luteal phase, so there's no way to know for sure yet, but still.... ugh. Period is due on Saturday according to FF, and it's been right so far.
    Ugh.
  • It's not over until AF shows up you know that! My best friend said for days she was CONVINCED AF was coming because she had cramps that felt exactly like pms cramps. Still have my fx for you!

I feel like I am losing my mind, so I am hoping somebody will either confirm or dispute that I am crazy.

I had my IUD out on November 09, it has half out on its own and they did a test because they said I could have gotten pregnant with it that way. The test was negative. I know I Od on November 5th for sure. We had relations on the 4th and the 5th and weren't trying thinking I was using birth control. I spotted for three days after removal but only on the tissue and it was super light. I am thinking bleeding from the removal, We then used the withdrawal method with good control until the end of last week.

I have taken two tests and they have BFN which is good as I think it is too soon after removal. The problem is that I am so naseous (sp) that I feel like I am going to throw up all day long. We went to a Chinese buffet and I couldn't eat yesterday as the smell made be feel awful. My gums were bleeding a few days ago and that only happens when I am pregnant. I am so tired and just feel feel overall icky. My lower back was hurting really bad yesterday and I thought oh good my AF will start and we can get a cycle under our belts. But no, I had three spots as tiny as the end of a sewing pin on the tisse this morning of really brown/black blood and that is it.

I have been reading on-line about symptoms after removal but still don't know if I am losing my mind or what?

Does anybody have anything to say about any of this???? PLEASE!

Amanda - it sounds promising to me! You have a lot of symptoms! Although - I could have sworn I was last month (I was living on ginger-ale for about a week) and I wasn't.
If it's not a baby, maybe it's your hormones sorting themselves out? I've heard that the first period after an IUD can be a doozey!

GL! And thanks for the wishes my way... not feeling it though...

I don't know anything to help you! BUT I would call my doctor and have them do a blood test to check for sure to see if you are pregnant.

    Amanda,

So if you know for sure you O'd on the 5th, you might see some spotting between the 12-15th if you were pregnant. I wouldn't expect it still so late. If you've taken tests recently (like yesterday/today) then I would say they are probably accurate (although not a guarantee). You can call your doctor, as AnneElise said, but really, they aren't a whole lot more accurate than a home test.

Early pregnancy symptoms and PMS symptoms can be very similar because they both are started with progesterone. Mirena IUDs are treated with hormones so having one removed will mess with your cycles. It is possible to get pregnant on the first cycle off, but there is a very low chance of it.

The doctor might still be a good idea as they can check your other hormone levels and maybe give you a chance to understand what's going on. Black/brown blood is typically older blood, fresh stuff is bright red (sorry if TMI). Because you were on the IUD, you may not have been completely shedding and the body is responding by spotting.

Wow, thanks for the responses! You are all so appreciated because I serious feel like I am going crazy. I REALLy wish AF would get here so I could get on with my life.

I am going to test in the AM and then let it go. If it is negative then I will just wait for AF. This is so frustrating to me but will be so worth it in the long run.

Thanks again and I wish I had a magic wand to throw baby dust all over the place for everybody who is ready for some! :flowerforyou:

Decisions, Decisions for tomorrow, do I eat healthy or pig out. It is only one day of the year right? I just walked 2.5 milkes uphill on treadmill, so thinking I will eat what I want, just not stuff myself as usual......I think I will walk most of it off on Black Fiday anyways :) Week one down in the 2ww, why does it always drag by so slow???:grumble:
