Do you still have to check out before 8pm and they are closed on Sunday? We left CT 12 years ago, took awhile to get used to those rules when we first moved there!

Oh and that thing you push around the grocery store is a buggy, not a cart.

My Popeye (grandfather, couldn't say PeePaw when I was little) still calls the refrigerator the ice box. I just love that man.

It is a buggy in Texas too. And I have stopped the use of the word "ice box," despite my own parents using it. It is a fridge.

The thing you push around in a SUPERMARKET is a TROLLY in the UK :)

They can open on Sunday now, but only until 5 pm. They can open on holidays too. And I think they can stay open until 9 pm. Not all of them do, some stick to the old schedule.

I'm in Alabama, but my husband's family is from all over, so I've picked up how he says things sometimes.
Soda (even though people think we all only say Coke down here. There's a difference between Coke and Pepsi and I WILL specify!)
    Neither... It's a sandwich.
    Lightening bugs.

Sounds like Texas.. Liquor stores closed on Sunday. You can only buy beer and wine after 12p. You know.. after you get out of your baptist church listening to why the preacher said alcohol is bad, then you can stop by the grocery store and pick up a 6 pack before going home. :indifferent:

Oh my god.. Are you a fellow southerner?! And we use the word pallet to mean any type of blanket assortment that is used on the floor instead of a bed LOL. Like if you had a bunch of friends over, you would make a pallet for them!
