freeze bananas and then put them in the blender....kinda like ice cream/frozen yogurt!!
no.
just.
no.
That's actually pretty delicious...
Frozen bananas also serve as an excellent smoothie base. Bananas + Raw Milk + Raw Eggs.
As an extra in smoothies? sure (although I'll skip the raw egg)
but as their own "dessert"

King's Hawaiian dinner rolls and whipped cream with food dye?0

I would substitute cake and ice cream with cake and ice cream. Six times a year for cake and ice cream should not slow down anything. Save 500 calories for each event, enjoy yourself and celebrate the birthday with no regret.
Agreed. There is no substitute. One serving of birthday cake won't sink the ship. The problem is all those leftovers...0 -
Try chocolatecoveredkatie.com
But I like the idea to just buy enough to feed each person once, too.0 -

It really is similar to ice cream... You can of course add things like dates to sweeten it up or fruits to flavor it up too.
Challenge accepted. After I have that, I'll have my pint of Talenti0 -
This 4th of July I actually discovered the alternative to Birthday cake and ice cream.
Lemon Cream cheese pie. I will probably eat an entire one on my next birthday.
Ok and probably some ice cream too.0 -

I usually make a healthy whole wheat "dessert bread" You can make various whole wheat no added sugar loafs like apple cinnamon, pumpkin, blueberry etc. and slice it into pieces and serve with yogurt and a bunch of fresh fruit0

Can I come? It will redeem your s***** friend-ness.0 -
I didn't expect this huge of a response in a simple question.
Just because the question was simple, does NOT make it unimportant. I know I could personally write beautiful poems, stories, and haiku's about birthday cake and ice cream. I mean, it is a subject pretty close to my heart.0 -

No. You do frozen bananas, cocoa powder, and milk. It's LIKE a milkshake, but not quite. We call it the 'banana freezie' and it's become a delicious dessert in our household. Definitely not a substitution for ice cream though.0 -
There is no alternative. My birthday is Friday and I am having my favorite, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. I'll eat light that day and walk a little more. :-D0

I don't think I understand the question...

I don't know if you can or not...
...but seeing that, I think I just did.
(Okay, not quite...
...but it moved a little.)0
