They always say the higher the heel, the better your butt looks

But I will wear the heels when I need too!

I can wear a 3 inch wedge high heeled sandal made by Crocs. It is VERY comfy but I do frequently walk like a calf in it. I generally stick to sneakers and flat Crocs. My feet get very achy otherwise.

Wait... hold the phone!! Crocs made a wedge sandal.... what I am imagining is not pretty...

I am over 6' tall, with size twelve feet. I can buy my shoes locally in ONE place - payless.

Payless takes their average shoe with the average heel and just enlarges it.. which enlarges the heel.

Which often changes a 2" heel in size 7 to a 3.5" heel in size 12.
And a 3" heel in size seven to a 4.5" heel.

So, when I go into look at my selection, I see about a dozen pairs with a 4" heel, and then ugly fuzzy slippers. Or crappy flip flops.

Often times.. I have to take the heel.

But that's ok... Cuz I rock it!

And Mirey Gal is HOT. Rock those heels grrl! I wear a 12 too so I totally identify.

    :smooched: thank you!

I'm a guy who doesn't understand high heels.

Short is cute; tall is manly.

    What a dumb statement

I'm a guy who doesn't understand high heels.

Short is cute; tall is manly. And since about 1% of women can actually walk in heels and not look ridiculous, the chances are you are not one of them.

I think you should re-evaluate the tall=manly thing. Have you seen Miranda Kerr recently? Or any model for that matter?

PS: I'm short, and can walk...nay DANCE like a champ in heels. Seriously. I teach a dance class in 5 inch stiletos.

I envy girls who can wear heels!
I wear a prosthetic leg and already look awkward walking with a slight limp. If I wore heels it would be a huge disaster for me. (Hush puppies are my dress shoe friends)

I like to wear heels in all heights, from $1 store flip flops to 6 inch black patent. Shoes are entirely dependent on occasion.

Shoes used to make me happy. I haven't actually purchased a pair of shoes that weren't flip flops or athletic in almost 2 years, but I did enough damage in the previous decade to last a while.

I'm 5'10'' and don't need extra height, I don't walk gracefully in high heels, have never worn a comfortable pair. I do like the look when someone pulls them off though.

Something in here reminds me of this: from "Let's watch some porn and have wild sex"/privacy of home to "Oh my god those lowly people working in the porn industry, let's all behave like better humans"/Sunday church. Nasty superiority.

I'm 5'10". I don't need the height. I wear them because they are pretty  And, well, longer legs are never a bad thing....

I'm short even with heels and I do like being taller with them. When I wear them it's mostly to work because they complete the outfit. Some of my pants just don't look right with flats. Often the same reason with a dress or skirt also. About the only time I don't wear heels is with shorts, jeans or capris.

I’m always curious about what the opposite sex is thinking. What's up with high heels?

I'm curious as to what characteristics make a high heel go from sexy tasteful to whorey skanktastic in a milisecond. Is it the height of the heel? The color? The straps?

Why do women sacrifice comfort to wear these contraptions?

No clue I am 5'9 so never needed to wear them -shrugs-

This is mine. I fell in love with the color and get compliments on them ALL THE TIME. They are super comfy and I have them in black, too.

No worries. I'm not trying to look sexy. I think they look nice - we all have different tastes. What other people consider "sexy" cause my feet to cry out in pain. I am happy to have a fun pair of heels I can wear instead of sneakers and flats all the time. I'm a big Crocs fan, because they helped me tremendously when I had plantar fasciitis and could not walk in ANYTHING but Crocs.

So I'm partial to them. And grateful for them. Would I wear them to a fancy dress dinner? Of course not, but they look nice with jeans or a sundress.

Sexy is how you carry yourself, and it's ENTIRELY possible to look sexy in those.
and... It's a lot better than most of the options I have!

I very rarely wear high heels, I am far more comfortable in flat shoes. if i do wear heels, the SO makes me pack a pair of flats otherwise I get incredibly whingey.

I will wear heels if the occasion calls for it but I love boots, smart trainers and pumps best of all. I'm okay with being short.

As a work of art, a high-heel shoe can be beautiful. I have never, ever, at any age, at any weight, been able to wear them. I cannot even stand up in them. It feels like an elephant is standing on my toes! The pressure on my toenails is unbelievable. I am told, "you have to get used to them." I refuse to subject myself to pain even ONE time. Those torture chambers can stay right there in the stores, where they belong, and I will admire them from afar.
