Do you think I could use egg whites to seal the egg rolls? Wanted to trim the cals down. Or do u think I need the yolk?

i used egg beaters so i think you would be ok

l I made the rice for my boyfriend...but my meal was only 465 calories for 2 egg rolls, a LOT of the stir fry...and some orange chicken sauce :)

Thanks so much for posting this recipe, I made them 2 days ago, I still have some in the freezer.
P.S you can also seal the egg rolls wrappers with water, no more calories there!!

I made these last night, but added julienned carrots and bell peppers. I think for the tiny bit of egg wash you use, it doesn't matter if you use the yolk or not...and I mean, really, it's 1 or 2 calories, I'm sure. I added a splash of skim milk too

I plan on experimenting with this as a base though! There has to be a way to make them flavorful with less sodium from the sauces (i love those sauces haha)

I made these yesterday and they were fabulous! So easy to make!

I used fresh bean sprouts instead of canned and I omitted the oyster sauce. I don't use cooking spray (Dr. Oz says it's not good for you) so I greased the cookie sheet with olive oil and lightly brushed olive oil on the tops of the egg rolls.

Definately a keeper recipe and I'm going to make another batch to keep in the freezer.

    Thanks for sharing the recipe.

I made these and they were fabulous. My filling was a little different (no mushrooms or sprouts) added chopped celery and cilantro and I added some crushed red pepper flakes for some heat.

I also brushed the top of each roll with egg/water mixture before I baked them. They turned out crispy and delicious. I will definitely make them again. They were great! Thanks for the idea!
