    Hi Everyone,

My name is Usha. I am from India currently living in US. I have a wonderful 4 yr old daughter. I love to cook, teach kids, learn new things. I have been participating sincerely in MFP since Dec 1st and I love the support from the community. I started working out regularly starting this week. This is my first challenge ever. I want to prove myself that I can do it.

I can't remember the last time I made a New Year's Resolution, hopefully that doesn't jinx me

    1. Reach my goal weight (I'd love to get there by summer, but would be excited the get there at all)
    2. Once I hit my goal, maintain and keep up all the great habits I'm developing
    3. Maintain my 4.0 GPA - pretty proud of what I've done so far
    4. Get my braces off (okay so I have no control over this, but I'd love to see it happen)

So happy to have lost a decent number this week, 2.6! And to be down 2.8 total is awesome for me. I think that for the next week, I'm going to switch my goals to maintain. Don't want to gain!

Godblessourhome...shorties unite! I'm glad I'm not the only short one here. We share the same healthy range...although sometimes I think to myself, 95 lbs? Really? For a woman my age? Don't bones and organs weigh alot?

    My New Years Resolutions are:
    1. Join a gym. My motivation to move is too low to exercise at home during the winter months.
    2. Commit to showing up at the gym 3 times a week. Even if all I do is walk on the treadmill for 20 minutes, I gotta sign in and suit up!
    3. Commit to making at least one home cooked dish a week. (I do more "assembling" than cooking in my kitchen...)
    4. To do one fun thing a month that does *not* involve going out to eat.

I weighed Friday but never checked in. Days seem to be flying by...some of you have already checked in 2X, I figured I better get on the ball.

Great job to all of you! Even if everyone's weight loss isn't what you'd have hoped for you are sticking with it and checking in. Thanks for the motivation!

Well, not such a good start to my day....I'm up three pounds from last week. I know it's probably only water retention but it's very discouraging. I ate very well this week and exercised 4 out of 7 of those days. Guess I've just got to work harder! *sigh*

I had the same thing happen to me. Up until last week I'd hit a little plateau and didn't moe for about 3 weeks. I get up with my eating but took a little break from exercising for 4 or 5 days. Once I started again it seems to have jump started things.
