10/8 ~ 1.21 mi (6.81) (-38.19) Been having increasing issues with my IT Band and am starting some physical therapy to strengthen my hips to help out. REALLY don't see myself making even this small goal, but I'll keep at it!
Sorry to hear about your IT band struggles. :'( You are wise to take it easy & seek physical therapy now. This summer I ran with young guy who kept running till he just couldn't stand the pain anymore. His doctor told him absolutely no running for 3 months while he does pt to repair the damage he's done. I'd go bonkers if I couldn't run at all.
Month is not going well so far. The cold and wet weather has hit with a vengeance. First run of the week since Sunday and my time on my regular route was up by a minute. Waterproof running jacket is now on order! Never thought this running malarkey would mean so much I'd actually seek our new gear!!!!
That's what happens to me in fall. Finding the right combination of layers to stay warm & dry without being overdressed is tricky. The shopping part is fun though. ;)

    DATE : MILES : TOTAL
    Oct 1 : 4.3 & 7.2 : 11.5
    Oct 2 : 5.2 easy : 16.7
    Oct 3 : 6.1 & 6.6 : 29.4
    Oct 4 : 1.1 : 30.5 just keeping my streak
    Oct 5 : 13.5 : 44
    Oct 6 : 7 & 3.1 : 54.1
    Oct 7 : 1 : 55.1
    Oct 8 : 5.1 rain : 60.2

10/08 = 7 miles, outdoors. Watched the Lunar Eclipse!!!
Lucky you! It was too cloudy here. Did you catch the selenelion? (eclipsed moon and sun in the sky at the same time).

It was supposed to be hot - in the mid 80s and now they are saying much nicer. We are expecting 60 at race start and mid to low 70s by the finish at the beach! Should be perfect running weather! Have a great (long!) race!

What gear did you end up buying? Let me know how it works out for you.

I have the Nike women's Ripstop running jacket - got it a few years ago for running in the rain but I am sure they have something comparable today. It is very light weight, has good ventilation and works well in all kinds of rain and wind. It is not however designed for when it is also really cold. You would need to layer a warmer top under it.

No, I didn't catch that one alive. Strangely enough, on the morning of the Lunar Eclipse, I counted over 20 bunnies, when usually its only about 3-5 bunnies per run. I am convinced the Moon had something to do with that :#
