its funny because i love make up more even tho u can on ly wear it for a few hours but i feel like nails chip and come off anyways so I dont go crazy with nail art but I am currently obsessed with gel nails that last way longer. i stick to the basic colors tho neutral, french manicure and sometimes red:

I have some make up, but my only thing that I would never leave the house with is my lipstick. i don't wear much make up at all but lipstick must always be on...i feel naked without it...lol.

Nola, I've visited the promised land! I got invited to go to the Estee Lauder company store where everything is discounted...and then employees get 40% off of the discounted price...and then the friend who invited me bought me whatever I wanted using their quarterly store credit. It was SO much better than FAO Schwartz (where I was planning on being before the company store was mentioned). Did you know Estee Lauder owns a TON of companies? They own MAC, Bobbi Brown, Bumble& Bumble, Clinique, Coach (perfume), Origins, Smashbox, Aveda...I had no clue. It was like walking into the chocolate room in Willy Wonka's factory. The products in the store weren't current offerings, but were more of past collections/promotions/gifts with purchases. Who cares!

I came home with a Bobbi Brown lipgloss (one of my all time favorites, Rose Sugar), two MAC eyeshadows (Rani and Pink Split), and Coach Legacy perfume (in an adorable purse-sized bottle)! All for free, thanks to my fantastic and generous friend.

wow! i'm so jealous! i know exactly what u mean, there's a makeup outlet nearyby (1hr) but the drive is so worth it cuz even tho the items are not currently in stock they have been discounted and sometimes u get awesome sets really cheap! i wud have lost it if i were u haha.

i am so happy with this purchase. i gotta say disappointed in the tarte rising start palette and thinking of taking it back. we'll see.

pink: make up outlets are awesome! u get to buy gift with purchase sets (which shud be free) but u dont have to purchase anything else like an instore purchase with purchase. example i boughtt last year's estee lauder holiday gift with purchase for $50 which is not bad considering in store it was free *with a $75 purchase. i thought it was worth it for 4 lipsticks, 4 blushes, 18 eyeshadows, make up remover, 3 eyeliners, make up case, mirros, and 3 make up brushes!

i've also gotten a bobbi brown concealer for like $11 pretty good but my cheap almay concealer is actually better.

speaking of i'm currently obsessed with finding the perfect concealer! what's everyone likeing right now? (for under eyes that is! )

I hear you on the drugstore brands being better than prestige cosmetics sometimes. Snce I started couponing I've been buying more drugstore makeup and I've been plesantly surprised by some of the things I find. Wet 'N Wild eyeshadow and nail polishes are fantastic. Maybelline Falsies mascara is my current fave. I'm no help on the concealers though because I am still addicted to Bare Minerals foundation/bronzer. I did try Revlon ageless (I think) concealer and it seemed pretty good. Got it for super cheap at Ulta.

Oh yeah and the whole "shouldn't be buying more"...definitely there too!! LOL I am out of Urban Decay Sinful Shadow Primer and eyeliner in Zero...two of my staples. And then I have my eye on this adorable little ring from Coach. I really don't need more treats for myself but holy crap are they tempting!!

pink what goodies have u been getting with coupons? i tried to get into it but i just havent had the time to get organized. what r some recent deals u've found?

i agree on WNW they are really good stuff especially the 8 pan palettes. the comfort zone palette is my absolute favorite - it has kept me out of trouble by not making me wish I had the UD naked palette which everyone has and everyone insists is awesome. i think its nice n all but i already have so many neutral palettes i can't justify buying another one!

My favorite recent deal was getting six Nivea lip products completely free. I also have been getting great deals on my face Maybelline mascaras. You pretty much just need to keep you eye out on the sales, and when a sale comes up for something you want, you search though your coupons for a match. ULTA is a really good place to coupon as they are constantly having sales and also offering their $3.50 off of $10 or some coupon promo like that and they accept manufactuer's coupons.

Oh and there is currently a WNW coupon out there. You can probably grab it online from a coupon clipping service (coupons hold no cash value, so when you buy them online you're paying for the finding/clipping/organizing costs of the seller).

I just bought Maybellines Age Rewind Concealer and give it a big thumbs up! It is really good at staying put! I have a problem with concealers creasing on me and this one didnt! so glad I have found a replacement for my fave MAC concealer! yay!

Same here! I wear makeup from the moment I wake up until the moment I am certain noone will see me haha. You just never know who you will run into~I always think, "If Se7en (a Korean singer I love) came to my door, how would I feel about myself?" I also apply this to my underwear...I buy new underwear frequently because, "If my skirt fell off right now, would I feel ashamed of my underwear?"

Does anyone else wear makeup frequently for this same reason?

i've also been hearing good things about this concealer! hmmmm may need to try it. i've tried everything! benefit erase paste, bobby brown creamy concealer, elf, revlon, etc NOTHING works like my almay bright eyes concealer which may be discontinued :S

is ur skin dry? and do u use it under eyes for dark circles? (that's my main concern)

I am more of a drugstore make-up kind of lady. I love New York Color (NYC), mostly found at Walmart and Walgreens around here. Except their mascaras are not so great. My favorite mascara is Avon's SuperShock or Wet n Wild Megalash Clinical Macara.

I already know I will be spending a LOT of time in this thread...

I have missed you guys!! I found some great stuff... at walmart!! i got this liquid glitter eye shadow by hard candy...it is AMAZINg. it looks so cute on...so easy to apply...and lasts all day. And comes in fun colors! I got the green and the pink and i am in love. its good for going out...but since i work on the ambulance and my unfirom is so manly i put some on to add some fun girly-ness to my day!! haha

also, revlons aqua powder foundation is SO smooth and feel so good on....

MAKEUP MAKEUP MAKEUP!! I LOVE IT ALL!!! lol I LOVE Mac! I have like a million tubes of lip gloss and lip stick. I can never get enough. and yes, even though the bottle looks like it's the same exact color as yesterday's lip gloss, it isn't! lol (or so I convince myself). I love Mac Foundation as well, by far the best I've tried. I have the 120 color palette they have (it was a gift) so I like to play with the colors. mascara and blush is what completes the look.

woohoo that's awesome! loving this thread. pink 9and others) i'm doing a travelling beauty box on the beauty broadcast facebook page. i think they deleted the thread by now but i will start it back up. so here is how it works....

the travelling beauty box is filled with make up goodies both new and used. once you receive it you take things that u like and replace them with new or gently used items of yours that you no longer use or want to swap. then you ship it off to the next person on the list.

its so much fun! i found a new gloss (hard candy glossaholic) a new avon lipstick that i love finally the perfect peachy lips! and the milani blush in maitai (hard to find in stores near me). there's also nail polish, make up palettes, accessories, anything cute haha.
